DISGRACEFULL – I have never had such an appalling customer relations issue with an electrical item as I have had with my ducted LG air conditioner. arrive btw 9 and 1) and more "waiting" they cam to the conclusion that I came to after 2 service calls that it wasn't fixable. All General Whitegoods (contractor) faxes LG for a replacement. 1 week goes by - no communications. Finally ring LG - say they never got fax (what century are we in BTW) and ask for resend. Another week. LG say they have no record of this and ask for resend. Guess what - another week goes by and I get a competent person at LG who says she will follow up and does. Finally get email (yeh!) - now changeover must be approved by management which will take up to 7 days. It doesn't work - why does it need "approval". Anyway, after more daily phone calls i lose my block and ask to speak to management. The customer service lady claims she is a manager. She will hand it to the "approvals manager" who is now away sick. To cut a boring story short it is now 14 July unit has arrived at All General who will install on 19 July. Wow! LG's customer service is absolutely non existent. The should be totally emabarrassed that an air conditioner under warranty has taken 2 months to be fixed. I am taking the time to write this as I am totally flabbergasted that there has been only a "sorry" from one of the customer serice ladies. No letter, no phone calls....NOTHING. I would strongly advise anyone thinking of getting an LG air con - DON'T. Life's Good - what a joke.As far as I'm concerned my family is freezing and it shouldn't be up to the customer to make phone call after phone call. Our Mitsubishi air con in our Melb rental property did the same thing - absolutely no problem, they changed it over with no hassle.

Terrible – Compressor failed within the first week. Replacement compressor failed at the end of the first summer. LG's service people now say that "I" have to install a "safe work platform" for them before they will replace it. Terrible – Service and customer support is terrible, they are not interested in their DODGY product or the customer. Have no faith in product or manufacturer. it does a reasonable job of cooling and heating. It is not noisy. It will not operate sometimes (often) and it has been altered at least three times.Although it has done little workp probably 500 hours in total the compressor has now seized up an it is going to cost $2000+ to fix.
Excellent – Good air conditioner sorry to hear u other consumers have had faulty ones i had a fujitsu and it only lasted 6 months before it lost its cooling and heating power and became useless and fujitsu didnt want to know so i boughtthe LG most of my appliances are LG and have had no trouble at all. worst brands ive had are panasonic,… Read more
fujitsu,electrolux,breville,mitsubishi and fisher and pykle stay clear!! Its LG and it is brilliant like all their products
Terrible – I agree - the service is pathetic/non existent. We have had nothing but trouble with our LG air conditioner. Just to get them out to service it takes weeks, then they have to get the parts in, and they seem to forget about you. We have been freezing this whole winter. I am so frustrated. Good – I was advised to not have any amateurs or beginners installing my new LG air conditioners. I did as per instructions/recommendations and it did not cost me that much more over many cheapo installations offered in the local newspapers, etc. The installer team, in fact is on a panel listing to repair air conditioner in banks, etc. I have no regrets so far. Fast Cooling! Not Good Looking like more costlier models
Terrible – If anyone buys an LG (Goldstar) product they serious need their head examined. Absolute rubbish brand with hopeless customer support. Aircon went down on the 12th of December, Service bloke looked at it 25th of January and now still hasnt come back to fix it. So every day we keep calling and still bugger all response. Absolute rubbish, never again LG It works occasionally Its an absolute piece of rubbish
