After nearly 2 years and near the end of warranty, my experience with my Jura S8 coffee machine is no better. The replacement machine stopped working… Read more

after 5 months because there was no response from the touch screen so the machine was inoperable. Jura authorised a repair at the local service agent. I collected the machine after 3 weeks but it still did not work at all. It had the same non-responsive touch screen.

I returned the machine to the repairer, and it was again returned to me having had the screen module replaced. It then worked.

Then after 12 months new fault developed. The machine failed to deliver the first and/or second coffee. The milk was delivered correctly and the pump then started in order to pour the coffee, but no coffee was delivered apart from a few drops. Then, the machine paused and the message "The Machine is Filling" appeared. The machine then again attempted to deliver coffee and failed. The machine then either reverted to the home screen or froze. Coffee could not be delivered at all.

Jura's solution was for me to remove the grounds tray, put my hand inside the machine and search for a round disc up right inside the machine, and then use a cloth to clean this disc. You can barely get your hand inside the machine and touch the disc, let alone clean it. There is also a risk of damaging the machine because the disc is almost impossible to reach. After persevering and cleaning, the machine poured coffee again. What will fail next?

If difficult internal cleaning is required after the initial 12 months of careful use, then it appears to be a major design or manufacturing failure. I use only top quality beans and clean the machine according to the instructions. The coffee quantity is still inconsistent every day. Sometimes under poured, sometimes overpoured. Plus, the machine never stops pouring coffee cleanly and always runs on for several seconds after the coffee is delivered, squirting, dribbling and dripping.

The cleaning regime is onerous and expensive. Cleaning the milk system does NOT clean the milk frother which must be completely disassembled and cleaned by hand.

This machine is by far the worst of the 5 coffee machines I have owned. I am completely dissatisfied with this machine. If my machine is a lemon, then it should have been be replaced before now. If these faults are common, then this machine should be withdrawn and redesigned. If this is typical of Jura machines, then I would strongly recommend against buying any Jura machine.

Update. I contacted Jura in response to their comment. Despite some previous product issues, I have found that Jura Customer Services take customers' comments seriously and always responds positively. Jura has made a generous offer to replace my machine, which they did not have to do. In response to my comments, they have also offered a higher specification machine, again, something they did not have to do. I cannot fault Jura's customer service and look forward to a great coffee experience in the future. There are very few companies that address customer feedback, customer service and customer satisfaction to this level. I am greatly appreciative of their efforts.

only set 1. That’s not Jura’s fault, but that would be awesome.

I’d had the unit about 3 days when I encountered this issue; it would not process the steamed milk, it would just blow hot air, I pulled it apart to clean it (as recommended), that’s when I found an internal part had separated, it’s called the distributor.

Jura were good, although they did question my cleaning schedule, I clean it every day around the same time, so that wasn’t the issue. They supplied me with a new part and I’ve had no issue since. This is a single cup machine which is fine, but when I’m making a few cups, if I get distracted or I’m too long to get back to the machine, it will do a rinse and put rinse water in my cup. Jura cleaning products are on the expensive side and it says use Jura products only.

reasonable amount of coffee and especially like a variety of coffee options, this is worth every cent. It simple to use, with easy step instructions on the touch screen. There are choices of so many different coffee options, both black and milk ones. It has a milk container that you just keep in the fridge and attach easily for flat while, latte, cappuccino and more. It also does hot water for tea drinkers. There are 4 temperature settings so caters for those who don't like their coffee too hot up to those that want to scald their tastebuds off. There is an app that gives many other options, but at the time of writing this, it's pretty terrible and doesn't work very well. I can see there's huge potential for the App, but I don't think DeJonghi care too much.

premium quality and support. While still under warranty, the touchscreen stopped working, so I sent it in for repair. After being without a coffee machine for two weeks, I received it back with the exact same issue unresolved, plus new scratches on the machine and the original box returned ripped apart. To make matters worse, I’m now being asked to send the machine in again, meaning even more time without a product I paid a premium price for. At this price point, this level of service is unacceptable. Poor repair quality, careless handling, and no consideration for the customer experience. Brewing Bliss A Light-Hearted Love Letter to the Gaggia Cadorna Prestige – Your At-Home Barista Buddy Ah, coffee. That magical elixir that turns "I… Read more

can't even" into "I've got this!" on a Monday morning.

