This is probably the cheapest robot with an actual roller mop rather than traditional circular pads or the even older mop pad. The advantages of the roller mop is that it cleans

and supplies fresh water to the roller while it is mopping, eliminating the needs to stop and return to the base to clean the mop. This ensures deeper cleaning. (something premium you will find in more expensive robots).

This type of mop will mostly benefit houses with hard floors (tiles etc). The robot also has a split vacuum roller brush that spins hair towards the centre where they simply get sucked inside the canister rather than tangle around the brush. (Again something premium you will find in more expensive robots).

PROS:

Mopping is excellent for the price point and this is the cheapest model with a roller mop as well as one of the earliest to have adopted this mop system, even roborock did not release one until later and it costs almost double the price! (Better yet if you wait for a discount, it goes on sale often). The roller is a true edge-to-edge roller from one end to the other, hence why the robot is not the common ''circular'' shape.

The base is well designed and the water tank even has an LED light that turns red when something is wrong (like when it is empty) to alert you visually. The fresh water thank is one of the largest I have used and it will last for many runs! (however, due to the dirty water tank being large too, emptying it more often will ensure it doesn't become smelly).

Its side brush arm extends to reach corners (Another feature that is usually found only in more expensive robots). I have put this to the test and it works really well!

Vacuuming is very good and it has an automatic function where the suction increases automatically while going over carpets. As I mentioned earlier, the split roller brush helps to de-tangle hair.

The app has ample options from setting schedules, to setting up no-go zones, and even (Finally) expanding a map while it has already been created (This was a huge issue on many previous robots - not only from eufy) where once you created a map you were unable to add another room, instead you had to create a new map from scratch.

Eufy also (Finally again!) has a quick mapping option where the robot does a quick run to map your house conserving battery. In the past, with Eufy robots you can only map a home and clean at the same time, so if your house was big the battery could run out before mapping was completed. Eufy is late to the party as Roborock and Narwal had this for ages! (However, better late than never).

The robot has AI obstacle recognition and I put that to the test, by leaving 2 white socks (on white tile) on the floor and it recognized them and avoided them. It also pinpointed them on the map on the app. It did the same with wires and cords that I had on the floor.

Frequent firmware updates from Eufy (I had 4x in about 7 months I have owned the robot) improving navigation and other parameters.

CONS: (I hope a representative from Eufy reads this).

When opening the app sometimes the map disappears or when you select a room to clean the cleaning options do not come up thus you are unable to commence cleaning. (this is fixed by ''force closing the app'' and restarting). I emailed Eufy support about this and they were no help.

This is probably the most frustrating part, the robot is unable to recognize changes in its map on the fly. Meaning, when I move furniture around it still thinks the furniture is in the same spot from the previous run and it will avoid that area as if the furniture was still there! It takes a good 2-3 runs over the same area for the robot to recognize significant changes in the environment and adapt. Roborock does this on the fly in real time! if you stand next to it and you suddenly move it will still go ''around you'' as if you were still there! (This needs to be addressed with a firmware update). It is not a big issue however the robot has LiDAR navigation with RGB cameras so there is no excuse for not being able to adapt to changes in the map in real time.

The other annoying thing is once the robot cleans a room it goes back to the station and auto-washes its mop. You cannot turn this option off, which is totally okay, however after it washes its mop and you want to clean another room, it will wash its mop again before it starts! It does not remember that the mop is already washed from the previous run. This ''double-washing'' is a waste of energy, water and time! (A firmware update to address this should be fairly simple).

The robot can do random things (although it has improved from ''occasionally'' to ''almost never'' with frequent firmware updates) For instance, when it gets stuck and i have to pick it up, once I put it back down, sometimes it is unable to resume from where it left off. It seems like it 'loses its bearings' and it tries to work out where it is again then endlessly going around and around without success. (again this happens very rarely now after that last firmware update).

