I have bought my Christmas ham from Aldi for the last three years and really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, this year the ham was so salty it was nearly inedible. Might have to rethink where my ham comes from next year.
Disappointing festive ham – Very difficult to remove the elastic webbing on outside of ham. Pulled skin off in chunks and was not sure I got it all. Skin was very tough, once marinated and finished in the oven it got worse, which made slicing it abit dangerous. Seemed rather heavy with salt which made me need to drink alot of water. Taste was flavoursome though. Disappointed that the hams were only 10% Australian content, was that the price sticker? Rather expensive for the disappointing product.Also could not see country of origin. Will stick with 100% Australian pork in future.
