Kogan Mobile Kogan stole my number – I had transferred to Kogan as they had a good prepaid deal on offer, but after a weekend away and discovering network coverage was more of an issue than I had anticipated I… decided to switch to a Telstra-based MVNO. This is where the drama started. I have ported my number between Telstra and Optus based services multiple times and never experienced an issue. All were done well within the standard 24 hour period. However on trying to port out from Kogan, they will not release my mobile number. Everything is set up on the new provider's end, they just need the number to be released to them. I have called Kogan multiple times and this has still not happened. It has now been SIX DAYS since I tried to transfer my service, purely due to Kogan/Vodaphone's utter incompetence at a basic function of a Telco. I'd stayed away from Vodaphone services for years after their Vodafail network incident, but I thought surely they couldn't still be that bad and took a chance. Well as it turns out, yes, they are still that bad. Stay away for you're own sanity. |

Verified MyRepublic NBN 50/20 Enough is enough, I'm gone – I have been a customer of MyRepublic for nearly 2 years now. I have always been on one of their "Gamer" plans which for an extra $10 a month supposedly offers lower latency to… gaming servers. At first they were good, with consistent speeds and low ping. Although getting the connection up and running took 3 weeks, which is ridiculous when most ISPs can get you up and running in 3 business days! Anyway, in the last 6-8 months service has taken a sharp nose-dive. My "50Mb/s" connection has mysteriously dropped to 23MB/s for no apparent reason. My sub 50ms ping to US servers is now around 320ms. And it is guaranteed that the connection will drop at a MINIMUM of once a week for several hours without any change in status noted on MyRepublic's site, and no way to get in touch with a human being outside of business hours. I've checked my router logs, and it appears that their DHCP server regularly falls flat on its face and stops issuing IP addresses to clients. If even I can figure that out, and MyRepublic either hasn't or can't be bothered fixing a simple issue speaks volumes. The nation-wide outage this weekend is the final straw. I will be contacting MyRepublic's "customer service" chatbot on Monday and cancelling my service, already have another connection lined up to commence on Tuesday. |

MyRepublic Communication and network status needs improvement – The service is very good when it is running normally. However if service goes down in your area, it will very likely not be shown on their status page, making you think it is just… you and good luck getting in touch with support staff! My service has only been down about 4 times in the past 12 months which is acceptable I guess, but none of it was scheduled maintenance or listed as an outage and it was only via Whirlpool that I found I was not the only one with an issue. Seriously thinking of churning to another RSP when my contract is expired simply because of the lack of communication about network status. |

Vax Pet Pro VX39 One of the best vacuums I've owned - and affordable too! – I have 2 dogs and 2 cats and my old vacuum was struggling, it would take several passes to get most of the fur up. I saw this on sale at Good Guys and grabbed one and it's the… best vacuum I've ever owned! I first went over the carpets with the normal head to see how it did - so much dirt came out of the carpet I was amazed, and a little bit disgusted at how poor a job my previous vacuum did. After emptying the barrel I went over the carpets again with the Turbo head to flick up any pet fur that had embedded itself in the carpet, again so much fur was lifted from the carpet! Great bang for buck with this machine. |

Verified DHL DHL Supply Chain will make you lose customers – I made a purchase online from the Sony Store, and their only delivery option is DHL Supply Chain. DHL picked up my delivery the day after I ordered, took it to a warehouse in… Erskine.... And then left it there for two weeks. They can't tell me where my package is, why it was delayed and when I might actually receive my quite expensive purchase. I will never again shop online with Sony until they are able to offer a more reliable courier. |
