I have had wonderful service from my Aldi Ferrex reciprocating saw, but the 4 bolts on each of the 2 Xfinity 20V batteries have rusted through, so the batteries have fallen apart with otherwise still good life left in them. I contacted Action Spares whose details are on the batteries, but they do not have spares as they receive only complete units… Read more
from Ferrex (understandable). But refusing to forward my email request to Ferrex, or give me Ferrex contact details, is hardly good customer service :(. (For the record, I do give positive reviews, have even done so for Insurance companies :) )
Lachlan was excellent, terrific customer service, and resolved my enquiry within minutes. Will definitely recommend!
Very disappointing - purchased an Aldi reformer in March 2025. I was unable to purchase myself due to the weight (67yr female) therefore had a friend pick up for me. The machine has barely been used as the undercarriage wheels keep losing the rubber and you cannot move the carriage. After the rubber was removed from the first wheel the second… Read more
then went. Unable to use the machine at all. I contacted Action Spares and as requested took photos. However as I only have the bank transfer to my friend clearly stating the date and in reference field for reformer they will not send out 4 x new wheels which would have cost them a couple of dollars. Rang and spoke with [Name Removed] with who I had been emailing. Asked if he could send the wheels as a good will gesture but he refused. He became quite aggressive in his tone and would not let me speak and spoke over me. I have purchased the wheels, as this back and forth was not worth the grief. To date the amount of usage I have out of the machine is minimal. Will never purchase anything again if Action Spares are involved.
Unable to get replacement pan for airfryer 3 months trying. Customer Service put in the Too Hard basket management not prepared to contact me It is fairly simple to send an email to the product supplier to ask for a replacement pan. I am still waiting to speak to someone in management to resolve the issue but not customer service. Regards John Terracall [Content Removed]
Warranty claim on Aldi Ferrex Lawn Mower – Purchased an Electric Ferrex Mower from Aldi. Bolt holding blade in place snapped. Made call to Lachlan at Action, sent photos and purchase details. Within 2 days had a reply they could not repair and authorized Full Refund. Extremely pleased with speedy reply & outcome.
Let's get real – I have to say I find it very interesting on all the negative posts. We here at Action Spares receive, on average, 1300 calls and approx. 900 emails every month. We have done so for over 11yrs. So, taking that into account, that's a conservative 171600 calls and 118800 emails over the years. There are roughly 21 reviews left - 2 positive and 19… Read more
negative - that's it. The old saying - if your happy you tell no one - if you're not happy you tell the world. These reviews are very one sided, (as they say never let the truth spoil a good story) and frankly only accurate to the storyteller. Seriously, if we were as bad as being made out, there would be thousands and thousands and thousands of bad reviews - and simply there is not. Most - if not all are from consumers "that want to show us" and this is their way of "revenge". Use logic here - 19 bad reviews out of over TWO HUNDRED AND NINETY THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED consumers served. HMMMMMM!
No complaints from me – Have seen some pretty dire reviews on here BUT I found Darren to be really helpful. I bought a piece of furniture from Aldi which I thought was missing a piece - I contacted Action spares who were helpful and polite, and sent a very clear list of what was required. Turns out I didn't read the instructions properly and the kit was complete. My… Read more
fault entirely, but from the procedure described to me there was no question that it would have been addressed had there been something missing.
Lack of communication & customer service – A lack of communication as well as no idea about customer service. Ordered a clutch cable for a Yardforce mower. Was quoted price & postage and ordered same. Waited couple of weeks before phoning them. Was promised an email reply as to order status but it didn't happen. Waited a bit longer & rang again to be given the same treatment. Finally rang a 3rd time to be told "that part is no longer stocked by us".
Seamless customer experience – Impressive customer service from the first email to the delivery of the missing part for a Steamer Mop purchased through Harris Scarfe. I emailed Action Spares and received a response within 24 hours; completed the claim form and then received the missing part one week later. A seamless experience. Special shout out to Sandra for her promptness and professionalism. Thank you so much.
