Worst Fridge – Husband wanted this fridge however the ice maker does not work and I wish we never purchased it! On the other had Samsung does not want to talk to me once I mentioned then the Australian consumer law, which states if the product is unrepairable, Samsung should repair or change it. Perfect! – Our SRS758DP has been with us for nearly 10 years, we bought it only because it offered most space within the price range. We cannot be happier with the purchase, no problem at all, and I never have to store leftovers in smaller containers, there is always space for extra. but we then found it was the overloaded freezer, the door was not closed properly, or there were too much foods blocking the cycle. We removed half of the boxes from top shelf and it never happened again.

Beware new ones only have a 2 year total warranty in australia and you pay an extra $369 for extra 4 years warranty after makers warranty expires on a $2000 fridge.

disassemble and defrost every couple of weeks. Cannot find defrost heater elements for it. Everything Samsung in our house was bought new and has been terrible as far as reliability and getting repaired. In short do not buy a Samsung fridge/microwave anything !!!
Big and Beautiful – Mine is 5 years old now and appart from a defrost when the fan starts icing up its pretty good. I found that if I replace the filter it wont ice up as much. Dont bother with the deiceing heater when the fan makes a noise its time to defrost the freezer. I just leave it open ova night and its good for another 6 months. Gotta clean it out sometime. 5 years old and I can't get parts for it – This is not the first time this fridge has broken down. First time was under waranty and thermostat went. instead of a fridge. Freezer always iced up and fan would hit the ice which makes a terrible noise. Have to take the cover off every year and chip out the ice around the circulation fan. Very poorly designed. Not a problem now though as it cannot be fixed. The ice cubes always froze in a lump under the sensor lever so the machine would not make more ice and would run empty until you broke it up. Great size and good large door bins. Poor design for cooling with single compressor and ice maker bad. Reliability is very poor.

purchasing this total lemon. Samsung are least interested and referred us to the "out of warranty" service people who want a $99 call out fee and $99 per hour after that PLUS parts even though there is a 5 year warranty on the parts. Samsung customer service a total joke! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

April Florido/Samsung in early 2009 - guess what, it's now nearly August 2009 and I still don't have a replacement or any other satisfactory solution. I have lost many $$$$ in groceries and ALL of the frozen BREASTMILK I had worked hard to collect and store for my baby for my return to work. Seriously they are a waste of money. The Tech told me me they know of the problem but are unable to rectify it. Fridge part works sometimes..Looks smart, love the look of the ice/water dispenser, (but doesn't work) and the hype about the silver nano coating. The water dispenser and the water that fills the ice trays automatically freezes and so unable to get ice OR water. This transfers to the fridge with cooling problems.

kitchen is like visiting an airport. Were waiting for Samsung to call us about a replacement which our repair tech has submitted. I spoke to the Brisbane Service Manager who told me they will do one of the following: -
1. Replace the fridge with an srs610 (way to small and the warranty will not be renewed)
2. Offer us a larger equivalent fridge srs768dss (we have to pay the difference which is poss $1000s and you get a warranty)
3. Our money back (we have to use it in the same store)
I'd like to know if anyone like 'fridgy' has succeeded in getting a fridge the same size from Samsung (we call them Sam's Dung) without paying the XTRA? Either way I don't want to own another Samsdung frigge or product for that matter. BTY our Samsung DVD burner packed it in just outside the warranty and not one of the family memories on the burnt disks will work on any unit. So disappointed in Samsung. I wont buy there products anymore. right price for the right size (read every other review, ditto)
Dealing with Samsung has been the worst con. Our fridge showed problems after 16 months in march 2008 and we are still dealing with Samsung for a solution now in Aug 08.
Excellent – Love it - best so far - well priced and problem apparent which are easily managed Its a shame owners don't want to overcome simple issues with this great fridge Everyting - including its faults Defrosting every 6 months - but thats what fridges are all about

