this Nivea sensitive cream is by far the best, and unbelievably the cheapest! I would recommend you use a brush and bowl for application but it only takes a small dollop to work into a thick lather in only 30 seconds. I find I have experienced far fewer nicks using this cream and my skin afterwards feels great. I actually purchased this tube about 9 months ago but was using a disposable razor and no brush/bowl and at the time did not like it all. This was all due to user error though and if used as intended is a fantastic shave soap. Highly recommend for safety/DE razors but I wouldn't use it with a Gillette/shick disposable as I found it would "goop" up with whatever it is they put in the lubricating strips on them.
