Electrolux UltraOne Z8821P Don't waste your money! – Purchased in March 2010 after being recommended by sales person at Harvey Norman for $590. My last vacuum was from kmart cost around $100 and lasted years. I decided it was time… for an upgrade with my dog, young kids and allergies. It was good in the beginning but now after 3.5 years it has broken down twice! The head was the first to go after 2 years and cost $110 to replace. The side plastic part where you house the vacuum stand also broke not long after. Now, the handle has snapped off! It seems to me that the plastic construct is not durable and can't handle the wear and tear. I will now have to spend the $50 odd dollars to have the handle replaced. My next vacuum will probably be a miele - never electrolus again! Length of cord was longer, good for allergy sufferers, quieter than last vacuum Expensive for what you get and broken parts after only a few years! |

Ikea Antilop Good – Great buy, durable good design and easy to clean. There is a reason why restaurants also use this model! You can quickly disassemble and store away or take with you on outings.… The high chair is very affordable, lightweight and easy to put together or dismantle. It is easy to clean too. You cannot adjust the height of the chair, only one safety belt across the baby's waist. The tray table which is a separate purchase to the chair is not very large so you can only limit what to put in front of the baby. No comfy seating for the baby or any foot rests (but that is probably not of huge importance) |

Bosch Maxx EuroWasher Front Load Washing Machines Excellent – Great machine for the price you pay. Compared to Miele and Asko which are much more expensive. We paid $920 and received $150 rebate from Sydney water. Water consumption is… amazing and the quality of the wash does not even compare to our old top loader. Would recommend this machine to anyone. I have the WAE24271AU model. My first front loader machine and I was a little concerned about the change from a top loader. We had had this machine for a month now and it is great. The quality of the wash is amazing. I did a load with my mats/rugs and it came out like it was when we bought it from the shops. You can really see how much dirt comes out when you look at the water. I was originally concerned about the duration of cycle times - but with the ability to set the timer, I use this for large loads which I want on the highest setting so it is ready when I wake up in the morning. It is a little louder than a top loader during the spin cycle - but is fine. Not really a con. As mentioned by others, you can only select the highest spin (1200rpm) when doing a full load (ie cottons). You can only use up to 800rpm max when using a half load. When I used the 800rpm on my towels it was still a bit wet but still better than the top loader. Not really a major issue - just a minor point. |
