  Verified Everyday Market from Woolworths

Everyday Market is Excellent – I've had good service from the Everyday Market vendors. I've bought everything from large items of furniture to sweets to kitchen gadgets. Delivery has been fast every time. I

am only leaving this review because of all the ones claiming they couldn't get refunds or returns and all the goods are rubbish.

It's simply not true. Picture is my latest buy, a cat ladder. Even nicer in real life than it looks in pic, sturdy and easy to assemble. Ordered late on Wednesday 8th Jan 2025. Estimated delivery 13-20 Jan. Arrived Monday 13th January 2025.

I've been refunded, (only necessary once with a faulty item, an essential oil diffuser with remote, 6 months old), just by taking photos of the problem, no return necessary. I bought 2 more if same product and had no problems with them.

I've also dealt with same companies on other sites with no problem: if item needs return, they issue a returns email, I take it with item to post office. They receive item. Refund issued.

Because once I spend $50 with Woolworths market partners I usually get free delivery, it's often worth it to buy even for a few dollars more at EM rather than buying same item from another retailer's market partners, as not everyone does free delivery over a certain order value. Many items are exactly same price on WW as say Bunnings but Bunnings don't do free delivery. Some of the cheapest items I've bought, only added to bring my order up to $50, have proved excellent quality and a great buy.

I have noticed a lot of hate directed at the market partners on all sites who offer them (supermarkets, other retailers, and online only places like Kogan), usually coupled with rage because items have to be ordered and aren't in stock at retailers.

As delivery rarely takes more than a few days, and I get the convenience of the item at my door, for me it's not usually a problem. If I want the item now, I simply find someone who does stock it. Screaming at the market partners or retailer's staff isn't going to change anything.

Regarding getting a good result when trying to return or complain about goods. This is general advice, and concerns companies selling in Australia only. It doesn't matter if they're based overseas, if they're selling here (via Australian sites with .au on end, whether Woolworths, Bunnings , Kogan or Ebay) they have to abide by our laws.

1. Do not be angry. If you can't let go of your rage get someone else to do the contacting for you. Give them the details they need like the invoice and the problem with the item. If the vendor tries to fob u off, stay calm. Repeat your problem.

We have good consumer rights in Australia and it's moderately easy to get your money back. It is not your right to abuse the person at the other end of the phone or email. It is their right to cut you off.

Goods not fit for purpose or that stopped working in an unreasonably short time for what you paid, (nearly everything gets 1 year guarantee, more expensive items like say air conditioners might be expected to last longer), can be returned, replaced, refunded.

2. These companies only deal through the retailer because the retailer allows it. The companies are desperate to maintain their window into the retailer, because it means so much to them in sales, so they don't want multiple complaints. If a company does ever fail to take action on your complaint, just contact the retailer with a calm explanation of your problem with their market partner, and they will usually light a fire under the company.

3. If you've paid by credit card, it's even easier to get your money back. Talk to your bank. Yes you will have to fill in a form (I've done this online several times) and give coherent reasoning with invoice details as to why the product needs to be returned or refunded. It may seem daunting but it's reasonably simple, and if u can't manage it, the bank will do it for you on the phone. N.B. I've never had to do this with any Market Partners on any site, just that it's something you can do.

Finally, yes, I'd recommend the Market Partners. Check prices against others online, sometimes you can get massive bargains elsewhere, but make sure the cheaper price includes GST and delivery. Happy shopping.

  Kogan.com

Massive Improvement – Credit where it's due. They've become a great place to shop with fast delivery, and if you run into problems, they're helpful and make either returns/refunds easy. They're very

strict on the people who sell through the site too, and Kogan staff are super-helpful. Recommended as an 'always look at' site, at least as a price check so you don't get ripped off elsewhere - Kogan often have the big brands now, and better than good prices. Kogan used to be less than desirable. Less than reliable. And you really didn't want to try to return anything unless you had a law degree and enjoyed a fight. That was years ago. I recently stopped all my 'sales' emails (to clear my inbox). I kept Kogan. I'm doing this review after ordering a new product (haven't got it yet, literally just ordered), decided to do one for the company.

  Verified 1800-Got-Junk?

Made a Hard Job Look Easy – Definitely 100% recommended. A company with its head on straight - rare and good to do business with. Will definitely be using them again. Friendly and informative, and in person

such nice people. They worked hard, made sure we knew possible costs. From initial phone contact through safe no-contact visit today, it was all designed to make it easier for us. And they swept up afterwards! Thanks due to lovely staff - Harry and Tony who did the heavy work and Jake who delivered the truck and did the initial quote, which was spot on. You're stars, guys, cheers. They did their best to pack to reduce our costs, much appreciated. People concerned over 'onsite quote system' shouldn't be. It's also easy for you to guess if you check the current price per sq metre with 1800 Got Junk beforehand. I was expecting about the price i got, was braced for it to be much more, so very pleased with end result.

  Capital Plumbing Gold Coast

Good people. Used for years. Very Recommended – Worsening leak somewhere, so our agent called in Capital, who have been their plumbing company of choice for years, and we'd thoroughly recommend. All the guys who attended were

great, but we wanted to single out James Read for today's work. He was cheerful, hardworking, and so patient with my lack of plumbing knowledge. James explained, then made sure i understood. He also really impressed the man of the house (who is a fitter and turner, toolmaker) with his thoroughness and fast, clean work. Capital Plumbing are always recommended, James especially.

  WATTever

Simple and good – I spent months trying to figure out a new best electricity provider - i had spreadsheets to compare, and was looking at lots of comparitive or provider websites trying to figure

out what to do (our old provider twice failed to offer us discounts that i only got by ringing and demanding, and they won't stop being involved in fracking/CSG so i wanted to leave). Finally - i ended up with a new provider. And then i found Wattever. And they confirmed - the new company IS the best for me. I could have saved a lot of time!
