potatoes for perfect french fries and chips. It is simply impossible to use this plastic device to slice raw peeled potatoes like they do in the ads. The only way that will work is if you boil the potatoes first (something they don't tell you in the ad).

Another thing that doesn't work is slicing tomatoes. Your average tomatoes (even romas) will simply not fit in this thing. No, you need to cut the tomato into halves or quarters before it fits and don't even think about trying it unless the tomato is under ripe and firm.

There is a reason why you can't buy this in shops - they would be over-run with customers seeking refunds. The ad was impressive. The TV ad is simply misleading. The price is absurd. It does not work.