If you're anything like me, you've probably daydreamed about having a personal barista in your kitchen – someone who knows your order by heart, never judges your third latte of the day, and doesn't expect a tip. Well, folks, allow me to introduce you to the Gaggia Cadorna Prestige, a super-automatic espresso machine that's basically the Italian stallion of home coffee makers. It's not just a machine; it's a portal to café-quality bliss without leaving your pajamas.

In this review, I'll dive deep into why this beauty feels like the ultimate barista experience at home, all while keeping things light, fun, and fully informed. We'll chat about its Italian roots, the smorgasbord of 14 drinks, those handy user profiles, the integrated drawers for water and brewing, the removable brew group, the ceramic grinder, and a bunch of other features that make it shine. And yes, we'll tackle that price tag – it's on the higher side, but oh boy, is it justified when stacked against cheaper alternatives. Buckle up; this is going to be a caffeinated adventure.

Let's start with the heart of the matter: the Italian heritage that makes the Gaggia Cadorna Prestige feel like it's whispering sweet nothings in espresso. Gaggia isn't some fly-by-night brand; it's a legend born in the bustling streets of 1930s Milan. Picture this: Achille Gaggia, a passionate bar owner, is tinkering away in his café, frustrated with the watery, steam-driven coffees of the era. In 1938, he patents a revolutionary lever system that uses pressure instead of steam to extract espresso, birthing the crema naturale – that velvety foam layer we all adore today. It's like he invented the wheel, but for coffee. Fast-forward through decades of innovation, and Gaggia remains proudly Italian, with the Cadorna Prestige manufactured in Italy. This isn't just a stamp on the box; it's infused in every sip. The machine embodies "la dolce vita" – the sweet life – where coffee isn't rushed but savored. Owning one feels like having a piece of Italy in your kitchen, minus the Vespa traffic. It's that heritage that elevates it from a gadget to a cultural experience, making your home brews taste like they've been pulled by a Roman barista with a mustache and a twinkle in his eye.

Now, onto the design – because let's face it, if it's going to live on your countertop, it better look good doing it. The Gaggia Cadorna Prestige sports a sleek, anthracite finish (that's fancy for dark gray) with stainless steel accents that scream sophistication without being ostentatious. Measuring about 10.2 inches wide, 15 inches tall, and 17.3 inches deep, and weighing in at around 20.5 pounds, it's compact enough for most kitchens but sturdy like it means business. The front panel has a vibrant full-color TFT display flanked by backlit buttons – think of it as the machine's friendly face, always ready with a smile (or at least a clear menu). No fumbling with tiny screens here; everything is intuitive and eye-catching. The adjustable spout slides from 2.7 to 6.1 inches high, accommodating everything from dainty espresso cups to your favorite travel mug. And that sliding espresso tray? Genius – it pulls forward to catch crema perfectly without splatters. It's like the machine is saying, "I've got you, amico." The build uses high-quality ABS plastic with stainless steel parts, ensuring durability while keeping things lightweight. Sure, it's not all-metal like some ultra-premium models, but it feels premium and reliable, backed by Gaggia's decades of engineering prowess.

But enough about looks; let's talk performance, where the Cadorna Prestige truly flexes its barista muscles. At the core is the ceramic burr grinder – oh, what a gem! Ceramic grinders are quieter and more durable than steel ones, resisting heat buildup that can scorch beans and alter flavors. With 10 adjustable settings, you can fine-tune from coarse to fine, ensuring your grind matches your beans perfectly. Whether you're using dark roasts for a bold espresso or lighter ones for a nuanced lungo, it grinds fresh for each brew, locking in aromas like a vault. The 300-gram bean hopper (about 10.6 ounces) is generous for home use, and there's a bypass doser for pre-ground coffee if you're feeling experimental with decaf or a special blend. Paired with Gaggia's Optiaroma system, which lets you select from five aroma strengths (adjusting dose from about 6.5 to 11.5 grams), it's like having a dial for "how intense do you want your morning kick?" The pre-infusion feature gently wets the grounds before full pressure, extracting maximum flavor without bitterness – a nod to that original Gaggia patent.

The removable brew group is another star player, making maintenance a breeze rather than a chore. Unlike sealed units in some machines, this one pops out easily for rinsing under the tap. It's the heart of the brewing process, where water meets grounds at up to 15 bars of pressure to pull shots that rival any café. Clean it weekly, and it'll reward you with consistent, crema-topped perfection. Speaking of integration, the water tank and brew drawers are thoughtfully designed.

