Hi there Bec, yes, you can connect your 200W solar blanket and Kings Plus 20A MPPT Solar Regulator using Anderson plugs. The solar regulator's output should go to the auxiliary batteries (lithium or AGM). We cannot connect it to the vehicle's starter battery.

Kind regards, Sue

The top filament is flaking off. Does this make the solar blanket work less efficient? Is it time to purchase another one? It is still charging the battery. Thanks

Hi Brad, You will see a reduction in the efficency, while this isn't the end of the world for the panel we would say to keep an eye on its output as if it drops too low it may be worthwhile picking up a new unit. Regards, Courtney

As long as it is for your solar plug. If the Anderson plug on the front. Of your van is plugged into your vehicle to. Charge while travelling this isn't the right Anderson plug for solar in on your dcxc charger In the van

You need to read the instructions from the battery management system that you have installed on your camper.

Hi there, Unless there was a form of solar regulation this wouldn't be recommended. Regards, Courtney

Don't purchase from kings. It's cheap second hand Garbage and it won't last.

Second hand? It's not second hand if you purchase directly from the 4wdsupecentre. If you buy electronic stuff second hand then you take a big risk.

Are folding solar blankets ok on wet ground or if it gets rained on?

A better quality one may be but avoid Adventure Kings ones if there will be any moisture contact at all. My first one got rained on and swelled up and stopped working at all. The second one got damp, I towelled it dry then folded it and the surface then got all flaky.

Hi Sue, We would recommend propping the blanket up off wet surfaces and to not use while raining as this can take on moisture and swell. Regards, Courtney

200watt blanket are they waterproof, and are they compatible with lithium batteries.

I wouldn't leave it out in torrential rain, but mine had coped with the occasion shower of rain without a problem. Just have to leave it unfolded to dry out, or it will get mouldy if you forget to dry it out. Now regarding your lithium question. It's all about the solar regulator and not about solar panel. Your solar regulator must be suitable for your lithium battery and it's charging profile. The standard blue Kings solar regulator that came with the 200W solar blanket that I purchased was NOT compatible with lithium batteries. My free advice borne out of experience is not to buy cheap solar regulators for your expensive lithium batteries. You can also read my review of the solar blanket and see others have had a similar experience along the way. Happy camping

I have a 200w portable solar blanket. First time used worked great 3 days off grid, it didn’t miss a beat. Have now tried using multiple times and charging doesn’t appear to happen . I have had battery tested by kings and apparently it is fine. Lights are flashing on the mppt regulator but battery is not charging despite hours in the sun. Warranty is about to expire!

In my experience they're extremely poor quality. To test it properly, you need to test the short circuit current. Get someone with electrical skills to do that.
