Great alternative to a pram – I bought this stroller as I needed a smaller pram to take on the plane with me for travel. I have never used an umbrella style stroller before and I found this one to be extremely easy, light and a dream to push on pavement and shops of course. My 10mth baby loved it too, so much so that she happily went to sleep whilst I walked around outside on… Read more
the footpaths.
With multi recline positions it's easy to adjust your child whilst in the pram. It now has a nice soft lining for your baby to sit on rather than the shiny polyester, comes with a foot muff, huge canopy for a stroller and shoulder straps for comfort. The bump bar can be removed or left on the pram which was great for a toy hanger. You also get a basket under that hold up to 3kg but you can't access it if your child is fully reclined. Unfortunately it does not have a storm or insect cover. Generic ones fit though.
I was pleasantly surprised at the ease I could push my baby. I managed to squeeze it into the bebe care travel bag and still have room for other items around it. It is a little on the wide side by a couple of centimetres when collapsed.
This stroller also takes a utility capsule which is what makes this a great all rounder. I'm very happy with this stroller as it felt a bit more solid compared to a few others I looked at. easy to collapse and store. Has a shoulder strap and handle for carrying. Easy to push and comfortable for your child as seat is roomy. It was wide when collapsed so it was hard to find a travel bag to fit.
Baby slips when seated... Ends up supported by crotch strap – This is second one I have owned. Bought first one new in 2005. 2nd one (latest model feb 2011). Loved the old model so much that I Thought I'd shout myself new fresh one for new baby as I loved old one. Not happy with this one. My main dislike is that the seat does slope backward which means my baby continuously slips forward, with pressure from… Read more
crotch strap. I am constantly stopping to sit her upright as her spine does not look comfortable. The older one never did this. I hardly even needed to use shoulder straps as with foot rest up, she had plenty of sitting area compared to other strollers. This has been a problem from 6 months, and still irritating now while she is 14 months.
Phoned Britax with my complaint, they were not interested. Sent it back to them via baby bunting. Still not interested. Bad customer service. Especially as I purchased stroller in good faith assuming it was same as older model but new and improved! Not!
Also the pale trimming looks great with black in shop. But pale trimming right where baby puts her sticky fingers. So looked very grotty fast! Hard to clean. Liked that it reclined back almost flat. Great for sleeping baby. Baby slips forward every trip, annoying, uncomfortable. Not very helpful customer service (from Britax).
Good – Great value stroller for the price. We originally wanted a Mclaren, but found the price really prohibitive. This is a great alternative and has some really good features. We purchased this stroller to use on our Qld holiday and it was perfect. It is lightweight and folds down really easily. My 9mth son is really comfortable in it and sleeps… Read more
really well. Its easy to manouver and the zip in pocket at the back is a fantastic feature. This pocket can fit quite a number of things and is easily unzipped so that you can fold the stroller up out of the way yet keep all your things with you - perfect for getting on the plane. I have found the basket to be big enough for loads of items too (my other pusher has the smallest basket every - so it depends on what you are used to). The foot muff is also great - keeps the wind off in the colder weather. Need two hands to recline the seat and the mechanism is sometimes sticky. I havent tested many other strollers, but believe this is a common issue.

Perfect pram! – i brought this pram when my daughter was 3months as we went on a big holiday (2days drive) to sea world, wet n wild and movie world and needed something small for her to sit in but also have a big under carrier and also was small enough to fit in the back of the car with all the other luggage. after this holiday we fell inlove with it, we ended up… Read more
selling our other pram and sticking with this one, we used it every single day from age 3months till she was just under 4yrs. i wouldnt recommend buying anything else! we only sold it due to her being a "big girl" and no longer wanting to sit in the pram but if i ever do have another baby i would definitely re-purchase this pram no questions asked! very reliable, easy to push especially on rough surfaces such as the dirt road and gravel, brakes work perfect even after 3yrs, easy to clean, big carrier under the seat which holds heavy stuff.
