Banana Boat After Sun

Swollen face – I used this product on my two kids, and when I sprayed it on my daughter's face, she immediately started screaming, saying it was burning. At first, I thought she was exaggerating, but thankfully she insisted I wash it off. My son didn’t complain and used it too, but now his face is swollen, and his eyes are almost completely shut! Never had this sort of reaction to anything before. Won't recommend to anyone.

Horrible – Went to the beach Sunday and it’s now Wednesday was using this spray as a get through the day as I can’t put in the gel by myself my husband bought. When sprayed I now feel a painful itch like pins being stabbed in me and now realised my sunburn would most likely be done and dusted now if I never touched this mist worth product shouldn’t be on shelves! Show details

Can't live without it – Burned really badly on a shopping day in Brighton. We went to Asda to buy a aftersun. Picked the spray because it seemed really handy. Really loved it. Did not make it burn it all. It is the aerosol can as well. Pretty sure I'm the only one on here that loves it but worked wonders for me. Relieved my sunburn so much. I could not stop spraying it. Still use it to this day when necessary.

Buy the Aloe MIST spray not the aerosol can – I have the Aloe MIST spray in my cupboard the same as the one pictured in this review. I really like the one I have but am not sure I would buy the new aerosol version based on the other reviews here. With mine I love the smell & it doesn't sting at all.

Excellent – This is great for sunburnt skin, it is so good not to have to rub anything into sore skin, and just be able to spray it on and have instantly cooled down and soothed skin. tends to avoid this! Sprays on so there is no need to touch sensitive skin, soothes and relieves burnt skin and cools the skin down. Makes the healing process much faster. Can be slightly sticky and takes a little while to soak in and dry

WARNING DO NOT USE EVER – After some bad Sunburn I applied Banana Boat after sun spray, to most of my upper body. Even my face although it was only slightly burnt, and within 6 hours broke out in raised little lumps, my face was swollen, eyelids and ears very swollen. Terrible! – After slight sunburn we used the after sun aloe spray. This product caused my both my son and daughters skin to go bright red, severe swelling, pain and within hours of taking antihistamines and using a different product, their redness and swelling reduced. Absolute disgusting product.

Rashes everywhere – Sprayed after hours of getting badly sunburnt and within a day I developed a red, itchy, bumpy rash. I discontinued use but it’s been another 24 hours since the rash appeared and it doesn’t seem to be getting better. Show details

Rush all over forearms and hands – My partner has applied BB moisturiser after sun spray for about a week on her forearms and hands, resulting on a extended itching rush. Antihistamines did not help. Not recommended. Show details

Please avoid – Applied BB Aloe mist to my sunburnt face. Result - swollen eyelids and puffy cheeks, irritating rash and itchiness of the skin, tightening and burning of the skin. Do not use. Show details

It Burns! – I am returning the aerosol can and pump spray bottle as it provides NO relief at all and actually burns/stings quite severely! Not good when i applied it to my cheek and neck!

It burns – My mother brought this product for me, after being severely burnt yesterday on a yacht. I’ve been in stinging and burning pain all day. But as soon as I sprayed this stuff on myself, the burning and stinging went to another level. It stung and burnt so much.

Terrible - my child broke out in a rash – My 8 year old son had a bit of sunburn so we used it on his face and arms which caused a reaction with bumps appearing all over areas we applied mist within a few hours. Would not recommend this to anyone. We have now resorted to use paw paw ointment to remove the rash.

It burns and stings! – Never written a review before but this product really doesn’t help. I have used many after sun products before but this is the first one I have used that does the opposite to what it’s meant to do. It stings your skin and makes it even redder than the original sunburn. Maybe it’s the alcohol in it, but there are also a lot of other chemicals. It could just be my skin but I will definitely steer clear of this product.

Never Use – Used the Banana Boat Aloe Vera Gel on 2nd Jan, 2018. Felt almost instantly my skin heating up. No relief what so ever. For the next week at least, was incredibly itching and covered in spots where I had applied. local chemist even recommended this product, which goes to show that there aren't enough people voicing their opinions on it. To be brief: Do Not Use This Product.

