A. great buy & still going strong after 15 years! – I bought this smaller microwave for my first home in 2005. Happily I can say the microwave and the home are still going! We have had absolutely no problems with the microwave at all and certainly got our money's worth! I would be delighted to find a silver stainless steel model the same dimensions (as we subsequently had a new kitchen and the… Read more · 1
microwave space was built around this very model.) Any ideas? Would also love to know the specs on this 15 year old microwave so I could replace with a similar power and of course the size. 11/10 Thanks LG!
Was a great Mircowave – It lasted over 14 years and I actually stuffed it up by putting in the wrong time and overheating it. The only quibble was there was no Minute or 10 sec like buttons. That said you can add the minutes or Secs digitally. Show reply
No complaints – Not bad...we actually bought our at a garage sale 4 years ago for $15 and is still going strong, so no complaints. It is used every day for heating my wheat bag lol! Not to mention other things like food :o) I would certainly recommend to a friend as a basic needs microwave.
Only lasted 3 years – This microwave was far from cheap and only lasted just over a few years. I expected this microwave to outlast due to the brand and price -but sadly no!!! First of all we had to have it repaired after only 1 year (under warranty) as it just stopped working. Then just last week it died on us - not happy and would not buy another LG model again.… Read more
Decided to buy a cheap Kambrook in Kmart for only $95 because if they only last 3 years, it is better than $300. powerful broke down after 1 year, had it fixed then only lasted another 2 years.
Its lasted the years to be well worth its weight in gold – This Microwave oven belongs to the other half and she has had it for at least 7 years also. The microwave is a work horse in respect to that it has just kept on plugging along and has survived nuking steel cans and exploding liquids and the like. Due to the partners child having full access to this - the machine has had a hard life with more… Read more
than its fair share of 2 second turn on uses and weird and wonderful uncovered items that seem to self annihilate themselves once being subjected to the microwaves forces. The trouble is not the mess but for how long it's there before you find the mess - once it's had time to dry on and all that...
The microwave has had plenty of boil overs from cooking rice and I've imagined that the water ingress into the turntable would have cooked the oven, but lone behold it just keeps plugging on. I've invested in a deep dish for these boil overs - and a dish cover for the child's food, mind you the cover seems to be left out accidental and food explodes on a frequent basis...
I personally feel that most of the preset functions eg: meat defrosting etc, are pretty mediocre, with most meats being partially cooked - so you need to keep rotating it and turning over. I found that putting the items to the side of the rotating dish turntable you seem to get a better result.
Otherwise it's a workhorse or a oven, its been abused in every imaginable way and the door slammed like non other! Yet it keeps soldering on like the day it was purchased.
"Finally a LG product that I can live with!" Hasnt broken down, solid construction, as reliable as I've ever seen! Some pre set functions are a bit vague and slow to read etc - dont rely on these alone!
7 years old and still going strong – Not sure if I'm just lucky but after reading some horrible reviews about this microwave I thought I would re-balance the reviews. I've owned this microwave since 2005 (7 years) and it's still working fine. For a modestly priced microwave it's been pretty good. We bought it mainly because it's large inside. Feature wise we never use the sensor… Read more
cook functions but the pizza reheat works pretty well. The chicken pieces and mince meat defrost works well too... all other sensor related features are pretty poor compared to Sharp and Panasonic microwaves I've owned in the past. Reliable, large cavity sensor functions
Fire hazard blew up caught fire with flames – Bought microwave within 4 months had it replaced as turn plate would work unit on no heat settings pad short circuited this weekend while heating up some leftovers the smoke alarm went off in kitchen went in there smoke was coming out of unit when I opened door there were flames would not recommend LG microwaves to anyone fire hazard and… Read more
dangerous. Scary thing is when I rang LG they did not act very surprised that this occured told me that they will do something still waiting Had good features Bought microwave within 4 months had it replaced as turn plate would work unit on no heat settings pad short circuited this weekend while heating up some leftovers the smoke alarm went off in kitchen went in there smoke was coming out of unit when I opened door there were flames would not recommend LG microwaves to anyone fire hazard and dangerous
Very Average – We've had this microwave oven for about 2 years and it literally just died 20mins ago. i.e. it does not heat anymore. The turntable still spins but no heat at all. Definitely, need to do more research before buying its replacement. Easy to use functions Unreliable and not long lasting at all.
