Great Experience – Great experience. These tyres seem like big improvement over my previous Bridgestones. They are so much more quiet. Of course the telling thing will be how long they last but with the expert advice I was given by the tyre fitter I'm expecting t least the same mileage and hopefully better.
Excellent grip, sidewalls terrible, tyres don't last, improve on the technology! – Excellent grip on long boring straight roads and cornering in hairpin bends both wet and dry conditions - amazing grip! I own an AMG C63 LTD 2010, it came fitted with the Yokos Advan Sport V103 S. I travelled from Durban to Cape Town on a set of new tyres. I came back via N2 to Durban, just about 8 kilometers before the City of Port… Read more
Elizabeth, the left rear tyre lost pressure rapidly due to severe tyre wear and upon inspection, both rear tyres were completely worn off, smooth as a Banana skin, with the treads highly visible. Additionally the front left tyre had a buldge. Since then I switched into Continental - imagine on a single trip to loose 3 tyres, it's not worth investing in these tyres unless they improve their technology!
Sidewalls like butter – As other reviews have stated these offer great grip and awesome traction in the dry, road noise is negligible (can only hear the v8 purring) but the sidewalls are fragile and ultimately terrible. After only 4000kms the Continentals I have on the front still look like they have come out of the factory but the Yokos look like they have been thru a… Read more
war zone and the rear drivers side blew today. The car has not been abused or taken any knocks and always garaged since i have owned it.
Don't expect these to last long – Own Subaru Liberty GT-B AWD , these tyres came with the car . Outstanding grip wet or dry , cornering was amazing , But don't expect these tyres to last long with 120 tread wear rating . Only got about 25,000 km's out of them . Ended up getting a bubble on the side wall of two tyres durability not that good . Show details
Amazing grip ! – Own a 450 hp turbo charged k24a4 accord and i must say im pleased with the tyres . They are top notch the grip in wet and dry is excellent nothing to complain about . Was pretty unsure when i brought them but they proved me wrong . Will recommend them to anyone Show details
yokohama advan sport 295/40/20 on a 2008 Mercedes ML320 CDI with AMG RIMS. W164 – I changed from a Federal tyres 295/45/20 to these 295/40/20 as I wanted a quality tyre for my wife's car. I don't doubt Yokohama is a quality manufacturer. I have had big issues with the tyres on the front being "darty". It is fine on flat smooth road, as soon as it hits a small imperfection in the road it darts off side to the side. I have… Read more
checked all the steering, suspension and wheel alignment twice and it was all spot on. It is awful to drive. I cant think of anything else it could be other then the tires. I am going to pull all 4 off and put another brand on.
Not value for money – I paid $1400 for 4 tyres for my Ford G6E and they only lasted 27,000 Km's. I do long drives on bitumen roads. I do not flog my car or my tyres. Yes the grip was great and handling was good in wet and dry conditions. No tyre noise in the cabin. But wearing out that fast was very disappointing and I will not be investing in another set of Yokohama… Read more
tyres. Bridgestone have my business now. The grip was great and handling was good in wet and dry conditions. No tyre noise in the cabin. The tyres were completely bald at 27,000 km's. At $350 per tyre and not pushing the tyres to extreme limits - I have an expectation of at least 40,000 Kms out of a quality tyre. There are far better tyres that provide value out there.
Grip like crazy, but short short life – Prone to sidewall damage. Rear tires were worn out in 10,000km. On a recent trip to port Douglas from Sydney I could see these visibly wear out more and more after each day's driving. Hitting a modest pot hole caused a sidewall bulge to develop on two tires. They grip like crazy in the dry and are ok in the wet, but the wear rate is four… Read more
times that of the original Bridgestones. In similar driving conditions I got 47,000 km out of the original tyres and if I was more careful about wheel alignment, pressures and rotations I could have got more. With the same driving style the rears were illegal after just 10,000 along with sidewall bulging on one of the front tyres. Fantastic Grip Very very poor tire life.