Do not use!! – Worst stinging pain within seconds of applying, I have used most sprays before with no issue, this was the aerosol spray gel. I had to wash it off!! Do not use!!!

Horrible – Used this to help sooth slight sunburn from being in the sun for work, within a few hours I was on fire from the stinging and have come up with a rash all over my chest, neck, face, arms and feet. Worse on my face and neck where I used it more. I have never had a reaction to something. This product is horrible.

Banana boat after sun aerosol spray gel burns!!! – I purchased the after sun aerosol gel spray as I had used banana boats after sun non aerosol gel before and found it great. However, within a minute of applying this new product to my sunburn, it was burning my skin worse then before applying. I had to immediately jump into a shower to relieve the pain. Do not apply this aerosol gel to sunburn - I don't and have never had sensitive skin so this was not the issue.

Burning – I purchased Banana Boat 'soothing' Aloe Aftersun Spray Gel. I applied it today and it burned so bad I had to jump in the shower immediately and wash it off. I now feel the stinging worse than before I applied this spray. BIG FAIL Banana Boat

Banana boat after sun spray gel is full of harsh chemicals – I tried to use some bannan boat after sun spray gel but about 5 seconds after applying it to my sunburn it started burning and was hot and painful. I had s look at all the chemicals in it and almost fell over. Don't wast your money on this can of chemicals.

already read and burned skin in what I would describe as the most severe agony I have ever experienced.

My only relief was an ambulance taking me straight to hospital treating me for severe chemical burns on top of sunburn and a morphine drip - the effects of which have only worn off just now 24 hours later.

So now, on hospitals orders, I am covered in bepanthen cream & cling wrap to create a false skin while my severely damaged skin underneath and all the inflamed nerve endings try to heal.

Currently seeking other dissatisfied consumers for class action.

Should be banned! – The "new fast and easy clear spray" version of this is the worst product. Like the previous reviews seconds after applying it starts to burn like hell. Applied it to my 5 year old who was screaming in pain to wash it off. I tried it and it stung but I wasnt as burnt. How this was approved to be sold is beyond me what a joke!

Intense hot burning pain – I also tried the aloe after sun spray gel, and within seconds it was an intense pain that felt like my skin was on fire - far worse than the burn. The pain did subside once the gel was dry, but definitely not worth using again.

Burning! – I Agree I purchased the aerosol spray on lotion version of this product and within seconds i was in immense pain felt like my skin was on fire. I jumped straight in the shower also to rinse off. It left my skin redder than originally.

Terrible – Just bought Banana Boats Aloe after sun spray gel and applied it to my back and within seconds i was burning, felt like my back was on fire. I had to run to shower and wash it off immediately.

Find another product – We sprayed our 10-year-old grandson three times during several hours at beach and he got a blistering burn on back. Totally worthless. Maybe lawsuit time. The spray was rated SPF 50 and designated for kids. Now he is at high risk for skin cancer for his life due this product fail. Banana boat ultra mist bkids tear free...spf.

Do not touch banana boat – My 17 year old son used banana boat sport spf 50+ spray on sunscreen which did not work and he got terrible sunburn ALL OVER his chest. I gave him the Aloe Vera gel to help ease his pain but within 20 minutes he had developed a reaction to this terrible product and was red, itchy and shaking with goosebumps all over his body. race to the pharmacy and get some phenergan to reduce the swelling. I threw out every banana boat product in the house and bought Cancer Council sunscreen to replace it all and have had no problems.

Excellent – I used to use the tubes of after-sun and only bought this one because it was the only one left on the shelve. Wasn't sure about it but it is great. It feels great when you spray it on your skin especially if you have been burnt as it give you a cool mist that hydrates the skin and helps it heal faster and recover quickly. the sting away as well. It does have a refreshing pleasant smell as well. Don't have to rub it into the burnt sensitive skin. Leaves the skin fresh and cool.