Yardforce mower – Bought a Yardforce mower not quite 16 months ago from mitre 10 and now blade stopped rotating but told by these guys it’s out of warranty ok so tell me if it can be fixed ? So they send me an email for warranty claim so I start the process however I wanted to make sure so called them to reinforce it is a warranty claim and that’s where it all fell… Read more
down as they don’t respond to questions and can’t tell you anything about the mower ! The most unhelpful customer service I have experienced ! Do not buy yardforce as these guys can’t help you or won’t
Lack of Communication – Brought a YARDFORCE mower from Mitre 10 in November 21, after approx. 15mths the self propelled feature stopped working contacted Action Spares they advised to take it to a local lawnmower repairer, there are only 2 where I live & both would not touch it. Ended up pulling it apart & fixing myself (loose grub screw & shaft key fell out of drive… Read more
pulley) Dec 23 the self propel drive unit broke down (internal bearing collapsed) after supplying proof of purchase photo's were quite prompt to send a replacement which again I replaced myself. Also in December 2023 Lawn Catcher Bag split the plastic bottom of catcher thus not retaining the clippings, ordered a new one 27/11/23 phoned 3 times trying to get answer where it was & each time it was I'll check with the Warehouse but never advised of status. Finally on 1/02/24 received phone call from Warehouse advising that on the 10/01/24 they had called me twice, apparently my payment wasn't going through on C/Card. Last talked to service centre on 24th January inquiring status of order again I'll contact the Warehouse (no mention of payment not going through). Finally resolved on 1st February 2024 initially from warehouse then I phoned Customer Service and listen to THEIR PROBLEMS why the possible delay but I was NOT ALLOWED to point out all their shortcomings in communication as they threaten to hang up on you with unresolved solution. With any luck after more than 5 weeks I MAY receive my item but again no communication that it has been dispatched so I just sit & wait hoping it'll turn up.
They have your money now and are no longer interested – I have a Yard Force mower which wouldn't start. The Operator's Manual states a hotline phone number and email address for actionspares.com.au so I phoned and was told immediately that any warrantee service was not covered (my 3-year war- ranted still valid for 8+ months). As far as any “Authorised Service Centre” mentioned under the warrantee… Read more
there has been “no formal arrangements made for such” I am told by the very abrupt and unhelpful “hotline” guy - in other words, they don't exist! Exasperated, I asked Mitre 10, where I bought the mower, if they knew of a repairer and they obliged. I have sent three emails to the Support Dept of Yard Force telling them of my problem and have received no reply whatsoever! Summing up, I would say if you want a product you can rely upon for the good money you spend on it DO NOT buy a Yard Force (should be Yard FARCE!) product or ANY product which mentions Action Spares in their warrantee or in any way is connected to that product as you will be disappointed due to no customer support whatsoever.
WORST SERVICE EVER and sadly a lesson to never to purchase Aldi tools again! – Two identical battery charges both failed. Contacted "ACTION" end of November 2023 and provided all photos and details, photos etc requested. Subsequently advised differently to initial advice and also that one was out of warranty period but understood other was to be replaced. However, no action or contact from "ACTION" what-so-ever. After… Read more
following up several weeks later with "ACTION" they advised I had to start process all over again. As evidence of purchase "ACTION" requested I provide them "a copy of your bank statement showing the payment to the retailer will suffice." After searching through and extracting this information and sending it to "ACTION", I received a phone call from an extremely rude manager from "ACTION" advising that such information was useless to them! I note that "ACTION" has the lowest satisfaction rating possible. I also note that an engineer recently complained about the poor replacement attitude from "ACTION" regarding a charger!

