1 Kallin Trotman  · Probably the worst company to deal with. Lock you into things unknowingly. Very difficult to speak to anyone. Avoid.
1 Pham N.  · Auto charge money for 2 years without using their services.
1 Deb  · Thieves with hidden cancellation fees, charged $129 dollars with tax for something that is not up to $30 monthly. So terrible

Title: Cancellation process was confusing, but Adobe eventually resolved the problem I subscribed to Adobe Premiere Pro in June 2026 on an annual plan paid monthly. When I later needed to cancel, Adobe sought an early termination fee of A$179.96. What particularly confused me was that my Adobe account displayed the statement: “Fee applies of… Read more

half your remaining annual commitment if you cancel after Aug 21, 2026.”

I was attempting to cancel on 7 August, well before 21 August, yet the cancellation process was already seeking to charge me the fee.

I also had considerable difficulty obtaining customer support. Adobe has subsequently told me that chat support is available to Australian customers through an icon in the lower-right corner of its Help Center, but that icon was not available to me when I was trying to resolve the problem.

Eventually the matter reached Adobe's Executive Escalations Team. They cancelled my Premiere subscription, waived the A$179.96 fee and confirmed that there would be no further charges.

Adobe subsequently explained that the reference to cancellation “after Aug 21, 2026” was not intended to mean that cancellation before that date was free of an early termination fee. I still think the wording was capable of giving a customer exactly that impression.

So my experience was mixed. Premiere itself was not the problem — I was using it to edit a documentary and expect that I may subscribe again when I return to substantial editing. My concerns were with the clarity of the cancellation information and the difficulty I experienced obtaining support.

To Adobe's credit, once the issue reached Executive Escalations, it was dealt with courteously and the financial issue was completely resolved.

I recently signed up for a free trial with Adobe and cancelled well within the trial period, yet I was still charged subscription fees. Attempting to resolve this issue has been extremely frustrating. Adobe’s support process seems designed to… Read more

prevent customers from speaking to someone directly. Every avenue I tried led me in circles, with no clear way to escalate the issue or contact a representative.

This is unacceptable. If a customer cancels within the free trial period, they should not be charged, and there should be a straightforward process to resolve billing errors.

Adobe, please contact me as soon as possible to investigate this matter and arrange a refund.

Don't use Adobe – I thought I cancelled my subscription months again. I stumbled on it by accident. Went to cancel again and had to pay this month's fee $15 THEN a cancellation fee $22. How can you charge an early cancellation fee for something that automatically renews and when I've already paid this month's fee? To top it off the the option to cancel my… Read more

subscription was not there! I could only click "cancel" which thanked me for staying with them. Finally, the 3rd time I followed the cancellation link the option to "continue" my cancelation finally showed up (see video below). They use trickery and make it so hard to cancel and the cancellation fees are a joke. What is the extra fee even for I've already paid out the month's fee?

I signed up for a free 7 day trial to edit one PDF with what I thought was Acrobat Pro and then tried to unsubscribe, but there were no options. Google account, but there was no subscription there either. It was the Easter Long Weekend of course. Then after 7 days they just ripped me for 4 different charges - see screenshot. One I could understand, but 4? I then deleted my Adobe account and made Adobe inactive in Paypal and hope they don't rip me again. Just read some of the other reviews and it seems I am not alone. Please beware - do not sign up for their trial!! It is a phishing scam by obfuscation. Such a large company too; I used to use their products when I was working.

Postscript: I rang their Sydney office about 6 times and managed to get this support number: 1800 614 863 and spoke to [Name Removed] in India. He was very helpful, he said he was cancelling my subscription and he would reverse the charges. Fingers crossed.

Post-postscript: Refund came through!

Just realised my student subscription of $21.99AUD/mo jumped up to $63.99/mo three months ago! Been using Adobe Products for 25+ years. It's time. Good bye Adobe. Excessive fees almost $100/mo for Pro account. Then when I cancel get offered a discount. Pffffttt! Time to go. There are so many emerging products that are now available. No more crashpad handler issues on exiting Windows either. Oh check the exit fee - $340 to cancel.

Adobe used to be terrific but they are letting the smaller businesses down with their over priced products. I just cancelled my Adobe Creative Suite. They signed me up under a promo for $47 and then at the end of the year I get a charge for over… Read more

$113. In the past couple years they remove lighting effects that have been with Photoshop since I started using it over a decade ago. They put that feature in 3-D rendering and want to charge me an additional fee just to used 3-D when it used to come with the product I used and paid for.

