Washing Machine Worth Your Money – I'm reviewing this without reward. We had the machine for a few years yet and it seems working great in general. It just needs maintenance cleaning to keep it from some odour occurrence. ~Generally I wash clothes in mixed if they are not all whites. ~Wash woollen clothes and throw rugs using the wool cycle setting. ~Delicates are in great care so… Read more ·  1

far. ~Only the "Express setting" of 15 minutes that you need to use a "Spin setting" for 8 minutes extra to squeeze if the washed clothes are still wet than normal cycle results. ~Only the spin setting is noisy, noisy enough to wake up someone light sleeper.

Our Bosch just died too...8 years old – Wow wish I had read this BEFORE I had paid a technician $105 to tell me the motor had gone and that it would cost $400 for a new motor, we also bought ours 8years ago, looks like the average life span for this model, I was very happy with this machine for the 8years but I did expect it to last a bit longer...

Spider Arm Has Come Away From The Drum – Our front loader recently had a huge bang, set off the safety house switch and now we find the spider arm has come away from the drum. This seems to be a recurrent problem of the front loaders when looking at posts. Is there any responsibility that Bosch takes for this problem? I would have expected our machine to last longer than 6 years. Our previous Asko lasted for 10!!

Very disappointed with Bosch washing machine - 4 breakdowns in 7 years – Bought in Feb 2008, had E 2 error and needed carbon brush replaced in June 2010, just out of warranty, has had E 2 error twice since, about every 18 months and required carbon brushes replaced. Has now had E2 error again today, Sep 2015. Brushes are difficult to get to and take a long time for repairman to replace. Spent $1300 expecting to get a… Read more

premium machine that would last 10 years. Also gets mould in detergent area that constantly needs cleaning even though I leave it open between washes. Four breakdowns in 7 years, very disappointed....

Wouldn't buy another Bosch – Bought a bosch and paid the premium expecting hassle free longevity...Been about 4-5 years, had repairmen in 3 times, now it's gone again and looks like its the bushes or the circuit board...Off to buy a mainstream bran at a more reasonable price...not what I expected and I can't recommend it on any level...

Would not buy another bosch – I, like a previous reviewer have had a problem with mould on the seals, virtually from new. Looks disgusting and is a worry as we have a few family members with allergies. Also the gunk on the inside of the seal is horrible. I do dry the seals after each wash and leave the door open so no moisture builds up but to no avail. My friends have… Read more

never had this problem with their brand machines. It also doesn't wash very well if the load is quite large. For a $1200.00 machine, it is not worth it. Apart from the above problems, it hasn't broken down at all. Expensive, mouldy seals, pasty yuk under the inside of seal.

Beware of Mold is a health Hazard – We have had our machine for a few years now and so far have not had a problem with the washing - except for the from door seal that has developed a large dirty black moldy mark in the groove and on the surface of the the seal early in the life of the machine. When inspecting the seal it was difficult to remove that mold being careful that… Read more

substances that may affect rubber was not used and then when the seal closest to the drum is lifted there was found a pile of dirty sludge that is rather disgusting. After the last wash and all clothes remused, the seal has been wiped dry but still the mold has formed. This machine is supposed to clean clothes but mold causes health problems with numerous people with various risks. Machine has performs well over the approx 5 years being used every day in the week. The seal forms mold which is a health hazard, is difficult to remove and leaves a dirty black mark.

Don't bother – We've had ours for just on five years and it's now up for its second computer board. Thankfully the first time it was covered under extended warranty but this time it's not. I wouldn't recommend this machine to anyone and needless to say I'm really disappointed with the quality of it.

In Love – I am amazed how good this machine is, at the time of writing this review it is 5.3 years old and not a problem. We wash 4 - 5 times per week every week. We have a Bosch st/steel fridge also and thats just as good. If the machine where to die from this point on I am pleased with its run and would replace with another Bosch without hesitation.… Read more

Reliable some settings auto select very hot water which one needs to remember to re-select a lower temp to prevent cotton shrinkage.

Love this machine! – Fantastic machine - well worth the money! We have had ours for just about 3 years and never had a problem with it. I jam it full of towel and have to literally shove the door shut (not recommended I might add) and it still washes perfectly! Very happy with this machine!! Never had a problem!

Good – Great machine. Was our first front loader and I done a lot of research. The normal cotton cycle, which I use eveyday is only an hour long. We are a family of five (3 children) and it suits us fine. Great Wash! Quickier than I thought. Lots of programs Only a touch noisey on spin cycle.

Terrible – Whatever you do please please DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE OR ANYTHING ELSE BOSCH. I would hate to think of anyone else being in this position especially seeing as this machine is not cheap (it cost me 900 dollars from the Good Guys). Absolutely apalling customer service. I am 7 months pregnant and have been using a laundromat for the last 11 days.… Read more

Despite multiple calls to Bosch I have had no joy with actually getting anyone to come and fix my washing machine. The staff in the service and parts department of their customer service centre will promise to discuss things with their manager (as they cannot actually sort anything out themselves) and never call you back. Everytime you call them you will repeat this cycle. We are chucking ours in the bin and buying a Miele.

This is quite simply THE WORST WASHING AMCHINE EVER CREATED. Washed well for 2 and a half years. Ceased to function after just 2 and a half years due to the 'motherboard' i.e. the electrical operating system of the machine completely malfunctioning. Following calling an engineer out (who was reccomended by Bosch customer service and charged us 117 dollars for the privilege) we have been told it will cost around least 500 dollars for a new motherboard plus 100-200 dollars labour. Also the pump and the door lock may apparently also be faulty which if this turns out to be the case will be an additional costto fix. Bosch customer service are refusing to help with costs despite the machine obviously being a dud.

