Faulty – There was a chip on the handle of the inside bowl when I opened the box, and even on low it's more like a sausepans as it bubbles away making the lid lift up and down even though there was very little in it..
Perfect for one or two people – I have a larger slow cooker and it is wonderful for most things. However sometimes I just want to make enough for that day and maybe lunch the next. This little gem does a nice casserole type meal for one or two beautifully. I like slow cookers which cook SLOW, over 8 or more hours, not simmer or even boil it in 4 (on a low setting). After 8 hours my beef casserole had very tender meat and the veges were also tender, yet held their shape. I wouldn't try a single large piece of meat (eg: silverside), but then I have a larger cooker for that purpose. But for a casserole, stew, curry etc. I love it. The food cooked evenly, didn't stick and because of its size was light and easy to wash up. Cant wait to try it for deserts and possibly oats in the winter.
