Canon MV700i

Terrible – I spoke to the Canon guys and they agreed to the fact that a particular lot was faulty. The company should have recalled these faulty models back, but risked the bad word of mouth by sitting tight on their profits. Now I never stop telling everyone, to never touch a Canon. Cheap to purchase. Easy to use. This is what put me off the Canon brand. I used it about 10 times in the warranty period and comes the 13th month (wonder why?), it just stopped displaying the picture in the viewfinders.
Terrible – Well it wasn't actually this camera but it has put me off Canon products for good. So I won't actually rate this particular camera to be fair, but I rate the motherboard 0. It lasted 3 years. It died after 3 years and the Canon repair quote came out at more than I bought it for.
Terrible – Complete let down not very happy with camera should be better quality like my old Sony was wont buy cannon ever again I thought buy a cannon it would be good what a mistake went on holiday and it would not work the cdd for the picture would not come on it is on call back from cannon as faulty and repaired free but no filming on hols had a Sony before never any problems!!Now will sell cannon and buy another Sony Not good quality used twice and broke rely on name too much not as good as cannon make out read pros above
Good – This camera is excellent for children to learn the use of digital video without having an expensive price tag and not having to be too concerned if it gets knocked about by them. Great Price A longer life battery would be avantage; unable to use extension mic.
Bad – The price is the lowest among the cheap DV camera with powerful 18X optical zoom, this is the reason i bought this DV camera. 1.18X optical zoom 2.Acceptable image stabilizer, (steady shot?) 3.Cheap 1. LCD not vivid. 2. Low video quality when low light. 3. Poor still image quality (expected, so acceptable) 4. Overall video quality is so so. 5. Chuncks of digital effects.
