Does what it's ment to – Have only had this unit a couple of months. But so far it works fine has a ten liter water tank for the water to air feature but only have to fill it once every couple of days in humid weather as it takes moisture from the air as well. Cools my medium bedroom fine. Just switch it on about an hour before bed. And as far as noise goes for a portable aircon it's good compressor is very quiet and all you can really hear us the swoosh from the air being blown out. I have had a few portables and this would be the best unit I have owned so far. Would be lost without it and hope it does me well for a few summers to come. Quiet works well Nothing as yet