The 1.5-liter water reservoir slides out from the front – no awkward side access here – and includes space for an optional Intenza+ filter to soften water and enhance taste. The dreg drawer holds up to 10 spent pucks, and the drip tray is a spacious 18 ounces, meaning fewer trips to the sink. Everything feels seamless, like the machine anticipates your needs.

Add in the integrated milk carafe? Divine. This 0.6-liter detachable wonder auto-froths milk for creamy cappuccinos or lattes, then self-rinses to stay hygienic. Pop it in the fridge between uses – no waste, no mess. It's automatic magic that turns you into a latte artist without the steam wand wrestling.

Now, the pièce de résistance: those 14 different drinks at the touch of a button. This is where the Cadorna Prestige transforms your kitchen into a full-fledged coffee bar. From classics like ristretto (short and intense), espresso (the gold standard), lungo (longer pour), and americano (hot water added), to milk-based delights such as cappuccino, latte macchiato, flat white, café au lait, cortado, and even XL versions for when you need extra comfort. There's frothed milk for hot chocolates or teas, and hot water for americanos or infusions. No over-complicated menus; just select, customize if you fancy (adjust volume, strength, temperature in three levels, or milk froth), and voila – barista-level drinks in under a minute. The machine's Gaggia Adapting System learns from your brews, optimizing extraction for consistent results. It's like having a smart barista who remembers your preferences and nails them every time. For households with multiple coffee lovers, the four user profiles are a game-changer. Each profile saves customizations for every drink – so your spouse's strong cappuccino doesn't mess with your mild flat white. It's peace in a pod, preventing morning squabbles over settings.

Diving deeper into the user experience, the Cadorna Prestige is as easy to operate as it is fun. The full-color display guides you through setup, brewing, and maintenance with clear icons and text in multiple languages. Backlit buttons provide tactile feedback – no touchscreen smudges here. First-time setup involves filling the tank, loading beans, and a quick rinse cycle, and you're off. Daily use? Select your profile, pick a drink, and press go. The machine heats up quickly thanks to its thermoblock boiler, and energy-saving mode kicks in after inactivity. Temperature control is spot-on, with three levels to suit purists who want piping hot or those who prefer not scorching their tongues. Noise-wise, it's polite – the ceramic grinder hums rather than roars, and brewing is a gentle purr. For eco-conscious folks, it's efficient at 1400 watts and uses recyclable materials where possible.

Cleaning and maintenance? Gaggia makes it almost enjoyable. The auto-rinse on startup and shutdown keeps things fresh, and the milk carafe's quick-clean cycle blasts steam through after use. Descale alerts pop up based on water hardness (test strip included), and the automatic descale program handles it with minimal effort. The removable brew group, as mentioned, is key – rinse it weekly, lubricate monthly with the included grease, and it'll last years. Compared to machines with fixed groups, this saves time and prevents buildup. The dreg and drip trays empty easily, with indicators to remind you. It's low-maintenance luxury, letting you focus on enjoying coffee rather than babysitting the machine.

Of course, no review is complete without addressing the elephant in the room: the price. At around $1,500 (depending on retailers and sales – I've seen it dip to $1400 or climb to $1700), the Cadorna Prestige isn't cheap. It's a premium investment, but let's unpack why it's worth every penny, especially when compared to similar yet cheaper options. First, consider the build and features: That Italian-made quality, ceramic grinder, removable brew group, and integrated carafe aren't standard in budget models. Take the De'Longhi Magnifica Evo, often around $600-$700 – it's solid for basics but offers fewer drinks (maybe 7-10), no user profiles, a steel grinder (noisier, heats up more), and a manual steam wand instead of an auto-carafe. Sure, it's cheaper, but you'll spend more time frothing milk manually, and customization is limited to one user. Or the Gaggia Anima, a sibling at about $600, with similar heritage but only 5-6 drinks, no profiles, and a simpler display. It lacks the XL options and over-ice capability (available in some Prestige variants).

Then there's the Philips 3200 LatteGo, around $700, with an auto-milk system but plastic-heavy build, fewer grind settings (5 vs. 10), and no removable brew group – cleaning is a hassle with proprietary cycles. Jura's ENA 4, at $800-$900, is sleek but focuses on black coffees, skimping on milk drinks and profiles. These cheaper alternatives cut corners on durability, versatility, and ease – the Magnifica might save $300 upfront but lacks the Prestige's finesse, leading to frustration over time. The Cadorna's 14 drinks and four profiles mean it's future-proof for growing tastes or families.

