I bought a watch from world of watches on July 11th for a birthday present, they have great deals. 20th July email them because it will not work. Immediate response as your order is international. To avoid any additional costs for sending the watch back to us. Please take the watch locally to a trusted jeweler to determine what the issue is and how much it would cost to repair and will confirm how much can be covered by us.

22nd July we replied we spoke with the watch repairer and his quote is $200 to repair. So I’m guessing you would like us to return the watch to you. What is your process and the address etc?

WoW did not reply so emailed them again on the 27th.

WoW replied on 3rd Aug with Can you please send me a copy of the quote you received from the local repair shop so that I can check with my higher ups on how we can proceed to rectify this matter for you?

4th Aug we replied with He gave us a verbal quote of estimate $200 to get a written quote costs $85. We want to return the watch and receive a new working one Please advise us how to do this.

WoW replied 4th Aug Thank you for the updated information. I am going to check with my supervisor to see we if can authorize a return for this order and be in touch with your shortly.

On the 18th I emailed again, Now this is getting ridiculous, your last reply was 2 weeks ago. This needs to be sorted now or I will be going to PayPal and social media with my complaints. The sign of a good company is how they behave when something goes wrong and you have not been at all proactive. This was bought for a birthday present and as such I am also feeling embarrassed. Please replace this watch now with a working one!

On the 22nd August, I received an email from PayPal saying WoW had refunded my money.

This was not the outcome I wanted! if they were going to do that they should have done it from day 1 and not messed me around.

Building Inspection Service – So far Ross from House Calls has easily saved us his fee. He had brickies add more tie ins and had the carpenters add coach bolts on beams where they were just nailed. He found…

the roof tie downs from in brick cavities were not attached to roof structure this alone was worth his fee. He also picked on the 3 way ties in the roof as being inefficiently applied, which was then sorted.

We were very lucky during our build that when it came to the PC check there was very little for Ross to pick on. Is that because we had a good builder or did we have a good builder because we had an independent inspector? Chicken & egg stuff.

We did have a good builder but having Ross gave us great peace of mind from the slab being laid, during practical completion and throughout the process of building. We knew that if there had been any problems Ross would have picked them up.

If building we recommend you hire an independent inspector and we highly recommend House Calls to be that inspector.
