Machine is overpriced junk, do not buy – Makes great coffee, but leaks everywhere after less than 6 months. Machine is "factory refurbished" which according to the sticker was done at Corrective Service Industries Long Bay Jail. I paid $500 with a 3 month warranty, luckily mine ran for double the warranty period, unlike some others, ha ha ha. Does make great coffee, I don't use the… Read more

Warning Do Not Buy – This coffee machine was a 30th birthday gift from my wife. Due to its brand and high price we thought that we were getting a quality product that would last for many years justifying the investment. How wrong we were. Besides the fact that the machine is extremely noisy, requires regular expensive maintenance and produces luke warm coffee that… Read more

requires microwaving, the most disappointing aspect was the zero care factor from the company when these issues were highlighted. I wrote on two occasions to the customer service team to seek a resolution to my issues and did not even get the satisfaction of a response.

We have now purchased a Nespresso unit for a quarter of the cost of this unit and are very very happy with the product and service. Do not purchase a Krupps under any circumstances.

Expensive, Bad warranty service, Bad customer service, Poor Product in General, Noisy

I had the same experience with it! Couldn´t agree more. It makes good espressos, however it breaks too often.

Great idea but poorly executed – Water leakage an annual event (the latest being 12 months to the day since the last repair!. Each time, a new water distributer is required - cost $300. Also, after 12 months, knob went into free spin, and had to be replaced - cost $70. This machine lacks robustness and durability. Brisbane repair agent (Sparkys)would not win any customer… Read more

Do not buy this product! Warning! – Makes a very good espresso coffee, but the milk frother is totally useless. The product was nothing but trouble after the first 3-4 months. Fortunately we purchased it at David Jones ($1200.00), who were very kind and replaced the unit 2 times in 12 months. DJ's staff stated that they had never had any issues with these machines (standard line),… Read more

but were quite happy to provide us with a brand new replacement on the spot.

Since the warranty expired (on our 3rd replacement machine), we have had it repaired several times, spending over $600 over a couple of years.

The local coffee repair guy has now told us that the computer is stuffed, and it may cost up to $700 to replace, we have had enough with this piece of Krup!

I am never buying this brand again, they should be ashamed of themselves. I admit, I should have done more research before buying a machine, I would have learned not to buy this overpriced rubbish brand.

Interestingly the repair guy told me he would never recommend any customers to by Krups (for his years of experience).

I was totally sucked in by the name-brand, and assumed for the price I would be getting some degree of quality. How wrong was I.

DO NOT BUY KRUPS COFFEE MACHINES, take this as an honest, sincere warning. Makes a good espresso (when working) Totally unreliable, broke down constantly, leaks, takes forever for clean cycle, frother is useless and nozzle pops off when in the milk container, always needs repairs. I have been through 3 machines to now this is no accident, there is a design and/or manufacturing fault. DO NOT BUY!!!

Terrible – Makes a good coffe until it breaks. The machine doesn't function well puting the old coffe in the recipient,if you open the machine you will find coffe over all the interior of the machine. Terrible – Not nearly strong enough internally to cope with the 3-6 cups of coffee we have per day (between 2). Using a medium grind (no. 2), we have a mixture of 2 strong espressos, plus a longer draw of coffee to make our '2 cups'. If we do this twice a day, that adds up to 6 cups of coffee. Coffee tastes great but the machine is not reliable. Won't buy… Read more

Krups again. After a few tries, makes excellent coffee. Automatic grinding a plus - 3 grinds available. Easy to clean, good instructions. Very easy to use and coffee nozzles have a variable height - will take mugs. Steam nozzle useless - kept popping off into the milk (I now use a Magic Bullet-type blender to whiz the milk and then microwave for about 36 seconds on high). Machine 'forgets' where it's up to if the coffee drawer (for used grounds) needs emptying while in the middle of a '2-cup' run. After a few months, machine leaked badly. Good Guys cheerfully replaced (no service centre in our regional area) twice. On the 3rd try we upgraded to the XP7240 digital model. That one lasted less than 3 months. This time it tripped our power fuses 4 times before we realised it was the coffee machine that was faulty.