Glad i changed from using a top loader! – So far no probs at all! have large family including 2 tradesmen and young ones. wash about 3-4 loads every day! this is a real workhorse. i had constant problems with previous top loaders and was talked into trying a front loader. have never regretted it. takes a lot longer of course, but does such a better job at washing and saving us lots… Read more

of water. i only use cold wash and top quality wash powder and it does a great job. gentle cycles are fantastic. i have even washed ties and polyester suits in it with great results. i purchases the extra warranty but so far no problems with this machine. Love the 15min quick cycle for little things and the handwash cycle also.

Terrible – Would not buy a noisy machine again. Afterall, a better value for money washin machine which last me 6-8 years and half the price is certainly a better buy for me next time round. Just like any other machine, it simply wash and clean. When it comes to spinning, it sounds like a plane taking off. It reminds me of the little King Air jet plane… Read more

taking off. It really annoys me, especially when I try to watch my favourite TV programme. Just cannot stand the noise. A soft clothes or a gentle towel would come out as rough as a piece of sandpaper. Very rough indeed. Have to use double dose softener

Bad – THe machine has just stopped working. I am concerned that like the previous reviewer it might be the motherboard. Luckily it has 3 months left on its 3 year warranty. does not look good.

Plan of attack is to get it fixed for free under warranty , keep it for a year while saving to buy a top loader to replace it with.

I will keep you informed as to what happens.

BTW we have never had any door problems but I have always been careful with the door as from reading previous posts on this machine. HAs been a good machine for 2 and a half years. Takes longer then a top loader

Excellent – We have had it for 4 months now and were wondering if it would wash as well as our old F&P top loader - its much better! So much quieter than the F&P and uses lots less water. It is much more gentle on clothes than a top loader. Washes brilliantly, extemely quiet (even during spin - make sure its installed correctly!) Very water efficient Just that on high soin speeds towels come out very flat - but quite dry!

Good – I have found this washer to be good and works well. I managed to get it on sale and felt the price was reasonable. We have the slightly older model (not the eurowasher) but similar features and have had it for nearly 12 months without an issue. I love the 15 minute cycle for a quick wash of a few things and the extra rinse option. The spin cycle… Read more

is really great as it really dries out the clothes which was so much better than our old 800spinner. easy to follow the programs. this spin cycle can be a little noisy, but we have an outdoor laundry. However it is not bad. I tend to use cold water as it is shorter cycle and sometimes if i overfill the washer the soap powder clings to some dark cotton t-shirt.

Excellent – Great machine. Has handy extra features that really to work well, e.g. express 15min wash, extra rinse cycle, prewash and stain wash, delicates ect. Average cotton wash goes for about 1hr 20min or less. Price was excellent, cheaper than other brands. I wash for a family of five so it is getting well tested. Easy to load, does an excellent wash. Uses little water and I only use a quarter scoop of wash powder with great results.

Excellent – I am very pleased with our purchase of this Bosch machine, and it washes very well. I would recommend a Bosch to other buyers. I read lots of reviews on all models of front loading washing machines and studied them & compared models at local stores. One store recommended an Electrolux or Fischer & Paykel machine. But on this website I found… Read more ·  3

good reviews for Bosch machines. After a week of comparing I settled on this Bosch. It's my first front loading machine, as my previous machine was a Simpson top loader which I found very good. I chose this front loading Bosch machine because of its water and energy efficiency and good reviews I had read and received from other stores. I bought this machine on 1st Feb 2008 and have been using it for almost 7 weeks a couple of days a week. I have found this machine washes our clothes very well, and even though the towels etc come out different to the top loading machine we had I cant say they are hard or like sandpaper like some people have mentioned. I dont use any fabric softener at all and have found all our clothes, including towels dry well and are not at all like sandpaper and show no hardness at all. The spinning noise does sound like a jet, but when the laundry door is closed I can barely hear it. The machine is no louder than my old top loading machine. The washing procedure is in fact quieter than our old machine and when I first got the new machine I had to keep looking in the laundry to see if it was actually washing. I have no cons so far for this machine, apart from the fact you have to bend down to load and unload when I was used to a top loading machine before.

Excellent – I love this machine, it's my first top loader and I splurged a bit to get a good brand after reading the reviews on this site. Just by touching other brands in the shop you can feel their cheapness. For me, it's all about build quality. Capacity, build quality, awesome washing results, layout of knobs/buttons, quietness, asthetics. The instruction… Read more

booklet was terrible. Lots of pretty diagrams but lacking descriptions of diagrams. It would be nice to open the door after it's been started, but that's coming from someone who's so used to a top loader! Everything else is great.

Good – I am quite pleased with the washer overall. Its pros outweigh its cons, but I'm slightly dissapointed that it wastes energy in its 'OFF' mode as I was hoping to purchase a highly energy efficient machine. Cleans clothes and bed linen very well. Has good energy and water ratings. After drying towels in the sun, they feel as rough as sandpaper. … Read more

When not in use and set to 'OFF' the washing machine still uses upto 10W of power. This is more than an energy efficient light bulb being left on all the time.

Have to keep cleaning out the rubber rim after every wash to ensure mold doesn't build up.

Excellent – We are really happy with this machine. We have had an asko for the last 15 years and have just changed over after it stopped broke down. After unsuccessfully purchasing another german machine recently and having loads of trouble and returning it, this is a delight. I would recommend Bosch washing machines. Everything. it is simple to use. it washes well. it is quiet. The variety of programmes is sufficient and very easy to operate.
