Might die waiting – Have tpd insurance through one-path,haven't worked in over 18 months and cannot ever due to serious injury, still waiting on a TPD claim to be decided. I think they figure hold off as long as they can ,as death payout is cheaper :(. They never call with updates, have submitted about 100 doctors and specialists reports, yet apparently still not enough Total lack off consultation,no updates, ridiculous waiting times.

Money wasted on this insurance policy!!!!!!!!!!! – I had Trauma insurance cover included in my Life Insurance. Had my right thumb partially amputated after a major blood poisoning.I contacted "OnePath" by mail, phone and e mail to make a claim and was told that I need to lose my whole hand to be eligible. Every other contact I made with "OnePath" was ignored.I cancelled my policy in writing but… Read more

money is still disappearing monthly from my account. I'm fed up with this and also very upset and anxious.I couldn't work for 3 months and as a self employed I have no more money to spend on this scheme. I'm contacting other authorities to help me as I'm tired of the fact that some company is making money of me knowing my situation."OnePath" is truly one path only.

Total ignorance and and laughing in my face after I went through a major injury. Inability to help , not making any contact with me and still taking direct debit money from my account after written cancellation of my policy

Never use them again – I will never use Onepath again. I wanted to make a claim in my inome protection just to find out that i cannot. Reason being that I did not have a loan with ANZ. It was never made clear to me. Their excuse was that I needed to have an underwriter review my policy. Sounds like the tongue of a snake to me!! Deceitful

Be careful – Didn't realise they would automatically renew my policy and only realised a month later. They cancelled my policy but I'm still out of pocket over $90. And I signed up with ING, not Onepath. automatic renewal. Didn't even know insurance companies could do this.

Don't choose onepath – Like many others here I was registered with ING who seemed reasonable. Then suddenly I got a letter saying that it was now onepath. Mid January 2012 my car got written off when another (uninsured) car drove through a red light into it. I spent 1.5 hours on the phone standing in the Darwin monsoon after the accident and still did not manage… Read more

to successfully submit a claim, in fact struggled to get advice as to where I should tow it to. I received a number of inconsistant answers.

The next day after work I tried again, another long wait got me through to QBE after hours number. Managed to submit a claim.

Two days later called Onepath again to check they had the claim sorted. No claim! Another long phone call to resubmit the claim.

Another two weeks later and another phone call: should be processed soon, we just need an email with your bank account details and certification of car ownership. Sent two days later.

Its now been about 5 weeks without any further contact and certainly no money. I called them up: oh you'll need to pay the excess and we're waiting on your bank account details (but we have your certification which was in the same email!). When pressed for more information he advised that my claim manager would call me back. Still no phone call.

Needless to say, my next car has not been insured with them...

Bad service, takes a long time, hard to get hold of anyone, not cheaper than any other

Worst car insurance I have ever encountered! – The long of it is detailed below, the short of it is: stay away, not worth the hassle, confusion and mucking around. They should do the round around for you, but they don't...however they sure will give you the run around! I took out a policy with ING after purchasing a used car which was financed for quite a significant amount. To cover this… Read more

loan amount, I wanted a higher agreed value than most insurers were prepared to offer. I had heard great things about ING, so I was most pleased to see an offer for agreed value even higher than I needed/wanted. The premium was a little dearer than other companies, but for the peace of mind I decided it was worth it. Well...

I received a letter a few months later saying the company had merged/become 'OnePath insurance', a company of ANZ underwritten by QBE...didn't sound too bad.. and it wasn't- until I made a claim!

Another vehicle reversed into my car whilst it was stationary at a car park. All involved were comprehensively insured, however the other party were quite rude and unhelpful...so rather than waiting for them to put a claim through their insurance, I rang OnePath. After asking me all the usual details, they informed me that until the other party admitted liability I would be liable for the excess. I asked 'how long' until they expected that would be, and was told I would have to ring the other party's insurance to inform them of the incident so that their insurance company could follow it up with them, and after that their insurance would ring OnePath... riiiggghhhttt.

So I did as they asked, only to have the other insurance company (whom, may I add, is very reputable) inform me that they could not do anything until the other party (the driver at fault) called them to report the incident- luckily they did. And then they called me with their reference number. I rang OnePath with this information, only to be told that I needed their unique reference number and that the other company's was irrelevant (this does make sense), AND that I would have to call back the other party and their insurer with this new reference number! I was told that after I did those things I could go ahead and get my car fixed if I wanted to, but that I would have to pay the excess if the repairs were completed before any liability was admitted and that it would be refunded to me at a later date once such liability had been established. Stuff that- so I waited, and waited, and waited...finally I received a phone call from an (08) area code telephone number, upon returning the call I was greeted with 'Hello, Western QBE [insert suburb of Perth] branch, so-and-so speaking, how may I help you'? How she could indeed help me stumped both of us. Eventually we discovered that OnePath is underwritted by QBE and that QBE owns Western QBE, and I was transferred (somehow) to the Anz Claims department. I was told that the other party at fault had admitted liability and that I should now have my car repaired and the excess would be waived.

