ALDI Soft Close Toilet Seat Questions & Answers
VerifiedWould you please tell me where to buy the parts of Aldi soft close toilet seat (Simply Bathroom).
I have a Simply Bathroom toilet seat 8731. One of the stem bolts has broken and I would like to replace it. Can I contact the manufacturer or can you advise how I can proceed? I do not have the receipt as the seat is more than a year old, so it is probably out of warranty
Ebay is your friend " toilet seat bolts"
can you repair Aldi soft close toilet seat
probably not worth it - mine broke after manhandling it too roughly too many times - ended up getting a replacement at a big box hardware store for around $20
Where or how can a get instructions for install a toilet seat from Aldi? The instruction sheet that came with, is usless.
Wish I could help you. I’ve come on here to find out how to install it. There’s no holes to put the screws in and the instructions are terrible. All diagrams and no instructions in writing.
Where would I be able to purchase. Was able to purchase one at store but need two. Only had one. None of your other stores have any.
Thank you
G'day Awsome - Bunnings have oodles of models of soft-close DIY toilet seats (see online catalogue), and some for around the same price as the Aldi one. If no luck with Aldi, you might want to check them out. Cheers.
The link for assemble instructions doesn't work, says its unavailable. Why?
I, also found the site unavailable on youtube for the Simply Bathroom Soft Close toilet Seat from Aldi.
What size toilet does this fit please
The Aldi toilet seat fits most standard size toilets, my measures are all approx. The outside measure of the seat is 37cm wide x 45cm long (45cm long includes the hinged section), the oval gap in the seat is 23.5cm wide x 29cm long. Our own porcelain toot on the outside measures 34cm wide x 44cm long (44cm long includes the area for the hinged section) and the gap on the inside of our toot is 28cm wide x 33cm long. We still have the Aldi toilet seat we purchased last year and it is still working well. Hope the measurements help.
Thank you. Terrific..I will measure my toilet to see if it'll fit

Toilet pan glazing in the bottom of the pan now non existing. Phoned and emailed Nuservices as instructed by Aldi representative suggesting "caused by some type of cleaning agent" purchased from Aldi photos are very representative of damage. Usual story haven't had this problem before? Waiting for "Director" to make a decision. I will certainly be seeking assistance from Fair Trading

Don't know about 'soft close' but I bought 2 wooden toilets seat from Aldi.
First one, the brass hinges 'rusted' away before long and after 2 years wouldn't move anymore.
Second one, the hinges just worn out after 2 years and now also unusable.

How do you adjust the Aldi soft close seat?
Hi Gilly,it is practically impossible to adjust..the two chrome closer units have long stem bolts attaching by the head on their underside.Idea is that you can slide the closer units from side to side to adjust to the holes in the rim on the back of the toilet bowl, obviously there are many variations in toilet bowl around the world..sort of one size fits all..I could not get the closer units tightened onto the bowl rim tight enough to prevent the seat sliding from left to right, about 20mm either way, VERY frustrating..tried everything..ended up using bigger bolts, different bolts, washers ,nuts ,nothing seemed to work..if you tighten the bolts too hard you can crack the bowl, its only ceramic..finally got the bolts tightened as best I could, but they loosened after a week of use..the soft close aspect worked for about one week, then it just went back to slamming shut as it fell..Finally the lid broke partly my fault, the instructions say not to sit on the closed lid,but my toilet is small, and I did sit on the closed lid.Fortunately I was wearing jeans, and sat on the lid just to cut a irritating toe nail..and BANG the lid broke into about 7or 8 pieces, with a loud noise..all the pieces had sharp edges, almost as sharp as a knife.! Had I been naked I could have been lacerated.. I am thoroughly disappointed by this product, and will go to Bunnings soon to buy a proper Australian Made one, like was on the toilet before..Personally I think you should remove your one,and replace it as I intend to do,with a quality one..the sideways movement, improper closing are a nuisance but the breaking is Dangerous..I am not a big or weighty person, only 90 KGS..this should not happen.. how to contact Simply Bathroom?
Regards,
Rob
Have to go through ALDI, it is one of their house brands... Doubt they will be much help though maybe offer you a refund,at best. They don't disclose their suppliers, and can change the supplier contract without too much difficulty... You find that its the same product as they had before but it is now packaged slightly differently, and has different supplier code marks..some of there products have customer service No's for the supplier on them, such as Traveller,Medion,Ovibell and Tempo, but "Simply bathroom" does not..hope this helps Elliott
Thanks for your reply,Contacted Aldi, they were very helpfull, nice lady sorted the problem, all good,
Regards,
Rob