DO NOT BUY TOOLS FROM ALDI if Action Spares do the Warranty – Action Spares is the worst Company I have ever had to deal with I was in business as a Electrical Contractor for 29 years I purchased a Ferrex 24 Volt Angle Grinder for which went faulty not long after I purchased it,Action wanted me to Break off the Pins in the Angle Grinder & send them a photo of it after It took 6 weeks for them to supply a… Read more
2nd hand Angle Grinder & Put a Battery into it & it was slow on starting, but looked ok 4 weeks Later,I put in a Blade & after starting it,I went to starting Cutting & as soon as I put ANY LOAD on it,it stopped, for which proved to me that the gears where stripped On ringing them, they wanted a short Video of it(typical of Action Spares) & stated to them to check the replacement before sending another as the replacement(second hand) was a DUD Extremely poor Service
I will never Purchase any tools from ALDI,IF Action Spares are THE SERVICE AGENT The Angle Grinder will now be returnt to Aldi for a full Credit after having a Return Number from Action Spares
No understanding of electrics, and rigid procedures. A blot on Aldi reputation – Failed Aldi 16V drill charger. I am an engineer, and I measured the voltage to confirm failure, and wrote to them because they never answer the phone. I provided the technical voltage details of the failure, but the manager insisted that I send a video of the failure. I explained that electricity is invisible but she still insisted. … Read more
Alternative is to pack up and send back to them. More trouble than the product is worth. ALDI should ditch this company. No wonder they have a warning on their phone answering message about not taking abusive language!
Wish I could give 0 starrating – Bought a cupboard desk combo. One part was faulty. I was lied to about the ETA of the spare part on several occasions. I asked for a refund which was refused. There is absolutely NO CUSTOMER SERVICE with this company. BIG FAIL!
service does not exist – Contacted them for a spare part, paid the money but no part supplied, cannot contact them as they will not answer the phone or reply to email. It would appear the supplier ALDI are the same as they also will not reply
Should be called " No action spares" – Purchased a cordless plunge saw from Aldi In May this year. Used it once and heard a grinding metal to metal noise, had a look and a bolt was loose and all beaten up where it had been catching the spinning blade, I though well this is dangerous and definitely a warranty claim....Wrong!! I rang the Actionspares number gave my details and was told… Read more
an email was on its way, I waited 3 days , no email, I rang again and got to speak to [Name Removed] who said I've given the wrong email address( Even though i spelt it out in phonectic) [Name Removed] straight away said he knows what the problem is and for me to send him pictures which I did, he then tells me it's not warrant it's not a fault, it's my fault as I've lost some kind of locking nut. The fact that [Name Removed] knew the fault beforehand suggests to me that it is a common fault which they cannot be bothered with, so even though it has a 5 year warranty I expect more of the same treatment if I make any more enquiries. Actionspares is taking money to look after Aldi customers and providing nothing , not good value for your money Aldi.
Brand new in box item not replaced!!! – Purchased 2 coffee tables for daughter and i was told that the very obvious crack was a feature in the natural stone and they would not replace it.Not happy as it looks like a deep crack. They also said that when manufacturing it they fill the cracks and sell them.So ugly!!! So unfair and a simple NO WAY was their RESPONSE.They don't care at all… Read more
about customer service.i really wanted to buy more of these but not anymore.Keep away from this supplier!!!!
Most disappointed – My wife and I bought a Crane air resistance rower from Aldi almost two years ago. I seldom use the machine however my eighty year old wife uses it almost every day. The return spring has snapped and on calling action spares to purchase a replacement I was told that they do not supply spare internal parts for this rowing machine. Consequently we… Read more
have no means of repairing the machine. I would have thought the return spring would be the most common failure point of the machine and therefore the most needed spare part. Most disappointed.
