I’ve been using this brand for years and honestly wouldn’t switch to anything else. It always leaves my hair feeling soft, clean, and healthy. The quality has been consistent over time, which is rare these days. Definitely one of the best brands I’ve ever tried truly reliable and worth it!
I bought the OC Naturals Coco Repair Shampoo. I was using it for about 3 weeks. I started getting intense itching, flaky scalp and scabs after using. I even started to notice a-lot of hair loss. I stop using the shampoo and after 2 weeks all the above symptoms reduced. I tested the shampoo again and after 1 wash all the symptoms returned even… Read more
worse. My scalp is still a mess, red raw with a few small scabs. I haven’t used any new products apart from this shampoo. I emailed my concerns to the company 07/04/2025, no response. AVOID this product it should be recalled.
I used this shampoo for two weeks, my hair was soft and clean with a nice smell. However my scalp became very itchy and my hair started shedding in the shower and a lot left in my hairbrush much more than usual. I finally twigged it was the shampoo when my husband complained that his scalp was incredibly itchy after using this. Show details

Good scent, may cause oily roots – I have used this for about four years up until recently. It has a nice natural scent that my friends have complimented me on many times. However, my sister had used this the other day and her hair got oily after two days. Mine is usually gets oily after two days but I thought it was my hair type. I think that the shampoo makes it oiler than it should be. I am trying the A’kin one at the moment for volume. Show details
We have been using this brand for well over 14 or so years and would not even look at other brands. Love it – Brilliant soft clean hair. Best brand in my opinion given all the years I've been using it Show details
Ethical, economical – This works really well for me. Free of irritating ingredients. I looked in to it - albeit a while ago but as far as I know things remain the same - it is environmentally friendly, even the bottle is recycled. Show details

New container difficult to hold in shower – Love this shampoo and conditioner but have stopped using it as new container is too slippery now (725ml) please bring back pump pack!
Causes scalp sores and irritation – Found the cause of my scalp issues was this shampoo! I recently brought this shampoo and conditioner again and have had nothing but scalp sores. I couldn’t work out why! I had them before and thought maybe hormones then I thought actually it probably was when I used this shampoo so I thought I’d google to see if there is any link and omg so many… Read more
reviews about it ! Will never buy this again no matter how organic and natural they claim to be.disappointing as it’s Australian
Extremely painful scalp – Perhaps it’s because I’ve been using this product for too long, over 10 years, I have recently developed extremely painful and sensitive scalp. OC Natural, I urge you to conduct more research into your product before selling anymore. Show details

Hair fall out – Have been using for about about 4 months now. Mild hair loss at first & now fall out has increased. Ive been wondering why so researched & find many other people suffering noticeable hair fall out. Show details
Absolutely Awful – My 11 year old had been using this for about a week and was really distressed to find clumps of her hair falling out. She had very thick hair and we are both so upset this has happened. This shampoo and conditioner should be taken off the market it’s clearly not an isolated cause, there are so many with the same experience. We both believed it was… Read more
a natural product but turned out to be a toxic health hazard. I think this company should be compensating people for the damage they caused.
Used to be good now terrible – I have been using this conditioner for a few years. Was cheap and loved it. My latest bottle has been used 3 times and it has made my scalp sore and scabby!. Started using another brand and it has cleared up. Would never use this product again. Show details

