Average quality grinder – I was expecting a little more but I sort of knew it would be slapped together in China and cost to manufacture would have been paramount. I think a gorilla with a impact driver assembled it. One stud holding the guard on was sheared off and another had stripped thread. Broken bracket holding one of the light bulbs. Both wheels badly out of balance had to epoxy 21gms of weight to one and 14 to the other. Both wheels have excessive axial runout. One wheel has out of round arbor hole. Apart from that it is quiet and once I fix the balance issues it should be vibration free. Tip to myself buy better quality power tools ie spend more money.

Purchased in at Bunnings Warehouse for $229.

Several small issues with my AEG - ABG5520 purchase today 17/08/2023 – 1] the plastic wing nut that locked the right side wheel 'tool support' is very difficult for a right-handed person to engage the bolt.......2] both the left side 'tool rest' and the right side 'tool rest' were over bent [past 90 degrees] in the forming process, which caused each of the tool rests to contact or jamb on the stationary wheels when attempting to fix to the wheel guards. This required a little reforming [by 3 degrees when measured with a digital display] via my in a vice to achieve the accurate 90 degrees........3] the illumination lamps cooling slots over each wheel distracts with the line of sight from the work being illuminated.......I will add a small deflector sheet over the cooling slots whilst maintaining adequate cooling...........apart from these minor issues, the AEG 5520 is a superb machine and operates with minimal hum and virtually zero vibration..........I recommend this AEG machine, as two of lesser Brands were returned for exchange due to wheel wobble straight out of the box ....Derek from Australia

PS...I have ordered two only 12volt x 20 watt LED lamps to replace the as fitted incandescent globes which should provide far greater illumination over the original globes

Below expectations! – Plastics are cheap- top ones were broken when I opened the box. Left wheel is wobbly as it is fitted carelessly. I put review on AEG site and it was blocked because it "DOES NOT MEET CRITERIA" ! ! What an excuse to have only good reviews! Put 2 stars instead of one as one side is usable and I managed to glue broken plastic parts.