Yokohama Advan Sport – I drive a Holden Commodore VT 1999 and I just brought the Yokohama Advan Sport and I want to say WOW. The control and smooth ride and the grib on the road is great.Thats in Wet & Dry. I highly recommend these tyers to anyone. Even the people that was putting on these tyers on the car said that these tyers are the best on the market. So if… Read more
you are thinking about these tyers. Dont think any more they are worth every cents. You will feel the difference and safe on the road. Grib on the Road, Smooth Ride, Going around bend excellent. You feel safe on the road.
Excellent – Better than any other road spec tyre I have used in both wet and dry conditions. Price is very reasonable considering the performance. Great tyre, I am currently buying a third set, all 3 of my cars will now have V103's. No problems so far
Good – I have just purchased a brand new 370Z which come with the Advan Sport. The front rims have 225/50/18 Advan Sports and the rear rims have wider 245/45/18 Advan Sports. They look the business. even with the amount of botton end torque generated by the car the rear tyres grip well when you put your foot down and without traction control kicking in.… Read more
Sidewall integrity is good. waiting to see how long they last and how much they'll cost to replace. A perfect balance between grip and wear. Good mid range compound hardness. Quite at any given speeds. Responds well in the wet. Waiting to see how long the last. Hate to know what they cost to replace.
Good – so far very happy, but I'll know how good they are after winter has passed!I'll try to remember to give a follow up review in a few thousand k's or so. For the price, they are good. Michelin' Bridgestone and Continental were just a bit too dear....$800 plus per tire!! And the Pirelli's (pzero) I looked at were supposed to be shocking with tire… Read more
life, but the same cost as the yokys. good grip, quiet...more so than the Bridgestone 245/35R20 050A that were std. wet traction better than std. steering response seems better even with the softer sidewalls!even under braking. abs seems less inclined to jump in, even with my brake upgrade. I'm still to give them a good thrashing, so I'll wait till then for a final verdict. (changed fronts only ATM) nothing so far, will like to see how tread life goes.
Excellent – Excellent. I have run with Michelin PS2's - a great tyre but VERY expensive, Pirelli Zero's - which were worn out in 15K's, the V103 have now done 25K's with probably another 5K's left in them. Quiet and comfortable with good grip in both wet and dry. Great high speed handling, cornering and stopping. Very few negatives.

OK – I would recommend this tyre to anyone wanting a sticky steering feel and grip especially in places where it does not rain much. It is very competitively priced. Grip is pretty impressive but on dry situation only. Sticky feeling is great. This is not exactly quiet as a Continental Sport C2. Could be smoother like the Michelin Pilot Sport 2. Not… Read more
quite surefooted when it is raining. It feels skiddish sometimes. Wet cornering simply as good as Pilot Sport 2 or Goodyear F1 GD3!
OK – If you really want the best value performance tire right now (February 2008), there is only one tire: Sumitomo HTR Z III ! Right now, the Yokohama Advan v103 comes close but for similar performance and luxuriously quieter, the new Sumitomo tops 'em all. Very Good value for asking price mate! Not quite as good as Michelin Pilot Sport 2!
Excellent – Fantastic tyre for high powered machines, grip level ultra high, as yet i haven;t found the edge or the point where it becomes dangerous. Beats RE050A hands down. Great grip level that gives linear feel to steering.Wet performance is fantastic and saved me on a few occasions.Tyre gets better the harder you push them. nothing here to write about great tyre
Excellent – I am very satisfied with the V103. It makes my RX8 very stable and gives the "car on tracks" feeling in corners, much better than the previous Bridgestone RE040. Moreover, it provides great grip level even at slipery roads. Ideal for FR cars.. Perfect grip, tyres are warmed up very easily even at cold conditions and also very good in wet tarmac. Nothing negative for me so far..
Excellent – My old Bridgestone 050 has served me over a year now. The grip was fantastic and it seem terrific around the corners. But after being convinced by the tyre manager about this new offering from Yokohama as well as showing a set on his personal BMW 530, I took my chances. No Regrets! It is so much quieter and comfortable than my 050 and my… Read more
ex-previous Pilot Precedas. Wonderful grip and feel. Better than my old Bridgestone 050. Could be better in the wet! But it is already pretty good anyhow.
