ALDI Sticky Date Pudding Questions & Answers
VerifiedWhy discontinue this line of pudding? Our family absolutely loved the butterscotch, chocolate and sticky date. Topped with ALDI double cream and it was restaurant quality. Please bring them back!!
Discontinued!! Now that is a real shame ALDI…considering it was of such good quality, price and taste, that’s a disappointing response.
I only heard about this when I saw your statement about Aldi doing another backflip on one of its popular products, and yes this was a tasty dessert better than most. I have seen other popular products go the same way such as their own version of twisties (which were always more popular than other snacks), their tinned vegetable soup, their Jalapenos in a jar, their Beef Pho soup in a sachet and more. One thing that contributes to certain products disappearing off the shelf is low demand, which we all know is the main driver of any products longevity on the shelf. But I also believe Aldi do the same thing in reverse - that is when a product is selling too well and Aldi are loosing sales on other products in the same category due to the highly popular product, then they decide to remove the highly popular product due to this. There are probably more business reasons as to why certain popular products are removed from their shelves (such as manufacturer issues, ingredient supply issues etc), but I started thinking about the second possibility when I saw a pattern with a few of their products I (and other) got hooked on and then all of a sudden disappear from the shelf for good.
Is there any other way to cook the Aldi mature xmas pudding ?Just spotted microwave instructions ,however,do not own a microwave.
