Catsan Smart Pack Super low maintenance but pricey – Interesting alternative to other types of cat litter. There are white chalky rock-type litter on top of an absorbent liner kind of like a puppy pad / nappy. Cat pee gets absorbed… mostly by the liner, but also by the litter on top. No scooping required for pee. You still need to scoop poo. My cat likes to dig in the litter box and I thought he would shred the liner but this liner was quite strong and he ripped through a bit of the top layer but there was no mess as he didn't get through all layers. Odour control was excellent initially, but by day 7 (with 1 cat) you could smell some ammonia and the litter would need changing. Changing litter is super easy you just grab the liner and throw the whole lot in the bin. First day or two I thought the litter on top repelled all moisture and that all pee was going down into the liner. However by the end of the week as the liner filled up, more and more moisture would get absorbed by the litter instead, and you would notice a colour change from white to light tan in the litter. Litter was a little bit dusty but fairly good compared to many other types of litter we've tried previously. It tracks a little and if you happen to step on a piece of litter it can be crushed into a fine chalky powder. I think this product is perfect if you need to go away on a trip and ask someone to cat-sit for you. They would only need to scoop poos and it's easy to change the litter. However it can be a little pricey to use this litter every day. |

Breeders Choice Cat Litter No dust! – Tried many types of cat litter, previously always preferred the clumping types but we have ended up using this one. Virtually no dust, my cat doesn't have asthma attacks with… this litter. This is important. Minimal tracking. Those pellets that do track are easy to sweep up. I don't seem to have the same problem as other reviewers who mention tracking of very small paper particles. I do not need to vacuum. I cannot say the same thing about any other litter I've tried so far. Cleanup is pleasant. Yes, it can be difficult to try and remove all the used pellets without throwing out too many of the unused ones. But the pellets are tidy, they don't generate dust, they don't stick to the scoop or box, so the scoop and box are much easier to clean. I usually just spray diluted vinegar and wipe off with half a paper towel and that's it. No scrubbing. Good odour control. Not the best in the market but it's good for urine, less good for poo. Note that you can reduce the odour of your cat's business by changing its diet (e.g. raw food), which works for us. Reasonably priced, and available everywhere. Negatives: Cat prefers the texture/smell of most other litter types. He does not like Breeder's Choice. But he still uses it. You can go through a bag of litter quickly depending on your scooping style (pick out used bits or toss it all) |

Green Cat Natural Clumping Litter Good alternative to clay clumping litter – After reading bronnchan's review of Green Cat Litter I decided to try it. This is the first fine-granule corn/wheat litter that we've tried, so I cannot comment on how it compares… to Oko or WonderWheat etc. I agree with bronnchan on rating these aspects of the litter: Appearance, lightweight, etc 5/5: looks and smells like breakfast cereal, easy to carry Odour control 4/5: pee odour control good, poo less so. Clumping 5/5: I have never seen ball-shaped clumps before with any litter. For us it stuck to the bottom of the box just like all the others. However the clump was taller than most I've seen and well formed and easily separated from unused litter. I cannot comment on flushability as I bin the used litter rather than flushing. For economy I would give it 4/5. It seems very economical at first but I found that on the second week it was disintegrating into dust quite quickly and I was going through the rest of the bag quicker. Perhaps humidity may have something to do with it as I am near the coast. Having said this the litter is not expensive to buy. The dust did cause issues for my cat (asthma). This litter tracks a lot as it's so lightweight. I found it tracks about the same amount as Catlux. You will be vacuuming. My bag of litter said it was made in Austria (yes, in Europe). It is named "Green Cat" but I am not sure how environmentally friendly it is to ship cat litter across the world. Overall I'd say it's pretty good as far as clumping litters go, better odour control than clay, reasonably priced, but if tracking and dust are important issues for you then it's probably not the product you want. |

Appliances Online Great price, on time, no hassles – Great price for the washing machine. I'm sure you could get similar prices at other retailers but you'd need to go through the hassle of price matching/haggling with them.… Appliances Online prices are already at their most competitive and delivery is already included, no hidden extras. I was able to select my delivery date online, and request connection of the washing machine (and removal of old one if required). Email confirmation had clear information about what to expect on the delivery day. On delivery day customer service called me in the morning to advise a 2 hour timeframe. Then I also got a courtesy call from the delivery guys about 45 mins before arrival. The delivery guys were courteous, friendly and amazingly efficient. They negotiated a narrow doorway and steep stairs with zero complaints. They connected my machine, checked I was happy with it and showed me everything was in working order before leaving and taking away all the rubbish with them. I would have no hesitation buying from Appliances Online again in future. |

Tiffany OVT01 Excellent – I had this oven for more than 3 years and it is extremely good as there is virtually no preheat time required, food cooks fast and evenly due to the fan and the glass bowl is easy… to clean. I don't use the actual built in oven in my kitchen at all. I do agree with the reviewer Connie who said there is electrical cord danger. The cord on mine is now failing after 3+ years. But I wind up the cord (which I shouldn't) every time I store the oven and sometimes the cord can get quite close to the hot lid by accident. I am going to get a replacement and be more diligent about keeping the cord safely away from heat or kinks and hopefully it will last longer. It can be tricky to find baking dishes and trays that fit in this oven due to the small size. Don't even bother with muffin tins, they won't fit - use individual silicone cupcake moulds instead - but I find medium round cake tins are OK. |