Plus, its energy efficiency and longevity (backed by a 2-year warranty) reduce long-term costs – fewer repairs, better brews. Think of it as buying a reliable Fiat versus a budget scooter; both get you there, but one does it with style and comfort. If you're serious about home barista vibes, the Prestige's high-quality features justify the splurge, turning "expensive" into "excellent value."

In wrapping up this caffeinated odyssey, the Gaggia Cadorna Prestige is more than a coffee machine – it's your ticket to the ultimate barista experience at home. With its Italian heritage channeling Achille's innovation, the ceramic grinder whispering sweet grinds, the removable brew group keeping things clean, integrated drawers for hassle-free operation, 14 delectable drinks on demand, and four profiles for personalized perfection, it delivers joy in every cup. Sure, the price is high, but against cheaper options, its superior features make it a smart, justified choice. If you're ready to ditch drive-thrus and embrace la dolce vita, this is your machine. Just remember: with great coffee comes great responsibility – to share with friends. Cheers to brewing bliss!

Don't Buy This Machine – Over-priced, slow and under-performing. I've ownned this machine for just under two years. I bought it when my wonderful Seiko Royal Cap Pro was… Read more

retired to the holiday house: what a disappointment the Gaggia has been: - The Accademia has two boilers BUT it only has one pump so you can't make coffee and steam at the same time. (the Seiko has two pumps). My fault for not appreciating this at the time, I know. However, the machine is still very slow and takes along time to make steam after making coffee. - The internal valves are plastic and the 'multi valve' in mine split and leaked water within the first year. The repairer advised not to use the flavor-intensifier (which increases brew head pressure) to avoid this happening again. - The rinse cycles at start-up and shut-down use so much water that you are forever emptying the drip trays and filling the water tank. - If it runs out of water mid-cycle, it aborts the brew instead of letting you top it up to finish. Same with beans. (The Seiko doesn't do this) - The dregs bin is flimsy and mine is broken: Segafredo refuse to replace it saying it is normal wear and tear. - The software user interface is ridiculous, using a non-intuitive combination of physical and touch-screen controls. Eg: Hot water requires requires a physical button press and then a touch-screen menu selection. - My machine very intermittently refuses to power on. The fix I have discovered is to unplug the machine, wait a minute or two, plug it in and try again. Segafedo want me to send it back to them for three weeks or more (at my expense). If they can't reproduce the fault, my warranty then expires (2 years) and the machine faults again, I will be on my own. - The milk carafe feels fragile and I don't think it will last long. The micro-switches which detect the milk carafe position do not operate positively and the carafe must be jiggled to get them to operate.

On the plus side, it does make a decent coffee when everything is dialed up to max. However, my confidence in the machine's longevity and backup is pretty low. I'll look elsewhere next time.

It’s definitely an expensive machine, but if it’s within your budget, I’d absolutely recommend it.

occasions mainly due to steam system failure). The Bosch makes better coffee with less effort due to the milk frothing tech and the ability to program a fully automated customized brew (in my case a large strong Mugachino :) ). I have not experienced water temperature issues with my Bosch machine that other reviewers have reported. The four star rating reflects my disappointment that the touch control panel failed recently and required a service call. However, to their credit the Bosch service dept. provided a goodwill repair free of charge even though the manufacturer warranty period of 2 years had expired. I did have to remind them of the implied Australian consumer protection provisions before the goodwill gesture was made. Its an expensive built-in machine compared to bench top types and uses quite a bit of rinse water but I am very happy with the quality of the brew and convenience of the product , particularly when we have guests who request a variety of different coffee cups. If the maintenance instructions are followed and the thermos style milk container and connecting hose are rinsed out after use this machine is one of the best built-in coffee machines on the market

My advice is don't buy this product, it's not worth the huge amount of money for such a bad design. Other models you can completely remove the spouts and check them fully, not on this stupid model. This was our first Delonghi product and most definitely the last!!!!! **Video is of Cleaning

This machine is less than a year old. Started making this noise and stopped frothing the milk. The solution to the noise, the first time (after… Read more

waiting for parts for 3-4 weeks) didn't work. Took it in again, second time around it was a bubble under the air filter. Solution to this? Either don't use a filter or buy more products from De'Longhi as an alternative to the filter. Then there's the milk issue. I was told to use the wash cycle on the milk carafe at least 3 times before every coffee I make, or don't leave the carafe in the fridge, only fill it for each cup. This is far from the nice, quick and easy one touch to make a coffee! Annoyingly, I've now been reading quite a number of reviews with similar problems. Have requested a refund or upgrade, but was offered coffee beans and cups for a machine that doesn't work properly. Agree with others regarding the temperature of the overall coffee - just can't get it hot enough. This was my first big purchase like this and it's very disappointing.