had to find my own repairer to look at the fridge the first time. I bought my fridge April 07 - the noise started March 08 and now again July 08. I have been told there is nothing wrong with it!!!! Like all other customers we have experienced the same issues with the fridge/freezer not working properly. Living in a remote area we were eventually granted a replacement fridge after a month of living out of an esky and exceptionally rude customer service. We were told not to call any more as it would not help our second fridge to arrive any faster. After relentless pleasant phone calls we would only be put through to the manager after threatening to speak to a person in their head office. However the manager again had little care and made promises which were again not kept. We have never experienced such poor customer service and are totally disgusted that they are still getting away with selling this product and not providing an effecient service when problems arise.
Terrible – This time I am going to ask to keep the old part and let it dry out. Then when the new part freezes up I can keep swaping them over instead of waiting days for a service call. a zero rating not a one rating. Good size fridge I like the colour and large door shelf space. The main part of the fridge isn't cold enough. The freezer fan keeps feezing up causing a rattling noise and the freezer vent get blocked with ice. The fridge is 11 months old and I have had three replacement parts so far and I am waiting for the service man to but the fouth kit in.

I Would like to rate them a zero if I could! big size Like most of the other reviews for Samsung, we have had no end of troubles with this company.After owning the frigde for about 18 months, it began having trouble with remaining cold. There was alot of built up ice on the back of the freezer which prevented the fan / defrost cycle working properly. The support and customer service was appalling!! Our fridge was under warranty, but Samsung had very much a "don't care" attitude. After having a technician come out three times, and eventually have the compressor replaced, it still didn't work. After being without a fridge for nearly four weeks at this stage,it took three more weeks before getting it approved for replacement (and this is right over the Christmas period!!!). They tell us however, that they need to give us a much smaller fridge (611 L)since they now don't make our model (755 L). We have decided instead to get out money back, as we don't ever want to have to deal with Samsung again!

bloody piece of crap fridge - seriously folks .... how can it be that something like a bloody FRIDGE still doesn't work after the things have been made for 100+ years! We couldn't even get a so-called service technician to come! multiple calls on the day it broke down.....multiple hours trying to get other technicians to repair it without any manuals or advice from Samsung. We got the same lies about there not being a replacement model.... well there is, but it is a lot more expensive ... NOT OUR PROBLEM - read your own warranty information ON YOUR WEBSITE Samsung! especially those who stock these models of fridges. I will NOT BUY ANOTHER SAMSUNG PRODUCT due to their customer service and the stress it has given me. This is not a reputable company and Consumer Affairs confirmed this when I spoke to them when they said they have had 'a large volume of complaints regarding Samsung products'. Samsung, is in my view, a dodgy company. Don't add stress to your life by buying Samsung. Spend a bit extra and use a more reputable company. Excellent pewter finish that is easy to clean unlike stainless steel. Good sized unit. Noisy fan that sounds like a chainsaw due to unit not being able to be sealed properly and therefore ices up. Noise is awful and occurs mainly at night or when we have visitors (great advertisement...). The fridge and freezer have also had the warming problem and I lost a fridgeful of food as it was warm when I discovered it. Samsung customer service were very unhelpful and kept on fobbing me off saying they didn't have the appropriate paperwork (they did!)and getting through to them was almost impossible. They only made me an offer of replacement after I got Consumer Affairs involved but then the replacement was a 610 litre version and certainly not an equivalent that they state in their 'liability statement'. Equivalent according to the dictionary means 'the same in quantity, quality, size, degree, level etc'. Samsung clearly do not have an understanding of the english language or their commitment they make in their liability statement. I bought a large capacity fridge because I have a large family and a 610 litre is not the same.

a great feature, fit heaps of things in the doors alone. The meat section that sits under one of the shelves is a neat idea too. Ice maker works well and easy to install. There seems to be a 7 month cycle with this model as there is a serious design flaw with it (you could just about pre-book your samsung tech for the next scheduled breakdown). The fan in the freezer part ices up, starts to make a really loud noise when the fan starts to hit the ice then if your Samsung tech doesnt get there in time (we have been lucky, ours has been rather prompt) the fridge will break down. 3 years and 2 fridges later we are sick and tired of this design flaw and samsungs bandaid measures to fix it. Admittedly they have attempted to fix the problem but it boils down to the fact the fridge is a DEAD SET LEMON.

A recognised fault in design that Samsung has now changed on all subsequent models. No wonder the fridge was heavily discounted at Harvey Norman. Going through the warranty claim at the moment.
