credit, they've really made me feel positive about the situation and their airline since the incident.

They are in the process of refunding the money spent on my original flight and the money I spent booking a new flight with a rival airline. They have also offered me a free return domestic airfare (or a return airfare to New Zealand) as a "sorry" for being put out. During this time I've been called by numerous Qantas staff who were all ensuring my refunds were happening as quickly as possible. Pretty good stuff from the Big Aussie.