Good company – It's a good microwave... I m using since 2005 still works fine .... No prob ... No issue value for money .... Good brand Durable Nothing wrong
Excellent – I love this product and who says LG doesnt make microwaves. It is an excellent product and not costly at all. I love the way this product heats and defrosts things evenly and quickly at power 100. It is a very easy product to clean too and would recomment it to anyone who wants a decent size microwave that heats up well, does the job and is not… Read more · 1
costly at all. It is very easy to clean too. Simply excellent product. A must have. I have this product for the last 3 years and havent ever had any problems with it. Nothing really
Excellent – overall a great microwave that i love, i use it daily and so far nothing has gone worng, it is so easy to clean compared to my last microwave, it looks good and best of all the price is great too have had this microwave for about 3 years now and we have had no issues with it so far, heats perfectly, very powerful, love all the different… Read more
features/programs makes it easy to know what program to use for what, looks fantastic, is not too bulky or too heavy and is easy to clean there is nothing i dislike about this product
OK – Ok microwave for the money. We have not had any major dramas with it so far. In previous microwaves i have had a button to press to give something a one minute heat up and i kind of missed that in this model. Have had a few occasions where the microwave has cooked the edges of meat when i have been trying to defrost the meat, so i now keep a close… Read more
eye on things if i am defrosting. Have had no problems in the 1 1/2 years that i've used it. No 1 minute button...but i'm being lazy! Auto defrost tends to cook the edges of meat.
Terrible – Purchased in Jan, 2007. After one month, the unit broke. Light was on, the turntable went around but it was not heating. The retailer had it repaired for me within 5 days, however another month went by, same thing happened. This time, to their credit LG replaced the unit. The second one worked fine until Jan 2009, where the SAME THING… Read more
HAPPENED!(my luck just as the warranty was up) - The retailer that I made the original purchase from has now folded. Autocook Feature Unreliable

Terrible – November 7, 2008 Professional Engineer gets stumped by microwave oven by LG. 2 year old microwave oven by LG goes dead in the water. One week to get LG to send a serviceman. $128 flat fee paid for the call. LG sent the serviceman in with the wrong part(the famous "magnetron") despite having had correct model number communicated to… Read more
them.
Had to help serviceman remove the unit from the wall and take it to their shop.
Was told it would be a week(since this past Monday - today is Friday PM)
20 minutes ago I received the call - your part is back ordered - it will be approx. 2 weeks until it gets here.
One clear message - stay away from LG microwave ovens - do your homework - search on the internet - seethe horror stories.
Thank you None whatsoever Everything you could imagine
Excellent – I owned a Panasonic for the last 8 yrs or so. It was the best microwave. I was really disappointed with the poor quality of workmanship with the Panasonic when I was looking at microwaves about 10 months ago. This was the main reason I decided to try the LG and I haven't been disappointed. I prefer the white finish to the stainless steel since… Read more
I have a mostly white kitchen. Why is it with microwaves that you can't user a stacker turntable and end up with well heated food top & bottom? The top is always only warm. Trendy smart design. Well made product. Really love the way it beeps telling me my food is ready. The turntable seems smaller than usual even though there is more space inside. This doesn't detract from being able to use larger dishes. I'm yet to work out how to find low, medium settings so will have to look in the manual. Not as user friendly as my previous Panasonic.
Bad – Had a Sharp for more than 2years. But LG-just after 1year it failed. So dont be fooled about the price.Do your maths & take extended warranty for 2years. Large space, Round cavity lets you put in big trays Just after 1 year keypad failed.
Good – The LG MS-3444DPS looks smart, is easy to clean and is large enough to hold everything I've ever wanted to put in it. It is necessary to read to manual to understand all of the functions, but the information is also well covered by the manual. I've had the microwave for just over a year and have not had any problems with it. I love the interior of… Read more
this microwave. I specifically searched for a large sized oven before purchasing, and this one was exactly what I was after. The round interior makes it extremely easy to clean. Learning to use the oven hasn't been as easy as other microwaves I've owned.
Excellent – I have had this for just over a year now and very pleased with it. So many cooking options which i never use as i only reheat and defrost in it but for the 'microwave cooking fan' it has soo many options and manual is quite good. I have had no trouble at all. The rounded shape inside makes for very easy cleaning. Looks great, like the round cavity… Read more
for larger dishes. Big clear numbers and controls. Love the child lock - as my son reheated rice in the last one and entered 5 minutes..the smell was stuck forever and had to throw it. i can now lock it to avoid these accidents. None as yet
Good – This microwave has proved to be a reliable and dependable item, with an easy to use interface but lots of features if you are that way inclined at a very reasonable price. Can't really go wrong with one of these microwaves. Attractive looking design, quite light so easy to move around for cleaning underneath etc and very simple to use. Enter the… Read more
time and press start is all that is needed really. There is a number of built in menus but I don't find any use for them. Heats food very quickly. Feels a little cheap but that is compared to my old 80's Sanyo microwave which was a bit of a tank. In addition, once it finishes, it will repeatedly beep at me until I open the door which is annoying. I know it has finished but it still feels the need to constantly tell me over and over again if I can't get there straight away.
