Terrible – Used unit both in Europe and Australia. Generaly happy with operation once it gets going. Navman support is terrible. Can't get map updates. For a top of the line GPS that costs $1200+ to be unsupported by the manufacturer after only a short time is totally unacceptable. This is the last Navman product I'll ever buy. I'm glad they don't sell cars! Unit works well once its acquired satellite lock
Great audio and robust construction Very slow in satellite aquisition. If you try and switch it on while mobile it
can take up to 10 minutes or more to start working. IR Remote contol is next to useless. Clunky user interface
Excellent – I would like to see the "Information Centres" in cities and towns added to POI As a grey nomad continually on the road this information would be most helpful as this is usually my first port of call when I arrive in the town or city. Having just returned from Tasmania after eight months away from Queensland the most difficult part of the trip was trying to find the "Information Centre" to see what the town or city had to offer. Some places the "I" sign was not always readily visible, an address in the Navman would have been so much more helpful especially when one is travelling alone and does not have a navigator (person) to keep an eye out for the "I" sign. ease of use and the availability of updating the maps as required Does not always stay on the windscreen otherwise very good
Terrible – Sorry for looking at this product. Want my money back, the whole $1500 dollars, plus the $150 dollars insurance. Very unhappy with NAVMAN. Nothing i can say for the performance of this unit. Takes ages to connect to setalite. Sometimes i am half way to my destination before kicks in. Payed top money for it from Dick Smith. Far too expensive. Upgrade is to expensive. Travel in the city of Sydney takes me everywhere but my destinations. I want my $1500 dollars back.I was hoodwinked by this rubbish. At the time of buying it the software was outdated. The first unit i got have a breakdown in half hour of use. After taking it back, got this second unit, which works 45% of the time.
Terrible – Expensive and nearly useless. We bought it to help us on caravan holidays, but found it would always , at some stage, give us wrong directions. It did things like telling us to drive down a river (there was no road), or to turn off major highways down meaningless side roads. We took it back 3 times, and in the end after two letters we got our money back easy to read screen. Kept giving us ridiculous directions