JUST DONT, CANNOT STOP ITCHING ALL OVER MY SCALP – Been using this for years, and have had absolutely no issues up until they changed the formula and the design of the bottles. My scalp itches like crazy it’s ridiculous and genuinely painful. The worst brand ever and they hide behind the phrase “organic”. Show details
Always on special - now I know why – This used to be good range. I agree totally with other reviewers about hair getting 'straw' like and possibly falling out. Something changed about 4-6 months ago. Woolies now have it on special most of the time for ridiculously low money, and there's a good reason for it. Flaky scalp is the one i experience, hair loss is hard to tell - possibly. Show details
hair fell out – terrible. hair fell out. this is poison. i cannot believe they are still selling it. how can they get away with causing so many people hair loss ???? i thought my hair was falling out from stress. turns out these people dont care. ive found articles dating back to 2016 where 100s of people are saying the same thing about these products Show details
Made hair fall out – Recently I changed over my shampoo and conditioner to organic care as they advertised they were cruelty free and vegan at an affordable price. Within two weeks of using it I noticed LARGE chunks of hair falling out from my head when I was brushing it. I have thin hair already so possibly my hair is more sensitive but this was beyond normal. I have… Read more
noticed my partners hair also thinning out re affirming my thoughts. I honestly think this product and brand needs their ingredients to be under review. It was completely shocking!
Do not buy you will lose your hair – I started experiencing extreme hair loss it was coming out in balls in my hand after doing some research I found there were hundreds of complaints about this product from hair loss itchy scalp and scabs. There is an ingredient in it that causes this. I believe this is far from organic what a scam! Show details
Changed – I have always been very happy with organic care, lately I have noticed the conditioner is different and is making my hair oily. Unfortunately I will have to find a new conditioner. Show details
Hair rescue – Having lived overseas for years in a climate that provides for regular swimming in pools, Organic Care (normal/dry nourish) has been the only hair range product that ensured continued softness and hair wellbeing. Thank you! Show details
Not SLS-free or organic – Sodium Coco Sulfate may actually contain 40 to 50% Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. It is the name that manufacturers use for a blend consisting of sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium caprylic sulfate, sulfate, sodium stearyl sulfate, sodium oleic sulfate, etc. Sodium Coco Sulfate (SCS), like sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), is another synthetic detergent, a… Read more
synthetic surfactant that creates lots of foamy lather and removes oil and grease. Therefore companies using SCS should not be claiming that their product is "SLS-free."
Better before reformulation – This review is of the Dry Nourish variant that comes in the sand coloured bottles with clear caps. The pre-2020 formulation that came in clear bottles with black caps was in a league of its own. It had a thick yet silky smooth texture, and a scent the likes of which you'd find in a high-end niche perfume. It resembled the kind of shampoos… Read more
supplied at ultra luxurious hotels. In a word, it was SEXY.
Unfortunately, the 2020 reformulation is none of the above. It's now thin and watery, and doesn't wash as well – causing me to dispense a greater amount in order to achieve a satisfactory result. It also now smells like any other generic supermarket shampoo. If you're able to get it on discount at Coles or Woolies, great. Otherwise, opt for the cheaper Aldi knock-off – Nature's Essence Organic Elements Moisture Repair – which I'm almost certain is made by the same people. You'll still feel disappointed, but for less.
On a separate more positive note, the Coco Repair conditioner with KeraDyn is fantastic.

Fantastic! – I have tried cheap products, expensive salon products, oils etc and none of them have worked as well as this shampoo. My hair has stayed clear and smooth for 3 days now which is mental for me, and its a amazing price, not to mention the nice smell. I'm so happy I tried this product and will definitely be buying it again Show details
Great shampoo and conditioner Australian made and owned!!! – Love this shampoo and conditioner the coco repair with Kera Dyn & organic coconut oil. Tried it took the chlorine smells out after the pool. Hair shiny and clean fresh smell but not strong smell of over powering. Thank you to O C Naturals. Show details
Buy this if you want to LOSE CHUNKS OF HAIR – Used this twice and noticed I had a huge amount of hair loss during washing and in between washes, chunks were falling out. It was horrific. My hair is so dry and brittle now. I decided to google the product and came across people complaining of the same thing which led me to put two and two together and I realised my hair falling out was because… Read more
of this product. Do not use it. There's a reason it's $5 a bottle. It's cheap and nasty and will ruin your hair.
OC Natural Colour Shield shampoo/conditioner – This product makes my hair feel so soft after washing it. Ive always used colour shampoos/conditioners but they leave my hair feeling so dry afterwards. This makes my hair feel silky smooth for days Show details
