Nissan Juke F15 Ti-S Auto My favourite car ever – Love this car. It's very individual, sporty and as the ads say it is fun. It drives really well, the ride is high, and visibility is great. It looks like a 2 door but it's… actually a 4 door. Minor issue is I have the Digi Turbo top of the range model and storage is an issue. The base model has under floor storage in the back / cargo area. I'd also like a little more storage in the front, the two cup holders are a good size, but one (if not both) end up being filled with my phone and water then there's no room for the coffee! I wouldn't suggest this car if you want to get kids and prams etc in the back - but it is ok for a family of 4. Top model has keyless entry (that you can program to unlock 1 door or all), sat nav (which is surprisingly good), bluetooth phone connectivity. With the mobile phone integration, it's worth considering how many individual phone numbers you want to store in the juke's phone system - it allows 1000 numbers per phone - this sounds like a lot but if you have 3-4 numbers for a person, that's 3-4 in your car's system. The juke hands down is better than the Honda I also drove (that stores only 200). You can't selectively store to the juke's phone system it pulls over your contacts (when you tell it). An easy fix for me was to add an "a" to the front of the few contacts that didn't get imported because they were the end of the list and then re-import. Being able to almost step in and step out of the car due to it's high positioning is a real plus too. It's certainly not the quietest ride and it doesn't have the most gadgets - but it is fun and an enjoyable drive every day |

Speedy Shipping As promised – I ordered a scanner from Speedy Shipping... on the Monday after phoning first to check ETA and availability... Tuesday I emailed asking for the tracking number of the courier,… Wednesday I received the tracking number... Thursday it was in Perth and at the depot of the courier company.... the courier company messed up and left it in their depot... when i rang late Friday I was told it was too late for delivery and that it would arrive Monday... Speedy Shipping were great - everything went as it should... an unfortunate mix up with the courier was all that slowed the process down. |

Citibank Gold Bad – Would I recommend this card / company.. NO.. after clearing the balance totally and putting a few hundred dollars on it in my favour for when I travelled to Asia... it was a… nightmare.. even though I rang the bank and advised them I was going overseas (twice!)... first transaction was blocked a whole $30 AUD... and then everyone after that. After repeated long distance phone calls to australia (and no they won't ring you back.. company policy.. and I had an Australian mobile) I was give several different reasons.. I didn't tell them I was travelling(then they found on their computer that I did), insufficent funds (the acccount was in my favour), risk of a security breach... etc etc. in the end my card was frozen for 24 hours and all that citibank austrlaia could suggest was that I try to use my husbands card on the same account. Did that.. It worked once, then froze too. So don't ever rely on having one credit card for overseas. After 3 phonecalls and demanding to speak to a manager, I was told the best they could offer was to email support, yet because it was christmas eve and they were closed until the new year it would be ten days to get answer... That was no way acceptable, and eventually after several days the card was unlocked. To this day, 6mths later I have had no answer as to why it all happened, and what the problem was. Up until this experience I was reasonably happy with Citibank. * frequent flyer points * extremely poor customer service * poor support |

Wii Fit Excellent – I love the wii fit board and the features it has. I would like a few more fitness options with it, though I see that additional games are slowing becoming available. The daily… tips etc are great when you first start out.. but once you've seem them all, you should be able to turn them off. The boxing and yoga type exercises are brilliant and all help to encourage a whole body workout.. A great way to bring "justice" to having an entertainment console.. the wii board gets more use than the wii games that don't use it. All up I love it and recommend it 100%.. just spend the extra $20-$30 and buy a washable cover for your fit board.. it'll add to it's life and is so much easier to clean. If you're looking to buy a wii and want an extra incentive to get fit and get off the couch a wii fit is brilliant. the kids love it too, and I'm sure they don't even realise they are exercising... anything they can do to beat my scores at step etc. is enough of an incentive! * ease of use * ability to record additional activities / workload that I've done to my diary * large variety of exercises that come with the unit * menus are repetitive.. * setup (perhaps the wii).. is for the northern climates.. it's not summer in Australia in July! * |

TomTom GO 910 Good – I am happy with the brand, and the features tom tom has.. Occassionally the unit freezes and needs a full reset. Data isn't lost, and I've got around it by having a small… paperclip in the car to reset it with when needed. I'd definetly buy another tom tom when the time comes, though I'll make sure the unit is much thinner so that it can be easier to carry around when I travel. * easy to use * used in several cities and worked every time... * unit size.. not pocket friendly! * visibility in strong light isn't great * would like to be able to select a "range" and only have it display locations etc within that range.. * As much as I love the fact it is for all of Australia.. I'd much prefer my day to day searches to be within say a 100km of the CBD I'm in.. * Great if it had save my trip, as to the way I actually went.. not the way it suggests... |
