rubber feet, so it doesn't move around easily on the bench top. - Childproof - the lid has a lock which is great for childproofing, however the external elements still get hot so I would keep it out of kids reach to avoid injury. - It isn't heavy! If you store yours away (we store ours in an appliance cupboard), it really makes a difference when appliances aren't too heavy....this is always a big factor as we age. - It doesn't take long to heat - a big bonus considering the cost of electricity these days... it doesn't take long to heat and it doesn't take long to cook sandwiches/rolls.

Cons: - The finish is a glossy finish and always shows fingerprints (not a major con but it's on the list) - The lid can be a little heavy so it seems to really flatten the bread, even a Turkish roll turns out quite flat.

Overall, we would definitely recommend this appliance to those shopping for a new sandwich presser - you can't go wrong with a Russell Hobbs appliance, they stand the test of time with quality and functionality, and always seem to be on trend with the designs.

It's easy to clean too! The bread crumb catcher can just flip open over a bin/sink and then you just close the flap.

The toaster is quite slim, even though it's a 4 slice toaster, so it can fit in small spaces and the aesthetic is very modern.

boiling for green tea, black tea, coffee etc.... this is quite a unique feature and suits us really well. It's also quite when it boils, Russell Hobbs have really put a lot of thought into this kettle during their design process.

The aesthetic of the kettle is very sleek and modern, we have an industrial style home so the kettle has fit in very nicely but it would also suit other styles too.

It's also not bulky, so if you have a smaller kitchen, it won't take up much bench space at all!

This kettle definitely ticks all the boxes and something we will use for many years to come, and in saying that, we would highly recommend this kettle to anyone looking for a new one!

freezer is quite small and because they give you about 6 little individual drawers, they take up much needed space. If you like to store meats, I wouldn't recommend this freezer. - Leaves heaps of fingerprints on the front. Absolutely not finger print resistant. - We can't seem to remove the water jug, I think it's possible however it's incredibly difficult and we aren't willing to break it so we just leave it in.

Pros: - Makes its own ice!! this has been my favourite feature throughout Summer.. it fills up the container in 24 hours and all you have to do is press a button, fridge does not need to be plumbed for this. The greatest feature of the fridge! - The fridge layout is practical - it has 4 drawers, we use 1 for veggies, 1 for fruit, 1 for cheese and 1 for meats. The doors have sufficient storage compartments and the shelves are adjustable and deep enough to store plenty of items. - Looks modern and stylish. - Great energy rating!

Great coffee machine but – We went to the Good Guys to look at another branded coffee machine (same as what I had at my work place) and a sales lady showed us the Smeg Bean to Cup Coffee Machine (not what…

we were looking at originally) - she showed us how easy it was to use, and explained the necessities needed to use the machine, she also mentioned it was easy maintenance.

And she was right - it was super easy to use, it makes great coffee (pending your coffee beans of course) and you really don't need much to use it... the downside is the maintenance. Once a week, a white light comes on. Once a month we have to descale the machine. The little black cup that the grinder coffee bean lands in and needs emptying - I will wash that out the night before, and sometimes after turning the machine on in the morning, the white light comes on and tells me it needs to be emptied/cleaned.

The coffee machine I had at work, was being descaled once every 6 months and it didn't tell me things needed emptying/cleaning if it didn't really need that. and yes, we wish we bought the one we were originally looking for.

So if the SMEG machine didn't come with a hefty price tag and wasn't such high maintenance, I'd give it a 5 star.
