to toddler (front facing). I like the automatic retractor, even though we do have to pull the straps tight from behind the seat so that it retracts properly - it's still much easier to use than our other car seat which does not have the retractor button. It does seem like it is loose when it is installed - not sure if this is on purpose for safety but it just doesn't feel like it's fitted right when it is able to be moved sideways quite easily - can't see how it would be that protective!

locking clip and now it is much more secure. Well padded especially around the head with good cushioning for the newborn & comfortable. Ours is in grey and the colour of the fabric closely matches the interior of our car so it doesn't look out of place plus I think it would be a bit cooler than black. Reasonably easy to use (for me, my husband wouldn't agree though). Removable washable cover. The straps on the harness get easily twisted and my husband often gets impatient trying to secure our little one. We do need to also pull the harness at the back to aid the retractor mechanism to tighten properly. Does take up alot of room when in the rear facing position, so much that when it was in our mazda6 my husband would have to ride in the back if I drove as he didn't have enough leg room. The format of the instruction booklet is a little confusing.

Excellent – We love it. My son is now 2 and is still comfortable in it. Will be using it for the next bub who is due soon as its still in perfect condition. We've had ours for over 2 years and love it. Very easy to use. Love the retractor because you need to constantly adjust depending on what bubs wearing or has eaten. We bought it because there seemed to be a lot of head padding compared to other seats for newborns. Straps get twisted though that probably happens with all car seats.

OK – To those who are saying the seat has a lot of sideways movement even when fitted correctly I find this hard to believe. If you have a seat correctly fitted there should be no more than 1 inch sideways movement. This car seat is nice and simple. The fabric is great quality and washes well. I would hesitate about paying extra for the 'retractor mechanism' as it tends to stop retracting properly after not much use and becomes more of a hinderance than a benefit. Manually retracting harnesses are not exactly cumbersome, especially on this design of seat. Fits tightly into car, nice padding and fabric, simpler to use than other more expensive seats, moderate cost (no where near the most expensive seats) retractor mechanism, high first level of harness

sideways movement in front-facing (and yes, was installed properly).

No anti-slip mat or other accessories.

Very wide and large - need to pull drivers seat right forward not to touch car seat while in rear-facing. Child feet hits drivers seat back in forward facing.

Retractor button not very effective (need to pull straps tight manually from back of seat) - would prefer non-retractor model.