Love this pram – We looked at a lot of different prams and strollers prior to the birth of our newborn and found this to be a great option based on weight and durability. Plus the full layback position makes it appropriate for a newborn. We looked at the Choice report and this pram was rated among the highest for durability and safety, outrating some of the much… Read more
more expensive prams. I haven't had problems with the steering. However, my husband is quite tall and finds that the pram would be easier to push if the handles were longer. Like any stroller, don't expect heaps of storage, but it is adequate for the size of the stroller. Both buckles broke off within a week of eachother, but I booked it in for repair at Britax and these were replaces with stronger buckles (stronger plastic) while I waited. Compact size for going out and for the car, full layback position for newborn, easy to fold and unfold, easy to push, cheap. Don't expect a lot of storage space.
I've loved this pram – This pram has been great for me and my newborn. I've no issues with steering and have found it lightweight and easy to push across any surface. It is easy to put up and down and fits in the boot of our small car. Brakes work without any issues and it has 3 positions for baby to sit in. Anyone who has pushed the pram for us had commented on what a… Read more
good pram it is. Lightweight, easy to steer, reasonable price, handy back pocket. the basket underneath is hard to reach and you can't really store anything in it.
Negative reviews
Not the best – We bought this because steelcraft strollers have a good reputation. We needed a stroller since we only have a sedan and the pram is too big to fit in the boot with any food shopping trip. Doesn't steer too well on some surfaces which is a huge annoyance, but it depends on the surface I guess, on pavement it's fine, but glossy concrete or tiles… Read more
in shops it's terrible. Seems to be a wheel castor issue.
For everything else it's OK. Light Like others said, steering is a problem. Front wheels don't seem to straighten up. After turning, sometimes the wheels just point in odd directions and skid rather than castor around and straighten up.
Steel craft profile stroller – I find this stroller to be very difficult to push as the steering is terrible and you definitely cannot push it with only one hand. The brakes are clear and easy to use and stroller folds down quite easily and compactly. To lay seat back involves two hands at least and can be a little difficult but sitting it back up is simple. Has a zipper… Read more
compartment on back which is handy and has easy to use sunhood which could be a little bigger. Seat not very cosy for newborn but does lie flat Seat lays flat and folds compact It's difficult to steer
Steelcraft Profile Stroller – Purchased as we had the safe n sound unity carrier. Found the pram to be challenging to push at times with steering being a bit of a pain. Great that it had a rain cover which alot of strollers dont have. Large basket at the base of the pram for a good storage and pocket at the back of the stroller to store items. There are a great amount of storage for a smaller lightweight stroller Difficult to steer at times

Great stoller, and great room saver – I loved this stroller for my newborn. And chose it because I had a two door hatch, but it was a blessing to be fit through shop doors and the like. Once my son hit 2 he insisted on siting on the edge of his seat and with the weight switch it became very hard to push
Great value for money and Bub loves it – Love this pram. We have a big bulky jogger pram and Bub seems to hate it. Bought this pram for travel only, she loves it. It's the only one we use now. Easy to get in an out of the car, nice and narrow so is great to manoeuvre I night spaces. Not something you would want to use for long energetic walks, but as an everyday pram it's brilliant.
Great value, good for small car – Great product for its price. I bought this one as the other steelcraft pram I have is great but I can't get anything else in the boot when I have it. The profile fits great in my hatch back and is so easy to fold down. Steering on front wheels can be a bit stiff at times but you learn how to avoid this. Used it from one month Old. Does lack storage but that's what you get with a compact pram.
Pretty good for newborn to older child – This stroller is great, easy to put up and down, sturdy and stylish. Basket is hard to access and basically unusable however there is a zipper pocket at the back of the stroller to store items like wallets, wipes etc. Sunshade is ok, could be a little bigger and the plastic latches that keep the sunshade down seem a little flimsy. Overall this is… Read more
pretty good considering the price especially as it can be used from birth up until an older child Price, compactness, ease of folding and putting in car Hard to access basket (as with most strollers)

Drives me nuts but cheap! – We got ours second hand so it may have had a hard life. The steering is terrible, the wheels are really hard to get over mats/in doorways, and the sunshade flaps keep coming undone. We got it to go with a capsule so only planned to use it for 6 months. Definitely couldn't stand it for long term use. Lightweight, cheap Terrible steering, rusting, movable parts keep catching, sunshade flaps come undone
Not suitable for newborns - would be great for toddler – I bought this pram because it was small and lightweight and I knew that I wouldn't use it much as I live in a small town and I can easily carry my daughter. It is NOT suitable from birth as the website suggests as the shoulder straps and the bottom strap do not adjust tight enough. My daughter is 4.5 months old and weighs approx. 8.5kg and… Read more
still slips when she is in the stroller.