INSANE! Fraudulent Infantile - Will NOT Honour 5 YEAR warranty - Aldi 40v Battery Chainsaw – Sept 2021 - Made warranty request within 3 months of purchase. Main unit replaced under warranty by Action Spares 5 Dec 2021. As ALDI products disappear quickly, I requested to BUY spare Chain and Bar (Normally consumable) - I never received response. Had not needed chainsaw until 2 Oct 2022 and sent request for spares again. Meanwhile, on 5 Oct… Read more
2022, finally attached old bar and chain to replacement main unit and found fault with main unit (Often not turning on, starts then stops, and grinding sound) & Chain bends left & right along the bar and dangerously bucks off the bar in use!! ( I wondered if this original bar caused initial issues with my original main unit) 5 Oct 2022: ActionSpares responded with pricing for Bar & Chain 5 Oct 2022: I requested main unit be fixed and asked if Chain and Bar could be replaced as looseness is not a standard wear and tear issue. Action Spares indicated Chain and bar only replaced under certain circumstances and provided RNR warranty claim form email. Actionspares told me the failure to switch on was a common issue. 14 Oct 2022 I provided all requested details including pics, Online utube links to videos 17 Oct 2022: Action Spares again requested video of fault. I suggested they scroll through email thread for YouTube video links. They indicated that as I had not complained in 6 months since i received replacement, there was no real issue! -WHAT?? They expect domestic users to cut trees everyday!?? We didnt need it in those 6 months! AND...We had 4 years Warranty left!!! AND.... NEW issues can develop in 6 months!! They suspected I tried scamming them out of a new chain and bar free despite offering to buy spares initially AND...despite obvious videos conclusively showing faults with main unit and pics of the fault with bar/chain! They also AGAIN indicated they didnt receive any video links!!???? 17 Oct 2022: I said I didnt need to use Aldi saw in 6 months because we own 10 chainsaws for convenience / redundancy (including old petrol saws we dont often use) ( We live on acreage and are 4x4 enthusiasts -our cars have electric chainsaws for emergencies). As I could still see the video links in the email thread, I asked if its so hard to scroll down the email chain to see the video links. 17 Oct 2022: The manager stepped in and denied my claim as I own 10 chainsaws! Apparently this is indicative of a commercial enterprise which voids my warranty! We live 21km from Brisbane CBD - It is not for commercial use - I am a CIO, My wife a Speech Pathologist (specialises in brain injuries), and my father 84 year old and retired - If we can afford spare chainsaws for convenience, wee can afford the $60 bar and chain and dont need to resort to scams! I lost faith in ALDI products too!!
NO communication – I bought a YardForce post-hole digger. I did not realise there was a sleeve covering the gear box shaft so I could not attach the auger. I emailed their customer "service" (?). Days passed then I found my error. There was never any acknowledgement of my email and no attempt at subsequent communication. Poor effort.

Terrific service! – Great service at a reasonable price. Very efficient at taking my order for some nuts for an Aldi chest of draws. They got back to me when my card was rejected. Just opened their package. My order was packed so as to prevent being damaged during transit. Compared to the sense of dread we all have in ringing an organization, this outfit is fantastic.
Quick and Efficient – Purchased an Aldi Battery poered mower, only to have the catcher stitching separate during first usage. Rang the Warranty claim number at Action and spoke to Elyse who simply got me to take photos of the damage and forward by email along with warranty and purchase evidence. 24 hours later advised replacement ould be sent from warehouse ASAP, and… Read more
sure enough delivered eight days later by courier. Could not be happier with the quality or timeliness of service. A pleasure to deal with.
Action Spares hangs up telephone in ear – Hi people I purchased a air fryer from Aldi’s and it’s got a pan in the bottom that’s severally bent and the warranty is only a few months old. At the place we’re they supposedly are meant to replace parts for Aldi’s they actually hang up the telephone in one’s ear. Which I think is so rude , it would be different if one was swearing or yelling at… Read more
them but when you are politely explaining what has happened to you to the manager one doesn’t expect to be hung up on.
A disgrace - over promise and dont deliver – An absolute disgrace. They are the service agent for substandard sports equipment sold by Aldi. I recently purchased an aldi rowing machine, first one faulty and returned, second one faulty front stabilizer bar. Action spares call centre advised part in stock and I would receive it in 2 -3 days. Email received stated may take 28 days and dont… Read more
follow-up before this!! New crappy aldi product, have to wait 28 days for it to be useable. These guys are appalling and just give false information; totally untrustworthy.
