Yes. You can. Hot water is obviously better as it melts away grime build-up. The grime build-up also happens inside the washing pipe outlets and drain. So, it's a cleansing there as well. If you have a top loader, start to fill the washing machine with cold water. Press pause and get hot water into buckets and pour into the washing machine. The machine should pick up water level when lid closed and you release the pause button.

I'd be inclined to turn off taps to washing machine and see if the blocked hot water hose can be easily removed and cleaned. I'd have a bucket for the hot water tap first to see if hot water easily flowed into the bucket or not. This way you see if blocked hot water tap itself, or blocked hot water hose. See if someone can help you disconnect hose, clear blocking and reattach hose securely.

Aldi just had them as Special Buys about 19.4.2023 and after, until they sold out, or Aldi took them away from the special buys area. Aldi usually place this item on their Special Buys twice a year for the Laundry Special Buys sales. There is usually stock still available for 1-2 weeks after simply because a lot of people have not realised how great the tablets are and I'm guessing that the washing machine needs a good cleansing.

So, always keep an eye out for their forthcoming catalogue sales and always check every page carefully in case they throw the this item in as an extra item in their sales. Buy at least five or more packets. When they first put these on sale the original packet was twelve (12) tablets and then the second packet on sale for the same price was eight (8) tablets and appears that they only do the eight packet now. When you do the first cleanse ensure that the filter is cleared out of debris and placed back in. Do a full cycle with hot wash. Because my washing machine is a top loader I could pause my machine and I opened up after 5 minutes on the initial wash cycle. I used paper towel rinsed in the water and washed around the top of the bowl. I pulled out the detergent and softener dispenser and rinsed and cleaned this out thoroughly. Also used an old toothbrush to get into tight spots. Rinsed this again in the hot water in the washing machine bowl and placed back to it's place. Started the machine again. When washing machine finished, check the filter again and clean out if necessary.

I do a cleanse after every pet blanket wash for hygiene reasons and also do a cleanse after at least 6-10 washes. I sort of get a feeling that it needs it and you will as well. Aldi. When they have they Special Buys. Just looked up when I purchased more and that was on 4 February 2022 so that means you should keep an look out for Aldi Special Buys catalogues from now. Aldi use to issue them on their Special Buys each year before 2022, however last year I noticed that it went on sale only once and were the 8x Packs. Before they did two sales 6 months apart and packs were 8x and 12x. I'll be stocking up with more so I don't run out and I do regular cleans of my washing machine. Full cycle and full hot. Just remember to clean out the filter before you do the cleaning. Also, these (a couple of packets each) are a great gift as well for someone you care about.
