Suzuki Vitara LY Series II Vitara Turbo

Love my Vitara - even better than I imagined! – I was eyeing off the Suzuki Vitara Turbo for a few years but was put off by the gaudy red interior details on the Turbo models, which thankfully, Suzuki removed in the 2019/20

versions of the Turbo model. It looks a whole lot better inside now - the leather seats and soft touch plastics are miles above the older versions.

So I bought a Dealer Demo to save some $$ and am extremely happy with my purchase. Let me tell you why..

I adore how zippy this car is. It really has some go in it, which is reassuring for merging and getting out of tight spots quickly. It's actually hard to believe it's an SUV, it handles just as well as my Mazda 3 SP25. The Vitara provides a smooth ride and has all the safety features you'd expect from a new car, but not over the top with bells and whistles - I find the alerts are not annoying, more like polite nudges. I love the blind spot monitoring lights on the side mirrors for easy merging and lane changes.

It's comfortable, classy inside AND - a totaly unexpected bonus, very fuel efficient. I sometimes have to do a double take at the fuel gauge to make sure it's right. I haven't used the adaptive cruise control much as I just can't get used to it but it's a very cool feature nonetheless. It's true that the entertainment system does look dated, but if you plug your phone in, it doesn't matter as you won't see the interface. It can be slow to respond as well. The satnav is pretty poor but who uses in-car sat nav these days anyway? The stereo is great, very nice sound turned up on the highway for some fun cruising.

In my opinion, this is the perfect (small) family car for long drives AND for zipping around the city. It feels safe, modern and fun to drive. And it looks classy as a Landrover without the insane price tag. If you buy new you'll get free roadside assist and 5 year capped servicing. This is not an ad - I just love my car and even though I bought with a bit of hesitancy, after driving it for six months, I have zero regrets. I wanted to share my opinion for anyone considering investing in this awesome car.

  Super Nature Super Foods

Honestly why does it need so much salt? – I bought a whole stack of these for quick lunches as I’m at home busy with a baby. I quickly noticed I would get super thirsty and my stomach was very upset after eating them.

Then I looked at the salt content. It’s unbelievably high. On some of the varieties it’s listed in the top 10 ingredients. I think it’s dishonest to market your product as very healthy when the salt content is so high. Too much salt in our diet is linked to stroke and cardiovascular disease. It’s very unhealthy. I did wonder why - if they’re so healthy - they wouldn’t have a star rating on them. Well, there’s your answer. I hope if the company is reading this that they’ll take the feedback on board and drastically reduce the salt across the entire range, it doesn’t need it.

  MooGoo Edible Strawberry Lip Balm

I adore this lip balm – This is coloured with beetroot. It gives lips a nice rosy glow and keeps them hydrated. It tastes good too. I haven’t worn lipstick since I found this product, it’s perfect. I also use a little on my cheeks.

  tooshies Nappies Size 2 Infant

We love these nappies – Tom’s nappies are just fantastic. We’ve used them since birth for a lactose intolerant baby who has.. well utterly horrific explosive poos.. and they are up to the task. No leaks.

Plus they breathe, we’ve never had nappy rash. The designs are cute and they’re a better choice for the environment. Big fan!

  Bio-Oil

Gave me an itchy rash – Tried this for stretch mark prevention at 12 weeks pregnant. My first impression was that it smelled really weird and felt gritty between my fingers. Woke up with an intensely

itchy red rash the next morning exactly where it was applied. Some women swear by this product but it’s not for me. Have since switched to Palmers stretch mark massage cream which is fabulous.
