Fisher & Paykel DW60CDX2 – The settings offered a great variety of short and extensive cycles. Although you really need to give all items a good scrape and scrub before stacking the dishwasher otherwise the dirt, grime or stains just do not remove/come out clean. Which is quite annoying. We tried some of the most expensive dishwashing tablets different finish quantum… Read more

Powerball types, fairy and tried some of the cheaper ones too but it just did not enhance the experience. Even on extensive cycles some of our glassware would not properly dry and any plastics had no chance of drying, they would need to be left in there with the door open to dry out or sit on the bench for a while. We didn't experience any clogs with the dishwasher since we inherited it aug 16 when we purchased out property. Although it did recently break on us, the fix was about half the price of a new dishwasher and we opted for new on this occasion.

Washes dishes and drys them – My grandma has this dishwasher and it's been really good. It's quiet and the feature I like about it is if you have a power cut it will remember where it was up to during the cycle. It has had an burning smell and she got it repaired. This is the recommended dishwasher even for dinner parties.

Wow... Read the bad reviews and I'm Happy with mine – I reckon I've had my F&P Dishwasher for 4-5 years. Until now I haven't had a real problem with it. It's a bit noisy and yes the top drawer will come off the rails occasionally as the stoppers are poorly designed. However for the time I've owned it I've not regretted the decision to buy it and I have never looked at it and thought it's a bit of… Read more

junk.

My door seal has just started to leak so I've done some research to buy a new seal and come across these reviews. I may just buy another Dishwasher instead of stuffing around fixing the seal and I'll certainly consider a F & P again. Works well... Top drawer stoppers are poorly designed.

great dishwasher without a huge price tag – We used this dishwasher everyday for approx 3 months and it worked a treat everytime. All the dishes where clean and we only ever used the economical setting. I would recommend this model as it is very affordable and easy to follow instructions. It is also waterwise. If I had room in the new rental we would still be using it instead of selling it. reliable, inexpensive, waterwise, stainless steel, and easy to use

Lame dishwasher and soggy dishes – I agree with the other reviewers. We spent around a thousand dollars on a dishwasher which leaves the dishes dirty, upends the glasses, and everything comes out wet, even hours later. About 20% of the time, the dishwasher tablet is a wet mess and not dissolved. The thing i can't get my head around is that you can't have more than two dinner plates… Read more

Very bad dishwasher! – Worst dishwasher ever! Seals went after 12 months, doesn't clean well unless you have it in heavy duty mode. Upper swing arm has broke. We owned a Fisher and Paykel washing machine which was great, but this not so much. Good thing that it is discontinued. Very disappointed as it wasn't a cheapie.  Show details

Atrocious, poorly made & even worse performance – Regularly leaves dishes dirty, noisy and has changed our opinion of Fisher and Paykel forever. Whilst we have got exactly 6 years from it we have had 14 from a Westinghouse that was purchased 8 years previous. I would never purchase another Fisher & Paykel White good after having owned this one.

The worst dishwasher ever made – I live in Canada and I bought this dishwasher from a large appliance store. At the time of purchase I was told it was the Cadillac of dishwashers. The dishwasher had numerous problems, resulting in many service calls. It finally came to the point that the service man could no longer repair the dishwasher, and so we were given a new one, as the… Read more

first one was still under warranty. This machine is a beast. The only time it might work well is if we run it on the longest wash setting, and ensure that we constantly have salt in our water softener. If we want out of salt, the dishwasher will not clean a thing. It's constantly flooding, leaking, and it is by far my worst appliance nightmare. After the first dishwasher was replaced I found out that the national appliance store dropped Fisher pickle from their productline because they were getting too many complaints. Steer clear from this beast!

Easily the worst dishwasher I have ever owned – I've owned this dishwasher for about six years and I've probably spent as much on it in spare parts as I what it cost new, not to mention all the time involved and the damage to our kitchen after it leaked a couple of times. I'm now celebrating it's final death and looking forward to purchasing a new dishwasher. Anything except Fisher and Paykel

Worst product ever – Bought out first one a few years back, had it replaced twice. Had the dishwasher repairman out that many times that we're now on a first name basis. That ridiculous E4 message pops up every few weeks. It doesn't wash anything. Will never buy a Fisher and Paykel product ever again.

