Perfect for small cars with three children! – We have a Nissan Dualis and three kids under the age of 6, so we need three car seats and the Hi Liner is the ONLY one fits in our car with other two seats for children under 3! It's slim and very easy to use, it's basically like putting your child in adult seat just a bit elevated then the kid can buckle the belt without your help! Show reply
Love this seat! – Bought this for my daughter when I had a baby and her seat went to her younger brother. It is nice and narrow so we were able to fit three seats across our Mazda6 hatch. I feel confident that she's safe in this seat and even though she's tall I'm confident it will last till she is at least 8yrs old.
Perfect third seat in the car for our little boy – I purchased this seat about a month ago now, the Nevada. I needed something slim enough to fit 3 seats across the back of our colorado. I really wanted another AHR Easy ajust but the fit was too tight, so I purchased this seat instead, turns out I'm really happy with it. I did have to purchase a seat belt extender ($50 from autobarn) as it was… Read more
too hard for my son or myself to get my hand in between the seats each time he got in and out, but with the extender it now works well. My son now sits deeper I the seat which means he has more leg room. The seat is easy to install & adjust. I initially wanted to purchase the harness but decided it was too much mucking around to put on and off, turns out the seat belt with the slip guard is perfect anyway, & a great introduction to wearing a seatbelt. Overall I'm really happy with the purchse, it think its great vaue for money :)
Good – We bought this booster as we are having a second child now, so our toddler has graduated to this booster. It's a pity most boosters don't come with in-built harnesses as those are usually a lot easier to use, but we did buy a separate harness to use with htis seat and it is quite secure, so pretty happy with this seat in general. Slim design, so… Read more
it fits easily next to another car-seat, comfortable, adjustable headrest which can be adjusted as baby grows, not too expensive If using for from 14kg (minimum toddler weight to use with this booster chair), you need to buy s separate harness to use in conjunction with the car's seatbelt, and the harness is quite fiddly to use, but once you have the seatbelt and harness lengths adjusted as required, it's not too bad.
Worst child restraint I've bought – I bought this booster seat when I was having my 3rd child and needed to fit 3 seats across the back seat. It was a perfect fit and was replacing the much wider safe-n-sound pegasus that I'd been using. It ended up being a terrible waste of money. My daughter constantly complained about it hurting her neck and shoulders regardless of how many times… Read more
I adjusted the headrest height, even having to pull off the freeway into the emergency lane to adjust it. If she fell asleep she would wake up crying everytime with neck and shoulder pain. I persisted for a couple of months thinking that she would get used to it but it just got worse. I ended up putting the pegasus back in the car and giving away the hi-liner. Narrow enough to fit it the car with other child restraints, and the fact that it is made by "safe-n-sound" Terribly uncomfortable for my child
Great seat – We bought this seat for my son he finds it confortable. Its very user friendly. The slideguard is a must its also adjustable which we found we have had to do a few times. Great colour choices and fabric seems good quality. The cup holders are very handy and easily stored away so you can in the car with other car seats. With all the seatbelt paths… Read more
it means you can get a good fit with the seatbelt. Height adjustable, slideguard, cupholders & size Like alit of boosters its difficult to get a perfect fit when boister is in a dual cab ute because the seat is so upright. It made my son very unconfortable.
Good – fits well with other seats... am HOPING I can get away with using the seat belt with my daughter... otherwise will have to get the harness.. and all the hassle that THEN goes with that... PLEASE make an inbuilt harness, cover the FULL AGE AND WEIGHT RATING OF THE SEAT!!!!! If someone wants to THEN just use a seat belt! I wanted to get the Hi… Read more
Rider, but it would not fit... The anti-submarine clip was the MAJOR selling point for me! All other booster seats are pretty much the same. They MUST make this booster seat with an inbuilt harness for the 4 to 7 age group now!! trying to do UP the seat belt ALL THE TIME with MORE tan 1 seat in the back is a MONUMENTAL PAIN IN THE BACK SIDE!!! I had to rearrange my seats in the middle row of my Tarago, and now I have 2 kids that NEED to be separated, cause they fight, together!
Excellent – Overall this is a great seat. The slideguard and quality seatbelt guides make the slightly higher price worth it. It's as narrow as any booster and fits in the car much more simply than others on the market. The harness fits really nicely, but is a little fiddly to adjust and fit the first time. Worth getting, but worth getting help if you're… Read more
using a harness. Has been recently redesigned with better guides for harness, seatbelt, nicer fabric, more padding etc. These features are now probably better than most other similar boosters (plastic slimlines with adjustable headrests). Slideguard (clip that comes up between legs to stop child sliding out or seatbelt riding up) is fantastic. Relatively pricey for a booster (RRP $189), and the (protecta) harness that goes with it is pricey too (about $60).
Good – This a great seat to use once your child has outgrown a 5 point harness carseat at 18kg. The seat is very easy to install and also adjust while using. It gives great head support and protection and the adjustable headrest means that tall kids are protected as well. This model has now been superseded by the HiLiner SG. Good head… Read more

Great and safe booster!! – My 6 year old loves his Hi-liner. Easy to put in and take out when needed. one of the safest Boosters on the Australin market. great step after your child grows out of the 5 point carseat. Fits really well with other carseats. Easy to use and safe they cover comes off the head rest, just tied it on.
Bad – the hi liner is a practicle booster that is narror and allows 3 seats to fit in cars back seat professional install is recomended as it is a pain to get the correct set up when using the harness and can actually be more dangerous if harness is not installed correctly. narrow booster with tether and ability to add a harness for extra protection… Read more
expandable headrest grows with child, and anti sub clip that not all boosters have, 5 year warranty on shell and 2 years on fabrics covers slip around too much, needing to purchase harness seperate and using harness makes seat a pain at times to use
Excellent – We had trouble finding a booster for our dual cab as the rear seat is so upright. This fitted perfectly as is has a reclining back which adjusts to different angles. An adult seatbelt fits very well in this seat as well as the harness. It requies the more expensive protecta harness but make adjusting so much more easier. A couple of cons but… Read more
minor points. We are going to buy another one for our other car. What a great booster seat. Slimline and the headrest holds ours sons head upright when he falls asleep. No more 'dangly' heads. The padding on the bottom of the seat is a little thin. The material makes our son sweat in summer. The cup holders are completely USELESS. It would take a one in a million cup to stay in that thing!
Good – Great for if you have limited space in the back seat, looks good and is versatile fot the growing child. Slim-line so it allows 3 child seats across the car (we have baby capsule, toddler seat & Hi-Liner in a Toyota Avalon). Comfortable for the child & adjustable height head rest is great to allow sleeping. Anti-submarine clip is a great safety… Read more
bonus. The fabric seat cover was ruined in the spin cycle in the washing machine (care instructions say it is machine washable). It was basically too broad & got caught in the top of the macine as it spun. However Britax (co. who make Safe n Sound) were EXTREMELY generous & sent a free replacement cover. We are happy again (but washing machine is damaged!).
Fiddly to use the harness (bought separately), but we persist with it as it is safer for the child.
