Great car seat – Bought this on special at baby bunting as a 2nd car seat for hubbys car. Ended up taking the more expensive “luxury” one out of my car to take this 1 as my daughter is much more comfortable and cooler in this one and it has a much better base and does not need straitening up as much. rear-facing marker she is able to rear-face longer than 12 months old. I am so so happy I've bought this seat when I really needed it when I had my first child.

Love his car seat still 4 yrs on – I bought this car seat from target back in 2010 for my first baby. Was a great car seat then however not a big fan of the sweaty velvet fabric. Now using it for my second baby and I know a lot more now about car seats and safety. I love that it's RF til 12kg. Kinda wish it had height markers too but I hear that newer models do now. Definitely a good inexpensive safe seat.

harness was a lot easier and fuss free. Must say I much preferred my earlier model of the Guadian. I do like the current models fabric better though! Also that the current model comes with harness protectors, a messy mat and a storage pocket. Both models have come with head pillows and newborn inserts.

I much preferred the 'base' on my earlier model too. The current model has a 'foot'. Refer to pages 10,11,12 & 13 of the instruction manual. I hope that when we turn the carseat to forward facing that we do not experience the same problems as previous reviewer barna. (Current Model) - The cover & colour of it, can be removed for washing. Included extras such as head pillow, harness protectors, messy mat, storage pocket & newborn insert. (Current Model) - Manual adjust for the harness, would much prefer a retracable harness system. Even though our sons shoulders are nowhere near the line for when he should be turned to forward facing, his feet are almost touching the backrest of our cars backseat. He is in the 70th centile, but come on!

Great car seat – We've had this car seat since my daughter was born 9 months ago and it still looks as new. She is still rear-facing but has always looked comfortable in it and falls asleep in it on a regular occurrence. I am yet to come across any down side to this car seat. Comfy and Safe

certain it wont fault in an accident. The straps also easily twist hard to keep flat my friend has this same seat and it's a year older and the straps are really twisted, which means the seats safety is compromised, and lastly it doesn't have the chest plate which is great for even distribution, stops the kiddies getting out and stops the straps falling off the shoulder, once the seat belt twists it almost wants to pull out at the shoulders... I'm currently reserching more indepth to get a new one and get my 10 month old back rear facing... the seat it self when installed with the anchor is sound and secure and it was a good price price, looks good, Belts twist easily, rear facing only to 12kgs, no breast plate

Love this carseat! – My son always looks comfy in this car seat, it's summer and he doesn't get hot in it as he did in the capsule i used before. I find it easy to get him in and out,its easy to adjust strap sizes as he grows. I absolutely love this car seat and would recommend it to anyone and everyone. Inexpensive, great brand

The only thing that we didn't like was it was a bit fiddly getting our daughter in and out when the car seat was in the rearward-facing position because of the straps that secure the seat to the anchor point, but I imagine this would be the case with most rearward-facing seats, and once you got used to this it was fine. I'm glad I made this choice – Safe-n-sound guardian made me feel like my child was protected on our travels, which was the most improtant reason we chose this one. Safe-n-sound had been recommended to us by many people, and we certainly weren't disappointed. inexpensive, the baby can be rearwards facing until they are 12kg (important for safety for our family) Quite tricky to get baby in and out of- but I think that's all baby seats.

Good – There is no point paying for the extra additions in other Safe and Sound carseats because this basic one fulfills every function you could need. Worth Every Cent! Love it!!! – I have a pram & carseat fetish, I cannot help myself. I have 4 carseats & this is by far the best! Gets used a fair few times each day & shows no wear & tear! adjust seat rather than the push button model as we didnt find the auto mode easy to use. super comfy, lots support for little bubs, not too expensive, easy to clean difficult to adjust straps etc. quite bulky

It will last my daughter a long time which is reassuring. Feels very safe and secure and has rated highly on safety. I feel very comfortable having my child in this seat as it installs very firmly and is made from high quality materials.

favourite feature is the forward facing recline. My 1 year old is in the forward facing recline and it is great because although she has control of her neck, when she is sleeping her head really hangs so in an upright position it would be extremely uncomfortable. She sleeps so well in it and I think it is because she is so comfy! Not many, but I do find the straps to be a little frustrating as I can never get them just right after adjusting them. But I have not had experience with any other car seat so they may all be the same for all I know.

were plastic and seamed flimsy. This is a simple, strong and stylish seat, and also very practical. This baby seat is fantastic. It has all the basic features you need, and nothing you don't. It's stylish and strong, and converting it is simple!It has clear instructions and the dial shows you exactly what mode it's in. I love the fact you can have it forward facing and semi reclined so babies can still comfortably take a nap without their head rolling forwards. It's lovely and padded, and for the price I think there is nothing that even comes close to matching the quality. There isn't anything I dislike about this seat.

is just so comfy. It is a bigger type seat so there is plenty of room. Nothing - I think it is a very good baby car seat. If you had a small car it could be a problem fitting in as the base is quite big on them. Fits perfect into my Magna though.

a spare as can go from birth-4 years. Target had this on sale and proved to be great value for money. My son seemingly loved this seat. He could see his Grandma easily and looked so cute with his hand holding the rim. Fits rearward facing in my mothers Barina with seats all the way back. Baby got a bit sweaty when it was hot, bade is wide and so in my mum's barina the other backseat passengers were squished against the door.

difficult adjustment of AHR or the huge cost. Sturdy and well made, long lasting fabric & design. Rearward facing up to 12kg (unlike other brands which can be only up to 9kg). Tall & wide - lots of room to grow. Fits well into most cars and harness adjustment works well. Not the cheapest seat, quite bulky rearward facing, difficult to fit with 2 other seats across the back.