The layback function is fantastic, but you can't access the basket in that position.
The double handle makes it near impossible to push with one hand.
It only weighs 7.5kg, so is easy to lift in and out of the car and it is easy to fold down and put up.
I would recommend this for a toddler, but not a newborn. Peek window, removal back bag for air circulation, 3 stage layback, easy to fold, light weight, skinny pram, cheap Doesn't fit newborn, difficult to latch closed, basket difficult to access, can't push one handed.
Sensational Stroller !! and Excellent travel system !! – I love this stroller, one of the very few strollers that is compatible with a baby capsule. Comes in a lovely colours. Is so easy to use, is not bulky at the shops. Very user friendly travel system, is not expensive. Is great to hang bags over the handles. Baby can lie flat in it or sit up. Super quick to fold up and takes no room in the boot !… Read more
Sensational travel system compatible with capsule, then excellent on its own after bubs is 6 months old. Compact, well priced, and very stylish! Does not come with a rain cover
Great as a travel stroller – We purchased this to use when we are on holidays. It has been a great little stroller. The reason we purchased this was because it can be used from newborn plus (we used it for a 3 month old). If I was to use it as an everyday stroller I would upgrade to a more expensive one but it has been great for our needs. Very compact, easy to use, has… Read more
canopy for extra shade, fully reclines, easy to fold up Storage compartment can be small and hard to get to when stroller is fully flat. Need two hands to steer
It is well worth it – This stroller has been great and used for two kids, it is lightweight, seat lays back and handy. A very good option for the stroller was using the car seat capsule attachment for when the baby is very young. You can transfer the baby while sleep with ease. I would recommend it for someone looking to purchase a stroller. Lightweight, good brand.… Read more
You can also purchase a car capsule for this stroller that is another handy interchangeable item. Sunshade does not provide a great deal of cover. It would be nice if it was bigger.
There's better options than this – We weren't happy with this pram and ended up having to buy another one because it was so exhausting using it. The steering is poor and two hands are needed to turn corners or change direction. This made it heavy work pushing my boy. He also kept slipping to one side and don't seem to be comfortable in this stroller. Wouldn't recommend this one. Reasonable price, lightweight, easy enough to fold Requires two hands to push
Great purchase – We brought this as our everyday stroller!, and love it! We find it easy to fold( took a while to get used to), steers well, fits comfortably in our Astra! Have been using it for 2 yrs now, and still very happy with it! Quality for price! My biggest complaint is the light colour on the side! Where child puts hands, therefore hard to keep clean! Basket at bottom not easy to assess , especially in recline position!
Not perfect – Great overall stroller but hard to push with 1 hand and found little one was always slipping to the side and could not get comfortable. Size Not being able to push 1 handed
Does the job – We bought this stroller when our daughter was 9 months old as we wanted something more compact than our Bertini pram. Was great that she could sleep pretty much flat on her back. I loved the fact that you can use it from newborn, which we did for when our Son was born and put the boot cover over so that he would be warm in the winter months. Only… Read more
problem was when in the fully reclined position you could not access the basket without having to lift the back of the stroller to put something in. I love going for walks with it but find it difficult to steer due to the separate handles. Overall it is a good stroller. Great for newborns. Inexpensive. Boot/foot cover. Fully reclined position. Easy to put in car. Lightweight. Hard to steer with one hand. Hard to access basket in fully reclined position.