Bargain Automatic Espresso Coffee Machine – [Purchased from Cafelffe via AliExpress.] I had an old Sunbeam 10 bar Coffee machine I inherited from my mother, that was on its last legs, so I… Read more

decided to upgrade. I had previously bought through AliExpress in China, so I looked there first. I liked Cappuccinos, so was after an automatic machine for them. At AU$138.00 (plus AU$13.80 GST), the 3-in-1 Cafelffe machine caught my eye. It was a 20 bar machine, which could brew Espresso, Cappuccinos, and Lattes. It had its own 700ml clip-on milk Reservoir and a 1.3L water tank. The shipping cost was AU$2.20 and since it weighed 4kg it took about 31 days to arrive, via sea-mail. Before it arrived I purchased a Bodum* Burr Coffee Grinder, and a Arlec* Power board. The machine was very well and securely packed and easy to assemble, with an excellent manual. There was an ability to change the coffee temperature and volume settings, as well as audio and visual warning lights, when the water tank was nearly empty, etc. It is a barista machine - ie a 1 cup at-a-time for Cappuccinos/Lattes. I use soy milk in my coffee and was pleasantly pleased to se the amount of froth in my Cappuccino and Latte cups. All 3 coffees were of Barista quality. When I changed the Latte volume I was not sure of the volume of milk needed, but a quick chat with a Cafeleffe tech, who told me it was 120ml in a 250ml cup, satisfied me.

Note: This machine does not have an AU plug - only EU and UK. Both are clunky, with the UK one having a fuse in the cord plug. (I bought 2 AU plug adapters through AliExpress at the same time. as I bought this machine).

I love this machine for a no fuss morning coffee.

The new Jura J10 automatic coffee machine seems to be a new-generation design. The outer case materials are still overwhelmingly plastic, but the… Read more

machine has several functional improvements over previous models. The grinder now reverses momentarily after grinding, apparently to dislodge any remaining coffee residue, and the intensity adjustment can now be performed when the grinder is stationery.

The milk frother has been redesigned to eliminate the annoying rubber top wedge plug which was prone to failure and was expensive to replace. The new frother works OK but the milk froth does not seem to be as robust or as dense as it was previously. So you might want to increase the duration of the milk froth delivery to compensate. It worked for me.

There has also been a big improvement to the milk system cleaning procedure. It is now a one-button-press process, with the machine filling the receptacle with hot water to dissolve the cleaning crystals and then cleaning the system with less water consumption than previously needed. The milk frother itself still needs to be cleaned regularly, but weekly instead of daily. Cleaning daily is better to prevent any internal milk residue build-up.

Heating-up times seem a bit longer than earlier models but the upside is that the coffee is significantly hotter than that from earlier machines. A big improvement there. Heat the cups first if you want a very hot coffee.

The number of coffee types available is very extensive and probably much more than anyone wants or needs, and each one is programmable. This is a complex machine but performs well. After the initial trepidation regarding operational procedure and programming, the machine becomes easy to operate and relatively intuitive.

The coffees, both black and milk types, are very good indeed when you get the intensity, strength, temperature and milk quantity right for you. My wife approves. Flavoured coffees and foams are not my thing but they're available, as is cold brew coffee in several options.

There are undoubtedly more innovations and options than mentioned here, and a more comprehensive instruction manual would be useful.

The normal coffee machine maintenance regimes are required including filter changing and machine cleaning, etc. I think that Jura is very mean for not providing a milk container with the machine. A machine worth thousands of dollars should be operationally complete when delivered. The Jura milk container is $50+ and is not even toughened glass. If you drop it, it will shatter into lethal shards. The original Jura insulated stainless steel milk container was much better but is discontinued.

This is a large, heavy and very capable machine. Certainly, it is much better that the three previous Jura machines I have owned and might be the best Jura coffee machine currently available, in my opinion.

