Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZR1

Excellent – I bought this camera when overseas in Europe and since I had limited time to buy one, I settled with the trusted brand of Panasonic. I am very pleased with this camera as it has performed to the highest quality and produced some outstanding point-and-shoot shots. The video is also very high quality, to my pleasant surprise, and the zoom is an added bonus. I highly recommend this camera. Compact, excellent zoom for such a small camera, point and shoot, HD video recording, fair screen size, overall a good, strong camera for everything from sight seeing to family shots. Nothing that stands out as being specially brilliant.

I love this camera! – This camera isn't very expensive, and it has many amazing features. It has amazing quality, and awesome zooming. I bring this camera on all of my vacations, whether it is too the beach, or Texas, but this camera handles any lighting and glare. This camera is also compact, and easy to carry along with you. I would recommend this camera to anyone! Not many bad things I could even think of :). cheap, portable, amazing.

A camera that virtually takes photos itself! – High quality digital photos, true! I recommend for "Value for Money too" E-zoom feature (up to 15.6x), you don't want to miss, for that "in the moment shot" Not a particularly fast lens, but the "Performance and Sharpness" it definitely has got! Zoom feature grabs that "in the moment shot, true! Price is definitely great value too! Not a particuluarly fast lens, true! But like in life, "Good Things to Capture" are totally worth waiting for too!

Excellent – I have researched this camera extensively and for the money this is the best buy, in my opinion. Canon (used to have an IXUS80) is great but overpriced in terms of zoom. Olympus has poor photo quality for the price, Sony WX1 is almost level with this panasonic, but has some design flaws, overall I highly recommend this camera. Having an optical 8x zoom with wide angle in such a compact camera with a Leica Lens is just wonderful and the HD video footage is very good also. Wide Angle Lens, great design to hold in hand comfortably, very easy to use, scene menu, very sharp, precise outdoor photos, very light-slips in pocket.

Excellent – Being a camera novice I did a lot of research as to what camera to buy, and with a baby on the way I wanted a decent quality 'point and shoot' with HD video. This camera didnt disappoint. Outdoor photos are amazing and the video quality is fairly good, although indoor pictures could be a little sharper. Price is also coming down which is a plus. HD video, good quality pictures, compact size. No lighting available while filming, indoor photos slightly soft, picture size extremely large when transferred to computer, requires very high speed SD card to capture HD video (and these are expensive).