Good – Fantastic, and really good value for money. I got mine for $169 at Baby Expo and we just took it to Qld for a holiday. We walked a couple of hours each day with it and it handled very well. Easy to manouver, light, hard wearing, looks good. Can't access tray when recliner is all the way down, but that's the way with most strollers anyway.
it serves a purpose – i quite like this stroller as it serves a purpose, i mean my daughter sleeps and sits well in it. with reasonable price, it's got a good quality. it's easy to push, descent weight, but it's a bit complicated to fold, probably because my husband usually does that for me most of the time. it's inexpensive, easy to push, lightweighted, fits in small… Read more
boot (i got holden barina) a bit hard to fold, the brakes are on the two back wheels, so i have to lock them both to stop the stroller from moving, basket is a bit hard to access esp when the seat is fully reclined
Excellent – Love this stroller. We bought it originally as a low-price option to start with, thinking we would end up buying something better when we knew what features we wanted. But we've ended up sticking with this stroller, its absolutely fine for everything we want to do. If you want a trendy stroller this probably isn't for you, its very basic and plain… Read more
and it does exactly what its supposed to do. Low price, light-weight, works as travel system with Safe n Sound Unity capsule so you can transfer bub from car withouit disturbing them. Great basic stroller that does everything its supposed to do. Seat doesn't lie completely flat and can't adjust harness small enough for very young baby (crotch and shoulder straps only have one position), but not really an issue if you use it as a travel system. Can't access basket with seat layed flat. Not suitable for rough ground or jogging.
Good for what it is! – I bought this stroller to use on holidays as I didn't want to take our large heavy pram and my son was still too young for one of the more compact strollers, and we still needed a reclining seat. It did the job we needed it to do, but it is not something that I would choose as our primary stroller for use at home because I prefer more modern… Read more
contemporary styling. Light enough for travelling, reclines for younger babies, accommodates the Unity Capsule. Not as compact as I would like.
OK – Safe n Sound capsule is a great carseat for baby and as the Steelcraft Profile is the only compatible pram, there really isn't any choice for us but to get this as our second pram to use for trips to malls. The fact that it's cheap and light & compact made it a good purchase. Basically this pram is great for going to places where the floor/road… Read more
is very even so it's ideal for going to shops or malls but not great for going to park (not good on grass) or for long walks (we have a 3 wheeler Mountain Buggy for this). Very easy to fold, light & compact, great for using with compatible Safe n Sound capsule to easily transfer baby from car to pram. Ideal for walking around shopping centres. Very low price ($180) Right front wheel basically stopped working the second time we used it so you just need to drag or jerk it to turn 90 degrees which doesn't make it comfortable for baby not to mention wakes them up. The latch to hold it closed also fell off straight away & we've never managed to find it but we make do by just carrying it a certain way to keep it from opening up when loading it into the car.
Good – Great pram. Bought in mid 2007 and my 2 year old still uses it. Have had no problems with it apart from the steering which is hard when baby gets heavier. Currently hiring the unity capsule for my second baby to go with the pram and that is great. Still having a bit of trouble steering with one hand though. Easy to fold up and fits in the boot… Read more
of car nicely. Lightweight. Once baby gets heavier, it's a bit hard to move - You will definitely need two hands to push.
Ok for the price, but hard to manoeuvre – This stoller is ok for the price, I bought this for my mums house and thought it had a lot of good features, but in comparison to my Maclaren Quest Mod it is very hard to manoeuvre, however it is about half the price of the Maclaren. Good features including a full layback for bubs. Cheap as long as not using for long walks Hard to manoeuvre.
OK – We bought this because of it's small size to fit in the boot of our lancer, which it does well. No huge issues but if I was to choose again I would not pick this one. Compact size when folded. Light weight. can not be steered with one hand. No more fictional then the cheaper ones you could buy at target. Hard to use the lock that holds the pram folded. Can't access basket when fully reclined. Difficult to steer
Excellent – I love this pram it has everything i wanted and my baby is comfortable and safe all at a bargain price. So light and compact when folded so doesnt take up much boot space and it would be great for travelling on public transport, it has a carry handle on the side which makes it easy to carry when folded, it has a large window on the hood to check… Read more
on baby it also has a large zippered pocket on the back which is great to put wallet keys phone etc. the only thing i found is that u cant access the basket when the stroller is fully reclined.
Excellent – After months of research this stroller stood out for three reasons. One, it is designed to carry the capsule, which allowed me to transfer my baby quickly and easily (from birth to six months and counting!) from the car to the pram without disturbing her if she was asleep. I watched other mums struggle to get baby in the car seat, fold up the… Read more
pram and get in the car, while I was in and driving away! Also because it is designed to go together, you know that it is safely locked into the pram, I've also seen people put capsules in prams that are not designed to carry them and I wonder why you would risk the capsule coming out on the escalators?