2 days before my car was due to be picked up from the panel shop, the repairer called and said that they had received written notification from OnePath that they were to collect the excess on completion of the repair prior to returning the car to me. So I called OnePath back again.

Rang the OnePath number, call answered with 'welcome to ANZ', explained situation, told I needed to be transferred to the 'OnePath claims section'...transferred and greeted with 'Hello, QBE this is [name removed]! Anyway was assured that the letter my repairer had received was a 'computer error' by the 'assesor team', that he would notify/rectify with the repairer and I could pick the car up on schedule.

Arrived to collect car, informed by repairer that no such correspondance had been received and that I would have to pay the excess, otherwise they would get the 'please explain' from OnePath as to why they did not collect the excess amount. The lovely lady at the repair shop called OnePath, they asked her to identify herself and she was told by them that she was not listed as an 'authorised repairer' with OnePath. She informed them that she has a huge (it is huge, I saw it) official sign above her shop door that says 'QBE Approved repairer'. The response from the operator was 'well, that may be the case but you are not approved by US'. They continued to argue about who exactly 'US' is/were, (because we were all still baffled at this point, after weeks of speaking with operators who identified themselves differently.

After speaking with a supervisor, the situation was rectified 2 Hours later and I took my car home. That same evening I rang and cancelled my policy. I was told that I was not entitled to and would not receive a refund for the remaining month on my policy premium.

Would you beleive that they then had the audacity to send me a 'Renewal invitation' at the date my policy would have expired!? Well they did, and the agreed value on my car had gone down by $4700 and the premium had gone up by nearly $40 per month! Needless to say, it went straight into the rubbish. Their insurance is rubbish. Oh, and don't get scammed into redeeming your 'pride points' (rewards program) either, because once you have paid $1200 to get $18 worth of points to redeem on a $5 set of coffee mugs, they will slug you $12-$20 in postage to send you the silly cups!

It's not until you need to claim that you really see an insurance company's true colours...and the ones I saw painted a pretty ugly picture! Steer cleer of this mob.

expensive, bad customer service, too many departments (where the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing!), unreliable...

Terrible – I was with ING insurance for our vehicles and this was bought by onepath so we were automatically rolled over!~ I found ING really good. But onepath are terrible. I phone about a month ago to advise my credit card number had changed due to it expiring. I thought this was done. I now receive a letter today to say the credit card was not working/… Read more

charging. So i phoned. Got a rude [name removed] on the phone to tell me that my insurance was cancelled. I advised i had phoned and given my new credit card number. She then asked the name of whom i spoke to! No idea. Anyway, i told her to leave it cancelled. I then phone suncorp who beat the car insurance prices by $100s and i am happier than ever with MUCH better service. Wont be looking at one path again Price was good..... now they have increased their premiums and they are too expensive Alot, call centre is terrible complete with Rude staff. Incompetent staff also.

Terrible terrible terrible – Was previously very happy with ING insurance. As many customers have said, they were great, friendly and well priced. Unfortunately everything One Path isn't. 6 weeks after having a car written off we are still awaiting payout. Very quick to increase our premium from $370 to $589 pre accident (not at fault) but will do everything and anything… Read more

to avoid payment. The panel beater said he will never deal with them again after undermining his assessment (which I might add was correct 1st time around). Also expected us to pay for our hire car upfront........then it will be assessed whether they will cover it....we have hire car within our policy!!!

Just a complete joke of a company. I would move heaven an earth to steer peopel clear of these guys. Shocking.

Rude assessors, Customer service unhelpful,

Incompetent and rude – I have an ongoing claim with Onepath for the past 5 months. Not once have they called me to update me on my claim. In fact it is only that I have been ringing them that steps were taken to recover my excess otherwise it would still be sitting there collecting dust. The staff are rude and incompetent. They obviously hate their jobs. I still… Read more

haven't gotten my excess back and they say it will take another 2 months.

I don't mind the wait for the money, I understand recovery takes time BUT it is the lack of customer service that is appalling. I have been told 8 times by staff that someone will call me back within 48 hours. Of course no one did. Even when I made a complaint the manager only rang me after I had written another follow up email.

Never again. I can't wait for my insurance to be up and I am taking my money elsewhere. Not one thing Bad customer service, incompetent and rude staff

Terrible – So far, I am not impressed. It was a Saturday morning and I crashed my car. I tried to call ING's "24/7" claims line and while the call connected it would then disconnect 7 seconds later. At 4.30pm (5.5 hours later –I had to leave my car on the side of the road and get a taxi home) when it finally went through, I selected through to make an… Read more

emergency claim where I was on hold for 15 minutes, then it started to ring, and I waited (foolishly) for someone to pick up for 10 minutes. So after this 30 minute phone call going nowhere, I tried again and this time made a different selection and ended up getting the number for QBE emergency claims. This took me though to an answering service where the woman advised me they are closed all she could do is take my details and give me ‘emergency assistance’ in the way of a phone number for a towing company. The towing company couldn’t even tow my car because it was still at the accident scene.

