I blend a lot of smoothies and use hard fruit/veg and it has no problems blending it all together and there are no lumps. I have made a few sorbets and ice creams and it is brilliant.

A tip for washing is give it a quick rinse first with hot water (if your hot water tap isn't hot yet, don't worry, no need to waste water) and then squirt a little detergent in it and fill it 1/3 with hot water and give it a little blitz, wash it out straight away and no fuss.
