Don't get sucked in by the TV hype about the NutriBullet! – I spent hours studying reviews on blenders as I wanted to start making healthy daily smoothies. By and large the reviews for the NutriBullet are not good (they tend to start smoking after a few months and getting money back was often hard for purchasers). I stumbled across the Optimum and saw the reviews were consistently fantastic plus it's an Australian product with a 5 year warranty so I went ahead and bought the Optimum 8200 in May this year. I have used it every day and am thrilled with it. My HSC daughter has started to also make a daily smoothie when she gets home from school. Apart from its sturdy quality, it's very easy to use and clean. As I only use it for veggie and frozen fruit smoothies, I only need to rinse it, which takes less than 1 minute and its free of residue. The beauty is that I have no trouble sticking to the daily use, it's not a chore at all. I put greens such as silverbeet and spinach and mint in a bag the night before, shove it in the fridge then pull it out in the morning and add a glass or so of tap water and frozen fruit (very good quality snap frozen supermarket packets), which takes only a minute or so to make. I am honestly so very very pleased, it has exceeded my expectations. A terrific Aussie product, highly recommended.
