Don't be fooled into buying one. It is the most "crappiest" not to mention the most Inaccurate device regardless of the ridiculous accuracy they state. Also impossible to level or direct because it is just poorly cased and the laser beam always points in any direction rather than where you aim it. Need I say more. ALDI remove them from your stores or else have each one checked and verified accurate by an expert, prior to selling them.

Mine is faulty, I have never been able to get it to read no matter how clear the room is. Regardless upon reading the instructions several times over while trying to get it to work at all, I soon realised it is fatalty flawed in the first place. 1. The idiot who designed it didn't make the back part that sits against the wall flat, decided a curve was suitable ??? So it is impossible to hold it steady/level and have any accuracy as your laser beam wobbles with natural human hand shake. Also the vertical level is of little consequence even when perfect if the horizontal beam is at a bung angle (see photo angled 45° on wall yet level vertically) because they made the butt end all voluptuous and curvy. (insert face palming emoji here) 2. It doesn't work near corners or hallways or through doorways due the crappy beam fanning out so I'm hard pressed to find any wall or room in my modestly sized home that would qualify unless I moved out all the furniture, had no cornices, corners, narrow areas, and got rid of the recessed sections of wall. 3. My one is definately faulty, it has always just displayed err every scenario so I wasn't even lucky enough to test it's accuracy with my trusty old tape measure. I'll return this glorified red torch and get a proper professional grade one. The time I wasted on this thing could've paid for the $400 one by now!

Purchased in at ALDI for $30.

Not great, not even for beginners. Maybe for very rough estimate work – This is a cheap functional but not sufficiently accurate distance measurer. PROS: very Cheap under $30 AU. Light and very easy to use. Can calculate distance, area and volume. Comes with manual. good enough for rough estimates within 10mm. Metric and inches toggle, click-pulse feedback sounds (That is a large error gap for indoor measures). CONS. NO laser light to affirm target spot for measure. Roused end add uncertainty to internal measures, only displays in cm intervals so mm finer measures are excluded. NOT GOOD for cabinet work as too inaccurate. It’s Untrasound bean spreads out like a fan (manual notes) so is very easily reporting back off nearby objects. Aug2024 Australia review.