Terrible – I cannot believe how bad this dishwasher is - the worst I have ever owned. Or used! It hasn't washed properly since first purchased. And even then they often don't come out clean. The washing jets/arms are plastic and flimsy, the water doesn't drain properly from the sump in the bottom. The dishwasher powder or tablets (I keep trying both) often doesn't dissolve. I would never purchase a Fisher & Paykel dishwasher again after this experience. This has been a complete waste of money. I have had previous dishwashers that have worked well for 10 years and longer. In hindsight, I should have just thrown this one out as soon as the warranty expired and bought a new one from another brand.

Awful! – Another vote for world's worst dishwasher (DW60CDX2). Very disappointed as I have had previous Fisher & Paykel products (washing machine, fridge & freezer, another model of dishwasher) with no issues. It's all been said before by the many unhappy customers but I'll add my experience. We are just approaching the end of our 2 year warranty period,… Read more

the "flow meter" has been replaced twice. It is now leaking water again, service technician was here again today- they are now replacing the door seal and a spray arm.

Apart from the repairs required the everyday problems I have observed are: The top shelf falls out constantly, the unit is very noisy, it doesn't really wash adequately unless on Heavy Duty program (over 2 hours-resulting in very worn cutlery/crockery etc.), plastics come out sopping wet, often the door will not close as the top rack has knobs that unlock frequently & jam, the powder often doesn't release, filter needs to be cleaned after every cycle for any hope of clean dishes.

I've already started researching the dishwasher this will be replaced by (I refuse to spend a cent on it after the warranty expires). I notice on the top right of the reviews it states "This page is actively monitored by Fisher & Paykel representatives" - well where are they then??? When reading reviews of other brands the representatives swoop on any negative and practically beg the customer to contact them to discuss the issue further. It would seem even F&P have given up on this awful excuse for a dishwasher! Digital display to see time remaining on cycle Poorly made, just a disaster

Worst Dishwasher we've ever used – Had certified repairman out twice and can't fix E4 error message. Says we use "too much soap" but we used the pre-measured pod. Very Disappointed – Had this for 3 years, it has leaked water for about 1 year, the door seal has gone and i have to replace the whole inner door as the rubber is crimped to the door, the cost is going to be +$270 ($150 part + $120 labour), so i would rather buy a new different type that repair it as it is likely to go again, it also doesn't clean the dishes very well, even on heavy load, which takes about 2 1/2 hours. expensive to repair

At first I was really put off by not getting a new version of my original model but then I read this review. I have a F&P fridge & washing machine, they work as expected. We have 2 F&P fridges, a washing machine and dryer and have had no major problems (one of the fridges is 13 years old). This dishwasher is not even made by F&P, but made in China. If this is a reflection of their products now I won't be buying another one again.

I wish I had found this site before I bought it! I am off to the shops to buy a relacement (don't even bother calling F&P for warranty support - it's pointless). Looks Good. to be replaced twice and the rubber insulation around the door has peeled off. All this from a 2 year old machine. Fisher and paykel took built in obsolescence to a new height with this dishwasher. A big cheerio to Sammy the service guy who fixed it every time it died. It was silver once. Simply it did not wash anything unless we used the "heavy duty" setting. This meant our dishes and pots were subjected to enormous heat all the time and their life time was reduced considerably. Arms are continually clogged, top tray drops down, rubber around the door has broken meaning every time you try to push the bottom tray in it gets jammed.

Being able to see how long the cycle has to go is a great idea. Choice of wash cycles is good too although we usually just use the normal cycle which takes just under 2 hours. never worked well and was replaced under warranty. The second one isn't much better. It doesn't clean well, top rack is very flimsy and does not close properly onto the rear water supply spigot unless you carefully jiggle it about. If you don't the top washer arm hardly works. Takes twice as long to wash as my ten year old Dishlex and doesn't clean as well. The front panel on every machine I have seen is ill aligned. Top rack side plasic fold down racks catch on door seal. Top rack a little difficult to pack well, as glasses don't fit very well next to bowls. Bowl fingers don't extend all the way to the front of the rack.
