OK – Until I can capture and edit the video footage, it is really not of much use to me. I paid AUD60 for the JVC USB Driver disk. How can I get Windows to recognise it for capturing purposes? Email: wayzan@lizzy.com.au It suits my purposes just fine. The video footage is excellent. I look forward to having a long filming relationship with it. Being able to film close up is a real bonus. My PC (XP Home) refuses to recognise the camcorder and will not let me capture the footage, yet it will download stills from the memory card. Windows keeps saying an error occurred during installation. I tried the suggestions about 16-bit and 800x600, yet that made no difference.
Excellent – Having purchased it from Harvey & Norman for just over $1200.00, it has never given any problems and would without a doubt hold strong appeal to many novice camcorder users. Very good operating system as it allows immediate capturing upon opening LCD screen Easy to operate and experienced no problems capturing to Windows Media player or Roxio DVD suite. For the money, and given number of options for a fairly tidy unit, the only thing I dislike about it is like many other camcorders, is the battery life. But hey, for general filming of special moments and events, no need to complain too much.
