email saying my tickets had been cancelled and “upgraded.”

The so-called upgrade was a complete downgrade — from near the fence on the lower level to seats at the very top of the stadium.

I only saw the email shortly before the game and had no real choice but to accept what was offered. Had I wanted those seats, I could have bought them directly through Ticketmaster for much less.

To make matters worse, I had an injured knee and physically couldn’t even get up to those seats. I ended up not watching the game at all.

Viagogo’s response? No refund, no compensation, because I “accepted” the upgrade.

So I paid over $600 for seats I didn’t get, couldn’t use, and wouldn’t have chosen — plus additional costs for travel and accommodation.

This is completely unacceptable. Be very careful using Viagogo — you are not guaranteed to get what you pay for, and they will hide behind their policies rather than do the right thing.