What a terrible, terrible service. I have been in tears for most of the day at the sheer frustration of not having any help available to me. the girl whose car I hit was with AAMI. She called them and was told it would all be sorted before I even got back to my house.

Once this is over, I will most certainly be switching companies. none yet. cheapest quote is all so far. NO EMERGENCY CLAIM SERVICE

Terrible – Its a big regret to buy 1 yr policy with this insurer. This is the hardest insurer for me to claim ever. It takes 3 months before my car fixed. Cheap Insurance company, Cheap Services!!!! Easy to apply online They don't give any policy hand book. Very hard to claim even if its not your fault. You wait for an hour before somebody answer your call. They gave back to you all the responsibility to chase the fault party.

Terrible – Now had the car deemed a total loss due to malicious damage. I have been given the run around. Long waiting on the phone to speak to someone about the claim. No longer have a car and the kids are not going to school. The insurance company is investigating us as the cause of this damage. But we did not cause it, because we know that without a… Read more

car we can't get the kids to school, my wife is disabled and finds it hard to get around. The bus cost us $20 just to get buy some food for dinner and the council wonder why the public don't like to catch public transport. So no I am waiting for the insurance company to get back to us, it's now been 4 weeks. Will have to ring them again so sick of this. None. Cheapest quote by far. Been with them for 3 years now. No emergency claim service on weekends or public holidays. Even for a simple windscreen replacement.

Bad – The true worth of insurance is not the cheapest quote, not the easy to use website, but the service you receive after making a claim. Service from ING was poor and I will seek out another insurer. My renewal quote is about 30% more, but when I checked it online was $100-200 cheaper than the renewal notice. Prices were competitive when I first… Read more

signed up. The call centre service lets them down. I had to make a claim regarding a theft and was put on hold, answered by an off-shore call centre and was given advice on who to fax my info to and given what I though was a claim number. After a week of waiting I called back and was told I had been given the wrong info, I did not have a claim number being processed and to call another number. I made several more calls before someone finally resolved the issue.

Price has increased more than 30% on my renewal.

I hate them and they overcharged me!!! – I used to be with ING Car Insurance, that was great, customer service was good no dramas, and pricing was reasonable. Then I get a letter in the mail telling me they had changed to One Path and that my insurance went from $80 to $130 per month... basically the letter its self tells me this is what is going on, and if you dont like it tough you… Read more

need to waste your time to call us and cancel... There is no option to ring them to keep your policy, they just assume you will.

So I eventually changed car insurance providers when I worked out I could be paying like $70 for a new policy else where and that even includes a hire car!

So the dramas happened when I tried cancelling my policy, firstly the idiot I spoke to was extremley rude and unhelpful, and then when she asked me why I was cancelling (may i add I had never made a claim in the 2 or so years I had my policy with them) I told her it was too expensive, and why are they punishing drivers who dont make a claim. She was just like tough luck kind of thing!

So after cancelling the policy and being told that I would need to pay $18 for the unused days of policy I said fine, just cancel it. Then I asked for a copy of the policy to be sent to me, so I can send it to the new insurance people for my rating... they said yes, 5-10 days, and would not email it or fax it. She said it had to be mailed out. 5-10 days went passed and nothing. I ring up, and get told it wasnt even put on the system for it to be mailed out and also it can be emailed straight away...

So, then I check my account when purchasing petrol this morning and oh I cant pay for my petrol because One Path took out another $130 on a cancelled policy. Luckly I had some cash... So After ringing them this morning to ask what the [censored word removed]? I spent 30 mins on the phone, placed on hold several times to be told, that they had already issued a credit for some money (but never went into my account) and that she doesnt know, and she has to call me back in 2 days. So here I am $130 out of pocket because these people are clearly incompetent.

Not worth the stress, or the money wasted.. Fair enough if I was paying more for a premium easy to use service... but this is a piece of crap.

horrible, imcomptent staff, debited money they shouldnt have, cant give you an answer, cant even do their jobs,

They quoted me $2500 and i am currently paying $900... go figure.

Good – I've been with ING for over 2 years now and haven't had issues. Their premiums are relativly low compared to other insurance companies. Especially if you do it online. I am yet to make a claim myself but I did get my partner onto them shortly after I joined and he has made a few claims and hasn't had any issues. Recently his car was stolen and he… Read more

had to make a claim for that but they were fine. They did take a while to pay out but I guess they had to investigate it properly. Bur not once did they accuse us of doing a dodgy in order to get out of paying like I know some insurance companies do. It was a pretty hassle free claim. Defintaly will be staying with ING Cheap premiums. Easy to apply online. Nothing so far

OK – i'have been impressed with them the way they handled my car repair after a crash. the Car was fixed within 3 weeks form mkaing a claim. Only problem i found is that their claims department aren't open on weekends, meaning if you have a accident on weekend you are stuck! Easy online application. Cheap premiums. friendly customer service. no claim service on weekend
