Hi Kat, We are a local Melbourne company. Our products are designed in Australia, and manufactured in China, as with most things. Quality is our main concern and we guarantee excellent quality on all of our products.

We would absolutely love to get them made here, and we have tried but none of the spring manufacturers in Australia have the machine to bend this shape. We are currently investigating buying the machine ourselves and contracting someone in Australia to do it for us, we are just doing the cost analysis at the moment, as with higher production cost and increased material costs it may blow out to a price that's just too high, at the end of the day it's only a clothes peg! We have toyed with the idea of buying the machine but still importing the steel to keep the cost reasonable, I'm not sure if that completely defeats the point of having them made here though.

We do respect people's choices to only buy Australian made, we totally understand and it is our goal in future to manufacture the pegs in Australia. While we do not currently employ someone to make the pegs here in Australia, we do employ the following Australian staff: two full time workers, two part time workers handling all our customer service and social media and three people in the warehouse dispatching our parcels. On top of this all of our bookkeeping, accounting and freight is arranged by Melbourne based businesses.

We are just a small family run business so we try to use the services of other small businesses instead of larger or overseas owned firms.
