OK – I think I would try different brands of cameras from now on because I was not too happy with this Olympus one that I had bought. I heard that they were ok so I bought one, but after a year or so it has not worked well at all and I don't even use it regularly. It does take a pretty good picture, but even when you want to look back on the image you have captured, it takes a while to do that too. Picture quality is quite good. Slow in taking pictures, runs out of battery easily, after a while it just decided not to work anymore and would turn off randomly even when new batteries were put in.

OK – Alright, but not as good as my previous camera, a Kodak easyshare cx7430. Seems happy to use rechargable batteries and get a reasonable battery life from these. Because of the delay in taking the shots I think that this is better suited to still-life/portraits, and not action shots. Movie mode is silent as there is no microphone. No way to adjust shutter speed. Can review multiple photos in a tiled screen menu.

I consider this a basic entry level digital camera. Easy to operate and great compatibility with PC - didn't even need software. Too much delay between pressing the button and the camera taking the photo. Takes a while to bulk delete the photos from the memory card.

Good – A budget-focused camera with a large 5MP sensor and decent 2.8X zoom. Very compact size ensures it can easily fit into bags and even pockets. Don't expect it to compete with more expensive compact cameras and digital SLRs though. You get what you pay for. Very cheap and compact camera. Has all essential features for making a decent photograph. Olympus Master software is decent for transferring photos. Has a decent 2.8x zoom and a 5MP sensor. Movie mode and anti-shake modes. Built-in 16mb memory. LCD screen is too small for checking photos. Lack of microphone for making movies with sound. Prone to vibrations (blur) when taking long zoom objects. Does not have a rechargeable li-on battery, which may mean higher operating costs.
