Basic Must Have for Diabetes Monitoring – The Accu-Chek Aviva Connect is simple to use and a must for anyone with T2 diabetes combined with the test strips it takes only seconds to get a reading on your blood sugar levels. Download the Accu-Chek App for your device and record all your readings , it comes with the ability to customise notes as to when the reading was taken , ie before meals , after meals or custom. The lance is a simple pod of needles preset to your choice of depth so to get a drop of blood ( these are fully customisable ) and very easy to replace in the pen. A word of caution keep your hands and fingers clean before touching test strips so as not to contaminate the tip of the test strip keeping it free of any contaminate transfers such as anything sweet you may have touched and did not realise which will give you a false reading..

Purchased in at Chemist Warehouse for $45.

Only good if you need batteries! – After being with accu-check for some time we were changed to a accu-check aviva expert by our diabetes team Our son is 5 and been a type 1 all his young life so have used many meters This meter is a 'smart' meter by which it will calculate his insulin based on his carb input............ Great in principal until you try and purchase the test strips!

After trying unsuccessfully many pharmacys I rang the customer service line of accu-chek and was basically told that they can't supply the strips so I will have to travel at least 40k+ just to buy strips!

Absolutely pathetic to make a meter but make it impossible to use it!

Look after the REAL people here who will DIE without proper care from your machines- NOT the bloody part-time diabetics who just need BATTERIES to play with the latest gadget!!!
