Recharging failure – Great ear muffs with good sound. Unfortunately the charging port collapsed inside itself, preventing the recharging. Contacted 3M Head Office who immediately responded, & recommended that I contact the local NSW office (North Ryde). I have subsequently contacted North Ryde office several times but no response. It would appear that they are not… Read more

interested in after sales service. Good product whilst it works but the 3M aftersales service is non existent in my experience.

Charge port faulty and hide behind poor customer service – I purchased a set of 3M™ WorkTunes™ from Bunnings. They sound alright however after little use due to being too uncomfortable and hurting my head, the charging port on my 3M Worktunes fell into the unit or snapped meaning they can no longer be charged. After searching to claim under warranty I accidentally ended up on the 3M USA site, where 3M… Read more

worktunes rated 3.2 from 519 reviews. Apparently charging port failure is a very common fault. After navigating the Australian website, I left a warranty claim message and recieved a conformation email from 3M saying I would be contacted within 24-48 hours. After a week of nothing, my wife tried to call only to be on hold 1/2 hr and but her lunch break finished. I bet if I was trying to purchase 3M Worktunes this wait would be much shorter. I see Officeworks and Amazon have 3M Worktunes for sale.

Couldn't complain – Bluetooth works well and connects easily The bass isn't that good but If you have earplugs just sitting inside you ears with volume max they sound alright. Battery lasts plenty long enough. Easy to control from the button. Bluetooth can go long distance (don't know if that's my phone or the earmuffs) if your wearing earmuffs all day I would… Read more

suggest them. Cannot get the radio on these earmuffs. They have better sound quality than the GUARDALL earmuffs.

They work well with dual Bluetooth, If I have the earmuffs and a speaker connected, I can have the speaker playing in the room and put on the earmuffs when I need to go cut something outside.

Compared to normal class 5 earmuffs they don't block out as much noise.

Came from bunnings for $94

Went through two pairs in a year – When I first purchased these earmuffs I was amazed at how easily I could stream music and podcasts while I worked. Two months later and one of the speakers broke , turning the unit mono. I returned it to Bunnings for a new set , to be told I couldn’t return the replacement pair if they break too. Yesterday my earmuffs failed to turn on , even… Read more

after a full charge. Not happy with 3M’s product and not happy with Bunnings not standing by a product they sell.

Still really happy with these after 6 months – Bought these on impulse when my cheap earmuffs broke and I've been really pleased with them. I do a fair bit of whipper snipping, mowing and chainsawing around our property at weekends and the whole job is much more enjoyable being able to crank some music while I work. One reviewer said that the sound isolation wasn't great; I can't compare with… Read more

'professional grade' ear defenders, and I use mostly AEG electric garden tools which are less noisy than petrol, but I can say that they definitely block out noise better than the no-frills pair of muffs I had before, so no complaints there. Pros: - bluetooth connects instantly to my phone, every time, and it's never lost the connection - music quality is good, and plenty loud enough - at the end of the day these are for listening while chainsawing, so I don't need or expect them to sound like my Sennheisers - phone functions are a bonus and work well - I've received a few calls while wearing these and it works just as it should, fading the music then resuming after the call, and the inbuilt mic seems to work fine - battery life is incredible so far - I use these for a couple of hours most weekends and I can't actually recall the last time I charged them. I keep expecting the battery to run out, but they just always seem to say 'battery medium!' when I power them up... Cons: - I think the bluetooth antenna is in the right ear cup, and if I have my phone in my left hip pocket or left back pocket I get occasional dropouts in the audio of 1/2 to 1 second, usually if I'm bending down or twisting in a way that puts lots of my body between phone and ear-cup. This was only ever a minor annoyance, but ever since I started putting the phone in my right back pocket this no longer happens.

Really happy with these so far, and although $100 is a lot (for me at least) to spend on ear muffs, I'd buy them again in a heartbeat.

Really Happy – This is a fantastic product and is one of those purchases that months down the track I'm so glad I made. I do a fair bit of lawn mowing and use them each time. Sound quality is good and you can hear the music/audio book over the mower/trimmer well. There are other brands out there but what I like about these is the simple design. Most of the… Read more

others have more buttons, dials and displays that your average cockpit. These on the other had are simple and your average observer wouldn't even know they were Bluetooth equipped.

As a bonus they have a speaker in them and so you can take phone calls using them.