Adobe really needs to start considering the dedicated long time customers who are smaller business that use one product frequently and other products once in awhile. Anyone else out there in the same boat? Forced to cancel and looking for alternatives? If you find any that replace photoshop and inDesign I'd appreciate if you let me know.

Follow-up  · I mainly used Adobe for Photoshop and have found a free replacement Photopea. I also used Illustrator and inDesign once in awhile but $113 a month is outragous. I like FCPX for editing. One time purchase like the old days instead of this bleeding me dry monthly plans. I'll just use Google docs to create ads.

Cancelling your Adobe Subscription. In July last year i needed access to the redaction tool in Adobe, which is not available in the free version. So i accessed the free-trial version for less than 7 days, and then deleted it from my profile. The… Read more

one thing i could not understand is why they needed to have my credit card number in order to access the free trial. Turns out that Adobe started charging me $10.99 per month. I didn't realise this until I saw my Credit Card statement about three months after. As a consequence of the length of time it has taken me to make contact with Adobe, I am out of pocket to the tune of $66. That's not much, but it should not have happened in the first place.

It has taken me several attempts to contact Adobe to cancel the subscription. Principally because Adobe does NOT PROVIDE ANY CONTACT DETAILS ON THEIR WEBSITE. NO EMAIL ADDRESS. NO PHONE NUMBER TO TALK TO A REAL PERSON. Nothing.

Finally, via my wife's facebook, a friend provided a 1800 number to try. That number didn't turn out to be much help because it goes to an overseas answering centre and because that number was about IT difficulties with installing Adobe. I had difficulty understanding the person on the other end. Nothing to do with language or accent, because the line kept dropping out at regular intervals. The person at the other end was trying to give me an email address to write to, but I had great difficulty getting the email spelling correct because the line kept dropping out every few seconds. That made it difficult to get the correct email details. That was a very frustrating experience as it took three phone calls to finally get the correct email address.

When I finally get an email response from Adobe, they gave me two websites to try. One, I did not have authority to access. The other, simply took me back to the Adobe website ad the instructions on how to manage your Plans. But that wasn't working for me, because I had inadvertently removed the program from my Plan, but had not cancelled the subscription.

I had to email the person at Adobe back and tell them, again, that I was unable to Manage my Plan, and that it required action at their end. That person then sent me another phone number to try, and that seems to have finally worked. Adobe has just sent me an email confirming cancellation of my subscription.

The email address to write to about cancelling subscriptions is: apcresellers@adobe.com The 'apc' stands for Adobe Partner Connection. The phone number to call about managing your Adobe Plans is 1800 614 863.

This all goes back to Adobe. Their website is not very helpful when it comes to accessing the so-called Free-Trial. It's more of a swindle. And their website is of no help when you do need to make contact with them. Adobe could make this experience much easier by putting those contact details on their Australian website. This is a matter that I will be taking up with the ACCC.

Follow-up  · 1. When you look for more tools in Adobe than the free version, Adobe tells you that they can be accessed via subscription, but that you can have a trial access for about a week or 14 days. 2. Auto renewal - can’t unsubscribe until the month you subscribed in the next year. If you cancel the subscription even after a month you pay for the full year - and don’t even have access for the year you have to pay for.

Warning. Avoid Adobe and its increasngly outdated, outrageously overpriced products AT ALL COSTS. (Photoshop, Indesign, Dreamweaver, Premiere etc). Wish I could make it zero. I know I'm not the first person who's said that and I won't be the last either. Will start this off by saying that I love using premiere pro. all, it adds up, and second of all, it's unbelievably ridiculous why there isn't just a one-time payment option for the service. Final Cut has it, but adobe can't wrap their heads around that, because they're too interested in getting as much money in their pockets as possible. This might seem harsh, but the idea that they have a cancellation fee for their mostly mediocre and phoned in services is a joke. What's even the point? I've been paying for creative cloud just to be using premiere. Just let me buy it! On top of all of that is the ridiculously ludicrous "customer service" that they provide. Or should I say, that they don't provide, because their isn't even a number to contact them anymore. I know there used to be, because I've called it before when they charged me twice for one of their bloody subscriptions. Now all they've got is an A.I. assistant who can't help with anything, and as I've just found out, can barely even respond to someone saying hello! It's ridiculous that Adobe are as popular as they are. Am I doubting the quality of the services they provide? Absolutely not. It's ridiculous because every single person who works there would lose their heads if they weren't screwed on, and would lose their pants due to all of the money that they're thieving from their customers if they weren't wearing a bloody belt. Do better.