Two, it is extremely light and easy to push, and with the front swivel wheels you can easily get around shop fixtures and through every checkout so far. I've been on hour long walks and kept up with friends in 3 wheel joggers.
Three, fits in the back of the car (subaru station wagon) with all the weekly shopping thanks to the umbrella fold.
Overall, this has been an excellent pram, especially for the price. It has had some much use, unlike the 3 wheel which I spent $700 on!!! My mum and mother-in-law have both bought one since using mine. I'm dreading the day when my daughter is too big for the capsule, but will continue to use the stroller by itself. SAFELY carries safe n sound unity capsule, lightweight but sturdy, folds easily and compactly and easy to manuover, especially through shops nothing at all
Excellent – OMG I love this stroller. We tried a few before deciding on this one. Also have the Unity and it is a lifesaver. Our little one loves to go for walks in it and being able to transfer from car to stroller is a godsend. Can't rate it highly enough. Would love it even more if I could use the basket underneath ;) Everyone who has taken bub for a walk… Read more
in it raves about how easy it is to use! easy to fold up (once you get the hang of it). doesn't take up much space. Light (I'm only small so this is a big plus). easy to push. love the pocket at the back of the sunshade. the basket isn't easily accessable.
Excellent – The layback feature is gold when the little one wants to sleep, and you don't get this in many stollers at all! It's survived quite a few plane trips, local and abroad, and the baggage handlers haven't managed to break it yet, so that says something about the quality. All in all, for the price this is great value for money. Good design,… Read more
light-weight, colour does not dirty too easily, folds up easily (once you get the hang of it). Good quality materials. Bit of a bumpy ride on anything other than smooth surfaces. Sun shade doesn't cover as much as you would like it to.
Excellent – Being the Librian I am - decison makings not my best attribute - I spent a lot of time researching and testing the most suitable stroller for our first child and this was by far the best!! * We love this stroller for its lightweight aluminum frame (7.5kgs), its ease of putting up and put down, its wonderful steering and turning, the easy movement… Read more
of the 5 position backrest, the 5 point harness, the front bumper, the boot cover, the 8 hard plastic like wheels.
* I hang my lighweight nappy bag over the two handles (this would be a bit of problem if your nappy bag was heavy as it might tip the stroller?)
* We receive positive comments from friends and family who use the stroller on how easy it is.
* We also have a big pram (I purchased years ago) which I use to walk around the area where we live (only as it has height adjustable handles - easier on the back, arms and legs walking up and down hills) - I so prefer the Profile Umbrella Layback Stroller for my everyday use! We love this stroller...
* It easily fits into the boot of the car with the golf clubs and all the other necessary items!
* Its lightweight aluminum frame (7.5kgs) is wonderful getting into and out of the car (especially when having to lift on top of other items - like the golf clubs!)
* Easy to put up and put down.
* Very easy to steer - can do a 360 on the spot - Wonderful entering those shops with very thin aisles and changerooms!
* The backrest has an easy movement to lift and layback.
* 5 point harness to secure baby in.
* I love having the front bumper - with our newborn we tucked the adjustable legrest up into the pram which gave me total peace of mind that she was secure and warm in there!
* Boot cover was very handy on those windy/wet days!
* 8 hard plastic like wheels didn't pick up all those bindys and burrs which I pick up on the other rubber pram wheels and trapes thru the home!
* Seperate handles allowed me to hang light items of shopping on them. 1. The model I have (I think its a little older than the picture stated as ours is light grey, dark grey and black) the backrest does not lay flat - I used this stroller for my newborn and found she was slightly sitting up even in the lowest position.
2. The basket underneath is very small - if the backrest is in the lowest position you need to move it to the upright position to get anything in it or out of it (which wasn't too good with a newborn). It was handy though to store a light throw cloth (to hang over baby's face when sun was in her eyes) cause you could poke it in the side of the basket and retrieve it when you needed too!
3. The handles were a fixed height - a little too short for me and my husband. Until we were use to pushing the pram we kicked the frame on most strides.
4. Sunvisor was very small - doesn't do a lot of protecting - more for resting the blanket on! But it is removable by a zipper if you find it gets in the way.