First time I ordered something and the products arrived the next business day. I didn't even use express shipping. They were well packed and I was satisfied with my order.

This dehumidifier is extremely capable ''sucking'' a lot of moisture out of the room indeed. The positives: It is very compact for a compressor model as I use it for my en-suite

bathroom - I managed to fit it in a 25cm-wide space between the toilet and the sink and it fits perfectly there while remaining effective. The wifi app is a game changer allowing to control functions remotely with a click of a button. The app allows adjusting the fan speed (low/high) and the humidity threshold you would like to maintain. Once you set a threshold say humidity no more than 55% - you set the mode to AUTO and the dehumidifier will come on automatically once it reaches 3% above that threshold (i.e. 57%). It will not stop until humidity drops 3% below your set value (i.e 52%). There is also a continuous mode and a sleep mode (In sleep mode the unit will stop operating and come on when the humidity reaches 63%). The LED lighting has 3 different colours (blue for low humidity, Green for medium and red for high) and all buttons are on the top of the machine if you prefer to control it manually. My en-suite bathroom is tiny and the tank will literally fill up in about 72 hours. It really has made a huge difference especially during showers where the entire bathroom gets so humid and foggy this machine brings down the humidity from about 70% after a shower to 55% in about 20 minutes. Once the tank is full the machine will stop and a message will display on the screen to indicate it. Other functions include a timer and a child-lock functions.

The negatives: Once the compressor is in operation there is a distinct rattle like when a fridge compressor is working. It is not overly loud but because I use it in the ensuite directly next to the bedroom it can be a nuisance overnight for light sleepers. (but that is easily fixed by putting the machine into ''sleep'' mode as described above). Being a compact model the water tank is small meaning regular emptying. The other issue with the water tank is that it has not been designed to be emptied easily and you will find spilling water everywhere while trying to pour it in the sink/toilet as it drains over several places once you tip it. It makes the room slightly warmer when in operation, although this is great in the winter time I am not sure it will be ideal in the summer.

The robot is not on par with others. I have owned it for a little over a year, although it is very reliable (never had a technical problem with it) it does not clean well

(especially bad at mopping) and the issue is compounded by a very basic and somewhat confusing app that has received no update for over 36 months.

The positives: Reliable robot that has not missed a beat so far Very good navigation and hardly gets stuck Base is very well designed and the robot enters perfectly each and every time Good vacuuming mode Great battery life and it charges quick too

The bad: For some reason, when the robot mops it takes a very different approach to vacuuming. If you choose "vacuum only" the overlap of each area is very good however if you add mopping or mopping-only there is almost no overlap meaning a lot of areas get missed. Edge mopping is non-existent although the company advertises that the robot mops edges by tilting sideways. The app is very basic and badly designed with difficult colour choices and it doesn't even show any furniture around the house or any solid objects, it just shows the floor as a 2D representation. There is a 3D mode but it just shows walls which isn't much help. Support is not good and they do not seem to be interested in helping or updating the app at all. For some reason there are 4 vacuuming power choices in the app but you can only see 3 before you start the robot, but after the robot has started you can see all 4. The robot always starts to vacuum from mode 2 no matter which option you use anyway.

In conclusion Narwal is certainly above average but software wise especially they are nowhere near the ''big guys" such as Roborock.

The flex yearly plans are some of the cheapest around you can get 17GB data on 4G monthly for less than $150 per year! However this is where the fun stop as literally 70-80km

outside most capital cities the network does not work at all. I was more annoyed when they bombarded us with text messages saying they are expanding their network in early 2025 but it is the same. I live In Adelaide and I went 82km outside of Adelaide to an area where the network coverage checker says there is 4G outdoors. both my wife and I had no 4G (or any internet data for that matter) for 2 days we were there. This is a repeating story every time we travel anywhere the same issue occurs. We have to rely on wifi or on someone else so after our current plan expires we are both leaving Kogan as the network is not up to standards to what is being promised. See screenshot attached.