Terrible – Great coffee.. when it works. It's been in for repair longer than it was in service.. I would counsel against buying this machine. Great tasting coffee It's been in the repair shop longer than we were able to use it. Technician could not repair it so it was then sent back to Krups.. We still do not have it back.

larger cup of coffee. Same issue. Water pouring out of the bottom of the unit. We asked the dealer what is causing the problem, they do not know and they indicate no one has ever had this this complaint. Yet looking at this website, several others have had the same problem. Would not recommend. Easy to use, makes a great espresso Seems to need cleaning too often as compared to the Jura we have in The States.

Bad – I do not think that this machine has been put together very well and I could not honestly recommend it to anybody. Terrible – Very disappointed after our previous Krups that made the best coffee and frothed milk well. This is an oversized, noisy and relatively useless machine. We thought something was missing from the frother but now… Read more

after reading previous postings we now realize that it is normal. Would not recommend this coffee machine to anyone. Our last Krups machine has lasted for 12 years (only cap has broken but is still working fantastic) so was happy to buy another Krups. Everything. The coffeee comes out watery. The milk frother nozzle blows off into the milk and makes a big mess. Very noisy for an expesnsive machine. We have only had for one day and don't like it already. Will take back for refund as shouldn't be selling as milk frother is dangerous.

Terrible – I purchased this machine after a lengthy, and satisfactory, experience with a manual Krups coffee maker and the long held opinion that Krup products are quality. This lasted 7 months before it also proved faulty and was repaired at my expense and many weeks deprived of its use. It was later returned to Service for repair at their expense. Now unserviceable again...... to the dump or another expensive repair after a lengthy period without it?

Terrible – I will never buy anything Krups again. This device is a total POS. Krups should be ashamed to be selling such an unreliable product at such a high price point. Compact size Very unreliable. Mine has broken down on numerous occasions and been repaired. I even had to have Krups replace machine and that one needed a new motherboard. Now the steam won't work and it will have to be repaired again. Warranty has expired. Piece of junk.

Terrible – We cannot recommend KRUPS products. There are less expensive alternatives and KRUPS were unsympathtic as were were just out of warranty. point we used it sevral times a day without issue other than it thinking it needed emptying when it didn't. Bing Lee was the retailer and they were great at helping us with a replacement. We paid $AUD 1,000 and expected a top end appliance that would last for years. Water filters are expensive too. KRUPS were not interested in replacing it but said they would repair it. Bing Lee retailer said they would give us a replacement but not from KRUPS as they no longer stock the product.

I would never buy it again – I bought this coffee machine 3 years ago, luckily with extended warranty. It has been for repair six times, everytime for 2 - 3 weeks. The problems were leaking water and coffee, and on/off switch not working (twice). Easy operation and if it works the coffee tasts good. Had to be repaired six times. Water was leaking 4 times, coffee leaking once, on/off switch twice. Repair centre is in Sydney so the machine is away for 2 - 3 weeks.

Excellent – Great machine. Why pay full price for a cup of cafe quality coffee when you can get the same at home. My latte was costing me $3 a cup at work so $15 per week minimum. Delongi I was looking at and is smaller so it fits well in my small kitchen. Comes with cleaning tablets, descaler and a water filter - never used them, but if they run out it'll cost money to buy. I don't think they are cheap.

OK – Just bought my second machine after the first one lasted less than two years; started to have problems at 13 months and out of warranty. the end of the day, believe all automated machines will have problems and I do not want to deal with adding and removing coffee for each cup so went with the same machine again. Will ABSOLUTELY wash and dry the tray which goes above the coffee waste bin each time prompted to keep this as clean as possible and not add to the internal build up.

Would not have paid full price this time though but got one for $396 at Seconds World and am very happy - hope this one will last another 2 years ... scores 3 stars at the discounted price! Great coffee; not having to add coffee or deal with the waste coffee after each cup. Price for the lifespan.

Excellent – Love it - best purchase I have ever made for a coffee machine. Coffees great and the steam is awesome for frothing. I just wanted something that'll make my daily coffee fix in less than a minute and this does it perfectly. Excellent – Best purchase ever made, actually it was a refurbished item from ebay but hey, I'm not paying full price for it and have saved hundreds $$$$. Highly recommended - it's quick, coffee taste less bitter compared to my old $300 Breville and I don't need to grind my own coffee anymore. It has it's own inbuilt grinder Fully automatic and coffee tastes better than my $300 Breville machine. Also no need to grind your own coffee.
