Tired – Tired, dated, expensive and run down. Stayed here a few years ago and haven't been back since. Trust me, you'll do better staying elsewhere. In it's day it was fine, but that day was in the 90's!

Terrible service – We thought Abbey Beach resort would be a great place to stay with our 3 yr old. We have some serious room issues and what is meant to be a heated indoor pool, is instead really cold!! I have been to reception twice with my issues and have been waiting 2 days for the manager to speak with me. Really disappointed

Wonderful stay the best place for a family too, great facilities, so clean, friendly and the beach – We go back time and time again its excellent! Good location but plenty to do, great facilities for a family, kids love taking their scooters too, right at the beach and indoor and outdoor pools. Love it! Di

Office staff forget that without customers they wouldn't have a job – Abbey Beach resort is an amazing place to stay I have been staying there for the past 10 years This time I had to cancel my booking due to ill Heath I rang and gave over 7 days notice of the cancelation I was told this is fine and I would receive my 50% deposit refunded back to my account. I check my account 7 days later still no refund, they certainly didn't take 7 days to take the deposit from my account

I called and was told that all the reservation staff are busy and so done will contact me later that day, I left my details.

No one contacted me so I called again and the same scenario happened, still no one called me back and no refund in my account 9 days later

I called again and asked to speak with bookings manager, he wasn't available, however he did return my call, and I was told, that they didn't process the refund until 4 days after I cancelled and it is now another 4 working days and refund still hasn't shown into my account..

I'm not happy, with this service and poor explanation from the manager.

I have worked in the banking/finance industry for the past 30 odd years and to process the refund doesn't take this long.

The manager has promised me a call back tomorrow to see if it's gone through yet. We will wait and see on both of those things happening.

Please be careful when cancelling a booking, ensure you follow up on your refunded deposit into your bank accounts.