A great little espresso machine that knows it can – This is the first review for the Barista Mate touch. I thought I would add a review as I was quite impressed with the quality of the machine,… Read more

especially for the price I paid. I gave it 5 stars mainly due to what you get for the price you pay. I have read only one other review on some other site saying there is a metallic taste, and it takes for ever to heat the milk and squirts out water. I want to say this is false and most likely didn't read the instructions on purging the machine when first using it and pre-purge wand when steaming as with all espresso machines. After purging the machine for use I made my first coffee. The Portafilter comes preinstalled with a two-cup filter, Its just a tad smaller than industry standard but still makes a good strong cup of coffee. The Portafilter is also quite light but the filters themselves are excellent and are made in a way that you will always get a good cup of coffee as its designed to build and keep pressure no matter on grind. Extracting the coffee the Lenoxx machine does one pre line fill, then one small presoak, then another presoak then the extraction... I have only seen this in expensive machines such as the Breville’s eg 3 wave extraction. This makes for a nice strong fully extracted with a thick crema on top. Steam wand wise it quickly heats, I would pre-purge water in line before steaming milk as good practice, its only a tiny bit of water so wont really affect milk if don’t. It took around 40seconds to heat the included milk frothing pitcher (cup) which is really impressive in my experience it can take around 1min to 1min40 to heat milk on many other machines. The steam quality is excellent and can get a nice froth for anyone wanting to practice latte art. Taste wise I was impressed hence writing this review. I have had Breville Barista Pro machines then went to a Gaggia Automatic mainly due to the family but wanted to go manual again without the expense. Found this machine on catch and jumped on it and are very impressed. It can handle espresso fine grind (used my Breville grinder) Its very easy to use. and only suggestions is to get a silicon mat which can be found online to put under it to stop it from sliding around when putting in the portafilter and upgrade the 51mm portafilter and tamper which are available online and get a knock box to empty the filter and you will have a nice little compact yet cheap setup. Perfect for small kitchens or if want to keep your bench space. It also looks great, the icons on touch panel are colour, the case is stainless steel. Overall, its light but looks quality. Visitors wouldn’t expect it to be such a cheap machine.

the C'2CT/Core model which can make up to 175 Expressos per hour if you really want to make that many, that is.

One of the nice features that we like is that we can make 2 cups of coffee at the same time, they are good to go within 23 seconds too which is quick. Cleaning the machine is easy too, we bought a number of cleaning balls along with a cleaning solution which makes the process really easy.

The pricing was quite competitive too. All up I would recommend this machine to anyone wanting one for their office or coffee shop at that.

My Dinamica packed it in, stuck between telling me I had not placed the brew Unit in, to just not working, because well, it won't work if it thinks… Read more

the brew unit is missing.

Now there are a number of colours with this machine and another model the 312.80 which to all intent and purpose is exactly the same machine.

The thing I liked was the new screen being in the angled position and having lighting and pictures for idiots' display. Actually there is no backlighting here just a screen which lights up , that's a shame really, backlighting the icons is needed.

Once you plug it in it walks you through the setup on the screen at the top. I use filtered water and my water is soft so I left the filter out.

The milk jug is a little different from my previous machine with only one foam setting but it is fine and probably is the setting I would use any way if I had a multi choice. There is a sensor near the bottom of the unit that can tell if you have milk in the container or not.

The hot setting and the medium setting for the water, were way too hot for my taste, so I dialed in the low setting and chose five beans for my intensity and chose 5 to 6 on the grind setting. I tried a finer grind, but I thought it would blow up straining to pass water through it.

The pad on top of the machine might be for just placing your cups there with no heating , I guess, but I would not do that as there is no lip to stop them from falling off. If it heats your cup I would be surprised, my old Dinamica did, but it was chrome and I could feel the heat , but this one, I could not feel anything.

The one thing I struggled with was how the heck do I put in my own quantities and save it to the profile.? After much reading on the web, I finally found the answer.

By default you are Profile one , so, what you do is this, you select your drink, you select the intensity and then you hit the MY button and the machine then surrenders to your whim and walks you through to the quantities you chose , hit OK to stop the fill and then it offers to save those settings .

You can thank me later for all the groundwork I did to nail this down. As I have different size mugs for different drinks I was thankful that I got to use those mugs to suit my taste. In the end it was all good and the machine now delivers what I want.

My only gripe with DeLonghi apart from poor documentation is that the machines do not seem to last with 4 years being my record so far, but then when I think back to my Jura it didn't last that long either and was 3 times the price at the time. And to be honest the coffee was no better nor worse. Still though, if it lasts 3 years that's a dollar a day so that's cheap right ?

I recommend this machine with the caveat I may come back and re assess my thoughts if it gives me any angst.
